They’re called Randy because they are from a town called Randers in Denmark.

Hi! Great you found them a real treat for Hard Rock and Heavy Metal fans. They are from my home town in DENMARK! So not from Sweden, but anyway ThanX for this! By the way it's a 3 piece band, and they NEVER put out any albums in the 80's only this one single release. The rest thats put out is "only" demo tracks found from old taps, and released for Vinyl and digital

From what I can gleam from the interwebs Randy is a Danish metal band that came and went in the blink of an eye. Changed their name to Slip 'N Slide but can not find any info about that band. You try looking up Slip 'N Slide and see what hits you get. It's indeed a fun piece of plastic that if you get wet you slide really far on it.
    Band Members:
Brian Andersen Guitars (1981-1982), Bass (1982-1993)
Jørgen Viftrup Hou Guitars, Vocals (1981-1993)
    Søren Højstrøm Drums (1987-1993)
    Past
    Jim B. Jensen Bass (1981-1982)
    Torben Pape Drums (1981-1987)
    Jan Buller Guitars (1981-1982)
Well that's about all I could find. A shame as they sound great.

Great track. Borrowed Time from Michigan used to cover this one live back in the early 2010's. I'd recommend them to you but I don't think they're on Spotify.

Love this song, have seen it listed elsewhere as 'The Beast'. Very much reminds me of the theme to Buffy the Vampire Slayer so wonder if it might have influenced that. All I know about the band is (according to a fan page) they were formed in Randers, Denmark in 1981. There's a video of them playing in '93 so they might have been around a while. The Devil Takes the High Road ep by Traitors Gate is another gem from about the same time if you haven't heard it!

You're bringing some excitement back to music. Doing good work my friend, people who didn't stand a few feet from dimebag playing walk grinning at you don't have a clue. Early vulgar tour in the newport in columbus ohio, little did I know he would be taken from us in a club I lived in as a youngster. The infamous hole alrosa villa. No point in music if you don't feel it.

And to your question they are all still alive and in their 60's, they havn't played toghter in RANDY since the mid 90's, where they split up. But are still rockin in other bands.

That was an OK jam for me - high note and all! The sound is very "cavernous" (and very 80's)...like it was recorded in a multi-stall bathroom at a sports arena. The humanoid creature on the cover is the spitting image of a stoner guy I went to a high school with - if his name happened to be Randy I would seriously wonder if he was the inspiration for the art and the band name....or WAS he, but MIKE was not deemed marketable??? 😹

I discovered this song when the austrian band VENATOR covered it live during their 2024 tour. Great stuff !
There is an other band called RANDY, punk rock from the North of Sweden, I made the confusion between both bands for a while.
