I knew that his wife had an an autoimmune disease years ago when they got married but here he is singing that even she can't help him now that he must make that decision and draw the line in the sand... Well we the remnant know exactly what he was saying that only JESUS could help him even if he did not understand the Holy Spirit was prompting those to consider their wives/husbands, family friends could not help them with not taking the MOB or taking it? He would have made amazing music in any era, now and forever. The talent is undeniable. Seeing him live is even better. He makes every song different each time and he has a blast. Any time he (or matchbox) is within 300 or so miles... I'm there.

I used to have a cat that would come and sit right by the speaker in my house when I would play certain songs....always the same songs. It makes me wonder what it is about a song that an animal might like or dislike....they don't understand the lyrics, so can they feel the emotion conveyed in the song or the emotion of the person they are around who's listening to the song, or is the sound just pleasant to their ears? Also, Rob's music did and and still does have a profound effect on me...the music, the lyrics, his voice...he reaches into your soul. Unwell is probably my favorite but it's really hard to pick just one favorite. But if I had to that's the one.

Saw him twice during the Chip Tooth Tour. Once in Cleveland (northfield) at the beginning of his tour, and then at the new youngstown amphitheater at the end, and both were so different. I knew he wasn't going to rehash the same setlist. He never will, because he has a blast doing this for us. I love it (feelin nothin.feelin gets me down down down)

I saw Matchbox 20 live years ago and have always been a huge fan of Rob, this song hits me so different............... much more personal. I don't want to be here now! .... but I can't leave my beautiful daughter. But maybe she would be better off :(
I'm so glad Rob decided to do solo work really, it's absolute MAGIC. Was never really a fan of Matchbox Twenty (liked maybe 1 or 2 songs here and there) which is perfectly fine cause it just wasn't my style of music but I feel Rob as a soloist is one of the VERY rare acts that transcends all boundaries in music where anyone can just listen no matter what age, decade, or genre preference and really just enjoy the music

Let me put it this way, MB20 produced keeping in mind their rock audience, what'll sell, and what'll remain consistent with their essence/sound as an entity. But his solo stuff comes from his SOUL and is meant to be the purest expression of himself. His solo work has only his name on it so he just creates whatever his true heart really wants to put out there without mind to anything else. If his solo music was no different than the stuff he released thru his band then there wouldn't have been a reason to put mb20 on hold to pursue it in the first place.

I guess I dont know what to say at this moment in time. I'm watching day by day as my mom slowly dies and its heartbreaking. There was a brief moment in the hospital tonight where she was coherent. I asked her what she wanted and she said Rob then cried. I played Smooth, and for a full minute she watched the video and moved to the rhythm of the song. Then the thrashing continued. For that brief moment you kept her calm. You boys were the last concert she attended as planned. You may not realize how you got her through, but you did. So, many years ago, I saw Rob Thomas, my husband stumbled on this song played tonight and it brought tears to his eyes... this song was performed at the cusp of COVID lockdowns. Well, I remember his songs prior to getting on fire for Jesus Christ. Well I heard it for the first time tonight and heard "MARK." I knew that his wife had an an autoimmune disease years ago when they got married but here he is singing that even she can't help him now that he must make that decision and draw the line in the sand... Well we the remnant know exactly what he was saying that only JESUS could help him even if he did not understand the Holy Spirit was prompting those to consider their wives/husbands, family friends could not help them with not taking the MOB or taking it? His lyrics said maybe we stay here and we could wade it out..... in the lockdowns... Sad song he sings about ITS GOING TO LEAVE A MARK!!! And then he signs about his wife "EVEN YOU CANT HELP ME NOW".. NO JESUS COULD HAVE... but we know he serves his Master Satan and promotes Lg..b T Q ceremonies. .. could have been and took a stand for Jesus but song with lyrics in comment section. THEY are programmed and told you about the MARK OF THE BEAST coming in FY19 did you listen and hear JESUS say no swab and no Mark ever. Your soul and where it would spend eternity with Satan or Jesus.. Satan the was the chief Musician before he fell from Heaven.

I live in the country where the neighbors cows graze on our land, when Im outside playing this music on a big bluetooth speaker, they gather around the porch, & only leave when the music stops, shows the amazing effect music holds for all walks of life. I used to have a cat that would come and sit right by the speaker in my house when I would play certain songs....always the same songs. It makes me wonder what it is about a song that an animal might like or dislike....they don't understand the lyrics, so can they feel the emotion conveyed in the song or the emotion of the person they are around who's listening to the song, or is the sound just pleasant to their ears? Also, Rob's music did and and still does have a profound effect on me...the music, the lyrics, his voice...he reaches into your soul. Unwell is probably my favorite but it's really hard to pick just one favorite. But if I had to that's the one.
I know what you mean. His music has been my therapy for over 20 years. When ‘Unwell’ and ‘Bent’ came out I felt seen and heard and understood. He definitely gets it.

I'm so glad Rob decided to do solo work really, it's absolute MAGIC. Was never really a fan of Matchbox Twenty (liked maybe 1 or 2 songs here and there) which is perfectly fine cause it just wasn't my style of music but I feel Rob as a soloist is one of the VERY rare acts that transcends all boundaries in music where anyone can just listen no matter what age, decade, or genre preference and really just enjoy the music

@@tammygilpin2519 I'm aware. All I said was i didn't appreciate the band's sound/genre. He took a different route stylistically with his solo work that he did with the band which makes sense. Let me put it this way, MB20 produced keeping in mind their rock audience, what'll sell, and what'll remain consistent with their essence/sound as an entity. But his solo stuff comes from his SOUL and is meant to be the purest expression of himself. His solo work has only his name on it so he just creates whatever his true heart really wants to put out there without mind to anything else. If his solo music was no different than the stuff he released thru his band then there wouldn't have been a reason to put mb20 on hold to pursue it in the first place.

I guess I dont know what to say at this moment in time. I'm watching day by day as my mom slowly dies and its heartbreaking. There was a brief moment in the hospital tonight where she was coherent. I asked her what she wanted and she said Rob then cried. I played Smooth, and for a full minute she watched the video and moved to the rhythm of the song. Then the thrashing continued. For that brief moment you kept her calm. You boys were the last concert she attended as planned. You may not realize how you got her through, but you did. Thank you for being there in that moment of need. She loves you and always has.
