This song I feel was sent to me. I was married to the most remarkable man for 27 years and then he passed. I never found someone to take his place that was 17 years ago. Now I am dealing with breast cancer and preparing for surgery in January. This song .... these are the words he would be saying to me..... if he were here. I just love this song, it fills me with hope that my surgery will be successful and I will have more time here on earth with 2 great grand children on the way in 2016, I now have 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, he lived long enough to be here when the first 2 grand daughters were born. This song makes me feel like he is telling me that I will survive this and that I should hold on forever to my memories of him, but to keep going strong for our family.

My mother and father were married for 52 years. As a child of the 40s/50s, my father was very particular about his choice of music. He seen Rob sing this on a show and immediately liked it. My brother is in a local Dayton, Ohio band and my dad suggested he sing this in his set. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer and for 2 years fought a good fight. My brother learned this song and dedicated it to him. On June 23, 2016 at 11:40pm in my mothers living room my father laid in a hospital bed fighting for his life. The last couple days were a painful struggle. Everything was quite with my whole family gathered round. My brother started playing this song, Robs song. And just like that, he went, quietly. There was no more pain or suffering. I have the words "Hold on Forever " tattooed on my arm in honor of that night and I hope that one day I can not only show Rob in person, but also thank him.

I have not had the courage to write this before, I do love Rob Thomas' music. This song holds a special place in my heart, this video in particular. My son died on Jan. 28th, 2015 he was such a wonderful young man. The male in this video, other than Rob Thomas, looks almost identical. Many of his mannerisms are like Tim's. I hope they never take this video down, I come watch it when I miss my son and want to see him one more time. . . I am holding on forever.

My son died on Jan. 28th, 2015 he was such a wonderful young man. The male in this video, other than Rob Thomas, looks almost identical. Many of his mannerisms are like Tim's. I hope they never take this video down, I come watch it when I miss my son and want to see him one more time. . . I am holding on forever.
I can't wait to see and and hear his New album. I wish he did more music. And did more music with Matchbox 20. Such a great writer and singer, he truly is an artist. Keep up the good work and music Mr. Rob Thomas.
