Hi Will, single handed boating try this.
When leaving a mooring and you want the front of the boat to swing out without pushing it out from the bank.
Untie bow line and leave stern rope moored up.
Put engine into reverse, tick over normally. The Bow will move out. Engine into neutral, untie stern rope. 👍🏼😎 works for me.

Another fantastic vlog. So many folks think the Fens are not the most beautiful place, especially in the Winter. You vlog shown that they are completely wrong!
The engineering behind keeping them dry is incredible. That rich black peat soil is the best in the world and will grow absolutely anything.
That derelict house is typical of so many that have started to lean, because draining the land has caused it to shrink. So houses by the rivers and ‘drains’ start to fall over, over time.
You may remember I mentioned a chap called Alan Bloom, who reclaimed Priory Farm, Burwell, during the war, beside Burwell Lode and against Wicken Fen. He eventually settled t a place called Bressingham, which is on the water shead between the Little Ouse and the River Waveney. He stated his Gardening empire, Bloom’s Nurseries, Bressingham Gardens and Bressingham Steam railways there.

When a place looks beautiful even with overcast en leafless trees, it is just that. Even with rain! Then it is an amazing place and you'd never want to leave.

nice little cruise , down norfolk some people call fibreglass boats , tupperware tubs lol , we always prefer wild mooring when we go down to norfolk , more peaceful , but it's a rarity these days to find a spot that does'nt say , Private Mooring Keep Out .

magix music maker is awesome for stuff like this, ive made one up on my own channel if you ever want to use it, feel free, i made it using magix music maker and used those voices in my track, love the video, ive often wondered about boating on that stretch of water at brandon, leaves you open to go and explore the whole of thetford forest on foot which is just beautiful
Magix can be glitchy but I've spent a ton on loops and instruments so I'm reluctant to find another. I can spend hours on a tune then it just crashes. You're better off saving every few minutes of work. Send me a link.

I wouldn't be without it. It's abit of a pain to fill up with a bowl but it uses very little power. Give it a go ripper.

Always tricky wild mooring as you don’t know what your stepping of onto sometimes, my X always managed to find out the hard way 😂😂😂 once she just disappeared and when she came back up she was a drowned, covered in black mud rat 😂😂😂😂😂, I did incidentally tell her to wait till I put the gangplank out but hay ho! Twisted ankles and other injuries can abound. Have not been down there in ages, amazing to see how much more degraded that old house is, must go down and do some photo’s of it, with the right sky that would make a great black & white photo. Remember the first time I went down there nearly had a coronary when what I thought was an eagle at the time but now know was a red kite flew over my head a few feet up that had me ducking down and squeaking, they are quite big when up that close, 6 foot wingspan.
That barn/house is amazing for pictures. People are living there so I'm sure it's being looked at. Some great old timber in there. This is my favourite river. So peaceful. Cheers buddy. Thanks for the funny story. 😉😉

Great Vlog loved the hose pipe at the start, the rubber duck and swan boat looked good. My other half had the typical female dirty laugh as you left the mooring after you had dinner when the front of you boat was struggling to leave the bank, she expected you to say the front end was being sucked off by the bank ! Typical perverted female mind, ( I had to google what she meant ) . Take care stay safe

The reason you can't get away from the bank is the earths magnetic pull if you boat was plastic it would be fine, also y are your video called narrow boat wil, is your boat called wil
