    I completely forgot there’s locks
    on the fridges. Our son with Autism used to constantly climb in them or leave them
    wide open all night so we would lock them at night. We don’t use them anymore but they’re super stuck on there. You’ll notice the two new fridge/freezers don’t have any locks because we no longer need them.

    I'd like to expand my pantry storage into the garage like you've done. There are only 4 of us living in our home, but I keep my 6 year old great-niece during the week while her daddy is working. Her snacks are all within her reach in the main part of the kitchen because our pantry scares her. (It's also our laundry room and the drier "growls" at her so she avoids it like the plague.). I have our grocery list written on the refrigerator door with a dry erase marker and she's learned how to write "ice cream sandwiches" and "toys" every single week. She signs her name so we'll know they're for her. 🤣 My 22 year old son is autistic and will write very specific lists for what he's wanting. For example, "2 cups of all purpose flour, 2 eggs, 1 Tbsp cocoa" etc. He likes baking so he basically writes the recipe on the list.

And then start to peel with either you finger nail or something that will not scratch. I have been doing it for years and you would never notice that the stickers or sales sticker tag was there. Also have white rubbing alcohol to take the excess off. After peeling or pulling the sticker or sales sticker off. A quick and fast dyi.

    Did you have to add more electrical power to the garage to accommodate the extra refrigerators? Also, do you have to be mindful of the kind of food items you keep in the garage, due to changing weather? For example, my garage isn’t the best insulated, so the changes from extreme heat in summer to super cold in winter might affect the food (i.e. freeze, mold, explode 😂 etc). If your shelves can take more weight you can get little stands that make a shelf within a shelf. This is good for cans especially which arent filling the height of the shelf but you don't want to stack 4 high. It's also useful for having easier access to more varieties instead of having things behind each other where they can't be seen.

    To easily get rid of stickers…pull off as much of the shiny bit as you can, then apply a good amount of furniture polish, mr sheen or any cheap brand works the same. Leave it to work in for a while. The take some kitchen paper, dry dishcloth or anything similar and rub…if it stops coming off easily, add more polish and repeat. Then you can wash it with a soapy cloth or whatever you usually clean your surfaces with. It’s good for when a gift has the price label and it doesn’t peel off easily too.

      @@lovely4079 it’s not all that excessive when she keeps stocked up on certain foods and we don’t know how it takes her family to go through the other foods she also makes a snack board/snackery board almost daily,meal plans for Monday-Sunday every single week,needs to keep stocked on certain foods for all the kids plus her and her husband. She needs to make sure that they don’t run out of food they are a family of 14 eatting all that food plus meal recipes get doubled or tripled up for larger families. And to one person she said it would take about 2 weeks to go through all that food she didn’t go shopping weekly. Meaning they go through alot of that food faster than expected.

    I would love to see a video on your experience w having an autistic child. My older son (he will be 5 this Sept) was diagnosed w severe autism however his dr changed his status to mild once he started to interact w him. I did not even know what the proper diagnoses was until I called the dr's office w a question & they pulled his chart. They just nonchalantly said he has severe autism. I almost dropped the phone. My younger son who is 3 also shows signs of autism but hasn't been properly diagnosed yet. Most days I'm at a loss. My heart hurts so much for them. They're both so sweet & we live in such a cruel world that it terrifies me. They don't understand fear. Any help or suggestions? I would be SO grateful.

    • @Megz1794
      @Megz1794 2 года назад +2

      I don’t see any locks and anyway you don’t need locks on fridges and freezers . Some foods are actually good for kids to have at night time before bedtime like cheese and crackers,fruits,some ice cream a tiny bit of icecream/like one or two bowls of icecream aka stuff that helps kids sleep at night. Kids should also go to sleep on full tummies.

      Those are our older fridges. Bodhi has autism and when he was younger use to climb into the fridges, so we locked them for safety. Luckily he doesn't any more but they are super stuck on! That's why all the new fridges don't have them.
