Main Changes made:
using the ikea EKET series instead of ikea SEKTION
frame is freestanding from the wall
Queen size bed (routed air hoses under the bed)

this is such a neat build for small room with extra storage! how's the small box you use as a step up to the bed holding up? will it break with every day use?
What cabinets did u use and what size cabinets are they also what size mattress did u use I want to do a kings mattress

Looks superb. But should make one for couples as well... As it is now, the one near the wall would have a hard time coming out in the middle of the night...

Do you know if you can possibly use the Malm dresses as a base for the bed instead of the bookcases?
Is it partner proof?
I like the idea very much. I will probably borrow some ideas. However I would make a rim (a distance between matrace and edge) much shorter so partner can bend and lie on soft and not cold material. ;)

Just small angle brackets and screws to keep them from falling over

It was fairly expensive by the use of a sleep number mattress. For the frame alone, I’d estimate it at around $650
What’s the height of the bed
Top of the frame is 27.5” and top of the mattress is 37”

Rearrange it for your space available! I think the whole point of modularity is to make it custom to what space you have, no?
Put your mattress on the shelving units and get 2-drawer night stands vs 3-drawer dresser. This is nice, but there are more efficient ways to make a hacked IKEA bed...planning and imagination.
