Of course they don't want to pay them it's texas. Got to save that money so they can build outrageous football stadiums. Of course why have teachers there anyway. They don't want them to really teach them anything anyways.
No, this is hisd, a very large district that was taken over by the state of Texas for consistent student failures over many years. Its in an older area of Houston so they're not building much of anything. I'd wager that teachers are not really willing to work here because the kids are more unruly (I went to Elsik high school, so I know what it's like there) my guess is that the administration's department is struggling to find teachers and this is what they have to do to get teachers because they know that the jobs that these teachers left are already filled, so they're out of options.
@@HOLDFASTHOUNDthis isn't an option though. Lying to someone about what the job will be and the salary is a terrible way to get dedicated people to come to your district.
@@KirschSalvator I think it may just show how desperate they are though. There's at least 3 people now with the same accusation. Houston/greater Houston is expanding so alot of Hisd teachers now have leverage, where 15 years ago that wasn't the case.
remember these teachers running the schools and making sure they were closed down for 2 years while getting raises and not working with the kids, don't ever forget what they chose
HISD is a mess FROM TOP TO BOTTOM and these teachers DO NOT deserve to be paid that much until they can PROVE that they can do better for our students. There's a reason why the state took over! Clean house and if they don't like the pay THEY CAN LEAVE.
Maybe there needs to be better parenting and ownership of responsibility from the parents…you know? Just step up and be present and a role model for your kids…teach them values. Too much to ask for much of that community, I’m guessing but go ahead and blame the teachers.

And prisons don't forget prisons
Glad I didn’t switch up
LAWSUIT!
Welcome to the world of Mike Miles.
People that don't have real job skills are in trouble because the gravy train ride is over. People have had enough of the nonsense.
Yes, and there are several teacher vacancies. They are all liars miles is a liar!
I feel like you would be better off not attending school if HISD is your only option
Damn teachers are making really good money. Time to have a talk with my graduation daughter. 💰

It’s still wrong to not honor ANYTHING in writing!

It sounds like they left good schools to come to HISD. Money was a factor.
