  • Grana Padano is made only in specific regions in Italy from raw milk produced in these regions. Every wheel is made using a unique procedure, which is repeated time and time again in exactly the same way.

    I just bought this because it liked good at Marks & Spencer’s. Oh boy, it tastes delicious! Never heard of it (I’m totally noob about cheese) but I had to know where this came from.

    I hope that the Grana Padano people are proud of what they're doing to Gavin Webber. They should be ashamed of themselves.

    Came here from Gaven Webber's recent video. The cease and desist letter was very telling. I suppose a cheese making youtuber can be very threatening to such a large company. Perhaps instead of seeing him as making "counterfeited replicas" (he said in his original video that it wasn't Grana Padano cheese) you could understand that many are actually introduced to your product through him. I actually didn't know what Grana Padano was until I saw his video randomly on RUclips. Sadly, I won't be buying Grana Padao because of that letter and the language used "should you fail to comply.." etc

    I thought it was made of raw milk

    • @RufusEatsCheese
      @RufusEatsCheese 5 лет назад

      Ricardo Prado It does mention that they add “fresh milk” but it is then heated to 55 degrees C. I do t think this counts as pasteurisation as that needs to be at least 71.7C. The heating of the milk is more a production method, similar to alpine style cheeses like Gruyère.

    The making of this cheese is so meticulously done after watching this video I will definitely try it in the future.But the company staff should change the name of the you tube video from "how it's made" to just simply" The making of the cheese".Why? Because I found the video not on "You tube" but on the actual site and the title is shorten to Grano Prada: HO they have just done soo much work to present there traditions in carefully making the cheese that that marketing oversight can deter future customers.Someone on their staff should fix that right away.Again I will try the cheese in the future.Ciao.

    unfortunately you forgot something. Namely that calves are separated from mother. That the male calves are murdered. That the dairy cows are constantly raped and are only allowed to live for 5 years instead of 20/25 years (natural life time).
    Why don't you tell how much innocent blood is poured during production ???
