You said, "I like to know how stuff works..." I really agree with you on that! The way my brain works, I need to know not only how to do a technique, but why you do it a particular way. I also need to know what the results are if you don't do it right. I love that you explain all three things in your videos. That's what I really like about your teaching method. Also, I really love how clean and uncluttered your workspace is. P.S. I realize I'm leaving a lot of comments on your videos recently, but I'm kind of binge watching them this week.
Maybe we were sisters in another life?🤣 I HAVE to know the how's and why's of things. Thank you so much for your lovely comments - they mean a lot. Sometimes it can take me days to make a 5 minute video; they are a lot of work (not complaining or fishing for compliments, simply saying how it is) and I really enjoy doing it! But it is nice to know that my videos are being enjoyed, and most of all helping people. I can't stand clutter (says she hiding the rest of her sewing workroom!) But it is a 'work room mess' - you can't work without creating a little mess. I design and make totes etc. They can be seen in albums on my Noo Bear fb page if you're interested in having a squiz. facebook.com/Noobearaus Thank you for taking the time to leave comments, it means a lot.
Your expertise never ceases to amaze me! It's great to see the number of your subscribers rising. There's hope for our love of the disappearing arts! Keep up the great work.
I've been tatting for so long doing the basics now that trying NOT to flip a stitch is SO hard. I want to learn though because im working on larger projects where it would be nice to not have to reverse work constantly
If you know how to work block tatting then it will be a simple case of following the instructions in whichever pattern you choose to make. The instructions in your pattern will tell you how and when to join. 🙂
Hi Mirella, I bought the stitch markers from a place called Sunspun - I will include a weblink for you. I made the picot gauges myself and will include a video link which shows you how to make them yourself. I hope that helps. I use a lot of "incorrect" technique in things simply because I like the way it looks better.
