One of the pioneers of Total Football was Vic Buckingham, a former Spurs player who won the league under Arthur Rowe in the 'push and run' side in 1950/51, alongside Bill Nicholson. Push and run was a form of Total Football, that Arthur Rowe developed, and Buckingham having played it then took it to Ajax in the 60's and Barcelona in the 70's. Two Dutch players who played under him were Rinus Michels and Johan Cruyff, who both developed the Total Football philosophy further. Genuinely wish that if journalists are going to ask questions about a certain subject, that they look them up a bit more in detail. Because asking a Spurs manager about Total Football, when our manager in the 50's created a style of it, and one of his players developed it further and took to the Netherlands and Spain, seems ridiculous without knowing the history.

I think Timo is feeling the pressure which has him making the wrong decisions with good intentions, once he lets go and believes in himself like Ange does he will change overnight.
