Interesting. I've noticed that usually when you go to underbalance in a handstand, you still keep your arms straight, but I have seen other calisthenics instructors recommend bending the arms. Is there a reason you don't usually bend your arms?
Paul, been following you now for a couple years and have progressed nicely thanks to your coaching! Old guy here 66 yrs. old still working on the one arm now for close to a year.Don't have it yet(not easy).Anyway ,thinking about getting some parallettes , how high off the ground and wooden or another type do you recommend? Thank you
Thats awesome to hear! Can't wait to see the One Arm. For Parallettes I would start with very low wooden ones but the longer ones. Then add the higher ones when ready as an addition not as a replacement. Different skills need different heights. Help that helps
I feel like you provide so much free information with your videos you post on RUclips, I’m wondering how much content is on the app for learning the freestanding handstand that I haven’t seen before or worked on from your videos.
My goal with the App is to put all the information together into an easy to navigate format thats more structured. With programs, follow along classes, video tutorials and exercise demonstration
Nice. I’ve been trying to stregthen this position lately. But I have trouble with straightening my legs in a bent arm handstand position going from tucked in legs to straight legs. I lose ppt and get pretty sloppy.
I’d train both balance and general calisthenics strength (dips, chins, push ups, row and Skin the Cat) see this one ruclips.net/video/hnzTiSERshQ/видео.htmlsi=Gx9d5qT1IlEE2myK
I need a video on how to get my butt on the wall without the lower back! I keep trying, and seeing others do this so easily. Why can't I peel my lower back off? I can hold a wall handstand for about 1:30 but can't flex my hips back and forth like I see you do so easily.
Hard to say without assessing but make sure you doing enough mobility work. Moves like Jefferson Curl are amazing for spinal mobility and hanging/foam rolling for thoracic. Plus Chest to Wall Tuck Handstand holds
Just got your app for 6 months! I’m pumped! Unlocking the freestanding handstand is #1 goal. Hope things go well.
Great!! Let me know if you have any feedback or requests.
My goodness, your skills are amazing!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you

Hi… to do handstand, is arm strength very important? If yes, how do I train for that? 😊
