I don’t know which is sweeter: Patrick holding bodhis hand waiting for the bus, letting him win the “race” to get on or Neveah telling Harlee to swim to her and cheering her on. You are raising the sweetest kiddos and I can only hope mine will grow up to be just as sweet from watching your family 💛💛💛

I have a feeling that James is feeling a little left out since the Alex- Dayshawn bond is getting strong. It seems like he misses the attention he used to get from Alex. Don’t get me wrong I’m really happy about their bond, it’s amazing, and it makes Dayshawn feel more welcomed into the family, but I hope they involve James too. He’s the sweetest 🥺❤️❤️

Oh my goodness! Alicia I am so glad that you are so open about the “kids” dating. My parents never let me out of their sight and when I was 18 I got pregnant. Not blaming it on them of course but I wish I would’ve been able to be open about it so it wouldn’t have been in secret and without anyones input. The NYC vacation was awesome!! 🤩 bless you guys

My parents never had a talk with me about birds and bees. I was boy crazy and really wanted my own baby. I tried for a baby when I was 16. Finally got pregnant and had my first baby at 19, he was born with no bladder an kidney issues and didn’t live long after birth that was 2010. Then had 2 miscarriages after that. Never knew the dad to those 3. Finally got pregnant again and had another in 2012. Not proud of myself I was just trying to give my parents a grandchild because I thought thats what you were suppose to do. But my dad passed in 2008 before my 1st baby and my mom in 2012 a month before my child was born so neither parent got to meet their grandkid.

My husband and I allow our 11 & 12 year old girls “date” for the exact same reason as you! We have discussed the birds and the bees with them and I allow my girls to ask me any questions about anything at any time without shaming them for asking or saying anything rude about it to them so they feel comfortable coming to me about anything.

My parents were always "iffy" about it all , depended if they liked the guy or not but I always had so many male friends & we always hung around in groups together boys & girls so I could have easily slid one by if some big mouth friends werent around maybe lol. But I never really tried to have them around my house even as I got older & because I didnt want them in my personal business like that. Once I got my own apartment & before that when I had roommates I would. But I did (me & a friend actually) skip school one day at 16 & went to Planned Parenthood & got on birthcontrol. We had to do a little fibbing on the forms but we both got it & were 2 of the only girls in our group(s) that didnt get pregnant in high school. Wanna say maybe 3 of our friends even had 2 kids by the time we all graduated. My dad was very strict as he was a Navy brat & had been in the military hisself also & my mom was (still is) too da*n nosey so all that did was teach me at an early age to learn to be sneaky

Hi there. I am a South African mom of two who recently discovered your channel
I hope to become a foster mom one day soon and your family but especially you have motivated me to not only take the leap but be a better mom to my current two. I wake up earlier and have more of a routine. Today I took my clothes to a laundromat and it was easier for me to do that then try get it dry on the line in our rainy wet weather in winter. It literally took me 45 minutes at the most. I wake up early and prep breakfast lunch and supper by the time the children wake up. My household seems less stressed and I feel i get so much more done. Thank you for your videos. It is much much much appreciated. ❤️

I wouldnt say I didnt want them to because thats when its "fun". Thats the ages a lot of good memories are made & you start thinking of what you want for yourself in life & what you dont want. My mom used to always give me the "wait until you're older" or "as soon as you turn 18. . ." Told her then & I still agree you need to get all that out of your system at an early age then when you turn 18 & become an adult you arent out being irresponsible. I used to skip school & sneak out etc etc but I also snuck to the clinic when I was supposed to be at school & got myself on bc. By the time I turned 21 I was pretty much finished with drinking, it wasnt really all that fun anymore once I turned 21 especially when I had to be at work and/or class in the mornings, rent to pay etc etc. Of course things are very different for kids nowdays, they pretty much live life through a screen/on apps. We were in random parking lots meeting up trying to find out where everyone was going- what club or party at someones parents lake house or friends older sibling that had their own house already & wasnt home etc etc. This was mid-late 90s, the main clubs we went to (supposed to be 18 to get in on college nights & we were going at 16-17) are all closed now. Thurs, Fridays & Saturdays during the school year I'll have to pass some of those same parking lots where we'd have it packed & its completely empty, just dead. I'll see my son when he's off work on a friday evening (early 20s) & hes got a phone or tablet or something in his face or some friends with teenaged kids & its pretty much the same. Its just sad to see, teenaged years we definately would have been out somewhere anywhere, getting drunk at the lake or getting ready to go meet up with everyone somewhere until it got later & everyone started to head to the club. Its so strange, there's no way in h**l we would have just been sitting on a couch scrolling

Alicia, heads up: Plastic bags have been completely banned here in New Jersey effective May 5th 2022 (from grocery stores/restaurants/convenience stores/any retail whatsoever) so when you come visit Ocean City, make sure you pack trash bags for dirty clothes/shoes/wet towels/etc and bring reusable shopping bags if you’re planning to food shop to stock your kitchen for wherever you’re staying. Maybe give a couple to each kid for souvenirs/prizes they win on the boardwalk. I know plenty of people who have come to visit and are shell shocked when they get to checkout and have nothing to carry their stuff in! Like so she sees this, guys!

