    I love to add that 1/2 stitch. It makes that JK sit very nicely. That is a great tip.

      Thanks Harolah. I definitely agree, the extra 1/2 stitch makes a difference.

    I think I need to start using 2 colours of thread, to help me out, - all that tatting is rocket science to me still

      Using two colours really does help. I teach in person and online classes - message your email address to me if you'd like information. 🙂

    THE POSTING PART [[INFO]] EXLPANES THE REASON SOME OF MY 5 PICOTS [[THE LAST ONE]] WANTS TO FOLD INTO ITS SELF...
    I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY AN HAVE HAD A VERY HARD TIME OF KEEPING THEM FLAT
    MY PATTERN WAS::
    1-1-1-1-1-1 CR RW
    THE LAST PICOT WANTS TO FOLD IN ON ITS SELF SHOULD I DO THAT POSTING OR NO???
    THANK YOU FOR THIS WONDERFUL VIDEO I HAVE LEARNED SOME REALLY GOOD THINGS TY TY TY

      YES, I WOULD. THERE'S A COUPLE OF THINGS YOU CAN TRY. YOU CAN MAKE AN EXTRA HALF STITCH AND THEN CLOSE.
      SO YOU WOULD MAKE YOUR 1-1-1-1-1-1 THEN ADD A HALF STITCH (THE 2ND HALF) THEN CLOSE YOUR RING;
      OR
      YOU CAN MAKE THE EXTRA HALF STITCH AS WELL AS POSTING YOUR SHUTTLE.
      HAVE A PLAY WITH IT AND SEE WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU.
      I'M SO GLAD YOU ENJOYES THE VIDEO! THANK YOU.😊

      I was searching for a crochet pattern when I came across a picture of tatting - I found it mesmerizing! So began my tatting journey. All the best for your future tatting.

    how do they hold up on items that are washed? or are these meant for items that don't get washed at all?

    • @NooBearAus
      @NooBearAus  Год назад

      Do you mean Josephine knots - or tatting in general? You CAN wash tatting but I would advise to hand wash. Then, depending on what it is and how it looks - you will need to pin it out.
      Needless to say, not a lot of everyday wear items have tatting on them. I hope that helps.
