Oprah Delivers Inspiring Commencement Speech at Tennessee State University

Oprah Winfrey delivered a commencement speech to more than 600 undergraduate students from her alma mater, Tennessee State University, on Saturday, May 6. Winfrey, who received her degree from Tennessee State University in 1988, emphasized to students the importance of trusting their own intuition. “I know not what the future holds, but I know who holds the future,” Winfrey told the crowd. “You’ll begin to know your own heart and figure out what matters most when you can listen to the still, small voice," Winfrey said. How can this be inspiring? She sounded angry. Made it sounded like these young adults are facing a world full of dread, no opportunity, that they are victims..It was all angry political left leaning geopolitical and social angst. Instead encourage these newly graduated privileged kids to go out and make their mark, their futures are bright.