How y’all raise your kids with the whole boy/girl friend situations…..I’m the same way. I want my girls to know that they can come to me about ANYTHING. I do allow them to date as well. My girls are 18 and 16. They’re very intelligent. They know what’s allowed, and what’s NOT allowed. They always keep me in their loop. They always keep me posted, and they always tell me everything that they’re going through. I love knowing that my kids can trust me and know that I’ll have their backs no matter what. But they also know that if they go to jail, they get no bail! My girls are really good kids. Couldn’t be prouder!!!! Y’all just keep up the great work!!! I just recently came upon these videos, and have been hooked ever since. LOL You also help me to be a better mom!!!! Thank you!!!!

I agree with you, but I'm from the other end of parenting! My grandparents were always strict with me, so i became sneaky because I felt like I couldn't be honest with them! I had a boyfriend and I had all of these real feelings I couldn't share with them and it was awful! It all worked out for me though because we're engaged adults now, but man all them being strict taught me was how to get away with things! I think being open with your kids is AMAZING!

I am a recent viewer and am loving your videos. I wish I had the energy you do; you get more done in an hour than I do during a day!
The thing I don't understand is why you and your husband do EVERYTHING. Children need to learn responsibility, and from an early age should have age appropriate chores. They're all of an age that they can help with their clothes, empty a wastebasket, or lug water bottles to the garage! They're all part of a family, and should help do little things. It actually helps build their self esteem and gives them a feeling of being part of an unit.
If you do everything for them, they will struggle when they go off to college, or get out in their own. Their future partners will definitely not enjoy them being helpless!!
I love your parenting style. My parents were VERY strict with us, but were wise in certain areas. When we expressed curiosity about their highballs or beer, they let us taste them by taking a sip. It took the curiosity factor out of it and we never snuck around to experiment. Two out of we three, are still non-drinkers in our sixties!

TIP: The trick is to book a hotel with washer and dryer and to wash a load every night after you are back to the hotel everyday and then you can pack up clean clothes to bring home. place the dirty night clothes into a trash bag the morning you leave and that way the dirty, smelly clothes are not stinking up the clean, washed clothes.

I LOVE your RUclips channel; therefore, I am not trying to preach but I was a lifeguard growing up so I strongly suggest making sure Harlee & Bohdi can swim without wings, etc. Harlee is not a swimmer in this video. Someone usually leaves the pool gate open accidentally. The 3 most important things for beginner swimmers are FLOATING ON YOUR BACK without assistance which is head back and arms out to the side. People naturally want to put their chin to their chest but it inhibits floating. People have survived days in the water just knowing how to float on their back. The second most important item is learning to OPEN YOUR EYES UNDERWATER! As a lifeguard, I would throw a roll of new pennies in the pool (of course, the kids can keep the change). The reason this is so important is because people that do not open their eyes underwater often swim further downward than upward. You must be able to see where you are going! #3: BLOW BUBBLES UNERWATER. People intuitively want to breathe/inhale instead of blowing outward. These 3 tips alone SAVE LIVES!

OMG I agree about your parenting Theory. I have three and they have been always honest. Even when they thought they did something wrong or bad they always tell us. Our theory no person is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and you can always talk to us about it. My son has had the same girlfriend since 12 too. They are going strong as ever. Now he is almost 18. I always believe that your kids should tell you what's going on with them. I never did that with my parents. My friends or my older sister helped with everything. My mom was raised that you don't talk about things. Whether it was female stuff, sex, dating or just anything. I never wanted to be that way with my kids. I totally agree with being open to everything and anything. You guys are amazing.

If you leave the top of the nest boxes up all the time (I noticed you left it up when you left the enclosure), that might be why they're not laying there--chickens like to feel safe and secure while they're laying, and it probably feels safer under the hen house. Along with covering the boxes, you could try putting fake eggs or even golf balls in the nest boxes to show them where to lay.

High five for Bodhi that's a big step for him. Deshawn just doing his thing, being a teen. Alex is really funny & James is my mood in the morning. seems like James might need some attention so he feels valued seems like he takes on a lot of stress or he's not himself right now he's not really showed his interest in becoming a chef, he might want to explore that in one of the videos.

@@DoughertyDozen I have PTSD & depression myself I was diagnosed a couple years ago, I know there could be some triggers or somethings that may remind him of traumas. James is a sweet kid & I want him to explore his creativity in cooking or whether he wants to share with us, he seems to be going through a lot & may need a support team because PTSD is hard & the world can seem so loud at times. I deal with trolls on the internet myself & it hurts & hits a lot harder when you have PTSD. I miss funny James unboxing the mail, he was just as excited with the first muffin pan as he was the 8 other ones he unboxed, his personality will make him a very successful person in his career or job. I'm very sorry James went through some traumatic stuff early in life but I know he'll get through it. it takes time.
