I agree leoimvideo..I think Criss had the perfect voice for this song..Although Paul didn't do too bad of a job..Peter has more of a brassy tone and more depth(like you said)..I always liked this song a lot.

The problem was he couldn't write a song worth a damn. He was lucky he had Stan Penridge for so long but Stan never got close to topping Beth. I don't know if there was a $$ cost for working with them, but I always thought with his voice if he'd hooked up with some of the 80's writers a lot of the hard rock bands (including Kiss) were working with he might have done quite well if he'd managed to record a decent break through single.

My first concert .. Kiss, 1977 at Madison Square Garden on their Destroyer/Rock and Roll Over Tour..one of 3 sold out shows. I was 10 years old...and they were 'The Hottest Band in the Land' at that time..awww-ehhh... good grief,.. I miss the 70's and 80's! 💗
