I just don't see how Melo helps the Cavs. Kevin Love is averaging 20 and 11 rn. Melo is averaging similar numbers in scoring and he needs the ball more to do that. The last thing the Cavs need is 3 ball dominant players in Lebron, Kyrie, and Melo. The Cavs have a good team they need to suck it up and play hard. If anything they need some more unselfish bench players

All the cavs need is Lebron, Kylie, Melo and keep Love. Add a 1 or 2 defensive guys like a tony Allen or something and you are back in the mix.
I would do it, now I know Melo is a little older but let's be real the CAVS aren't a young rebuilding team, they're one of the oldest teams in the league and they're in a position where Kevin Love's body is breaking down at a similar rate to Melo's even though he's younger. I believe Melo can do Kevin Love's job only better, he can roughly hit the same amount of open spot up shots of Lebron's assists, he can do around the same job on defense, the only difference is you can give Melo the ball and he can isolate and put up 25ppg. The only slight advantage of having Love is on the boards but even then if you tell Melo to rebound I believe he can average 7-10 rebounds per game. I would do the deal for sure.

For me If they get Melo they have a bigger chance to beat the warriors if they meet up in the finals this june, but even if they don't get melo they could still beat the warriors they just have to play defense, attack the basket more, and locked them up in the 3 point line which the warriors are really good at. If the Cavs played more team basketball and will have trust on each other it's enough to beat the warriors in a close game and in the finals series.
