The wingflex was outstanding
That’s pretty impressive. Looks like the ailerons were almost going full travel in either direction. Good workout for whichever pilot was flying. Nice video.
Those 747 wings are an engineering marvel. The flex they have is insane. Great landing too
Very nicely done man!
Thanks! :)
Thank you! :)
Seeing the engines wiggle, nice!
sanderthalen I know right! I also like the spool ups. :D
Few people realize why the engines wiggle like that. Most loads in turbulent conditions are through the vertical axis of the jet- minor up and downdrafts. Since a large part of the mass of the engine is spinning, gyroscopic precession cause the load to be manifested 90 degrees in the direction of rotation. If the engine were shut down it would bounce up and down, since it's rotating it wiggles side to side.
Speaking of which, it reminds me of Jason Derulo's Wiggle.
It’s called wing flex!
Looks as if made of rubber. I've had the bejeeeezus scared out of me on dozens of airliners in my youth, A miracle to have normal blood pressure at age 63
PERFECT LANDING!!
I had a scary ride in amsterdam once, !,, but thats a different story.
pracht landing.moet je die 747 van ATLAS zien die op EELDE airpoort lande.in 4K.gaaf.
Gaaf.! hoor..
cupcakes
omg i am so scared : ( will never ever fly with KLM
Sandi Dudek Haha don't be. KLM is one of the safest airlines in the world and has great services onboard and everywhere else. And don't worry about the turbulence, it's just turbulence. ^^
I have fear of flying and after watching this clip had a panic attack. Turbulence makes me feel that the plane is going to crash. How can I overcome the fear of flying?
@@sandidudek3870 There's really no need to be scared! So many people fly each day, and with professional pilots up front, don't you worry! Perhaps they even enjoy a challenge like this, you're not in danger!
If I fly ... I would definitely die : (
@@sandidudek3870 No you won't! Why don't you look if there are any courses around where you live to get rid of the fear? Flying is seriously fun,
and don't forget all the beautiful views you can see while you travel!
2:49 My balls when I stand in front of a mirror after a shower open-legged and moving side to side...
Well thanks for putting the image in my head 💀
Not needed dude
And still a smooth landing!
While klm is a bad airliner in that country
I have perverted pleasure watching turbulence, knowing my traveling days are over. And always happy end! Thanks!
That was a workout for the pilot.
Dez Rosswess Haha it sure was, especially on short final. Thanks for watching ^_^
The pilot played some good ball! Excellent touch down as well :)

Fun to watch millions of dollars in engineering work subtlety wiggle all the way to the ground 🤣🤣🤣
I haven't flown since before 9/11 . I hate it! And when I see those engines look like they are dangling on the wings (I know they are designed to do that) with both moving that much, I'm in no rush to get back in the air!! If I was meant to fly, I would have been born with wings...
I'm surprised the engines didn't fall off
and thats where youre dumb in making statements like that
sangat berkabut..
salam indonesia..🇮🇩🇮🇩🙏
KLM Asia? Yes
Cool landing. Props to the cameraman and pilot. Was very cool.
Wow, that looked like fun... every flight on the 747 seems to be enjoyable!
Subhaanallah glory be to Allah who created the brain that created the aircraft subhaanallah tery quadrat ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Haha wing go flappy flappy
Such a beautiful landing by the queen of the skies . she's simply the best &always will be.Christine Palmer ,Gold Coast, Australia.
Pretty windy day.Impressive
Great Video i Love this Aircraft
I just realized the slats fold down instead of into the wing.
That's because they are not really slats, they are Kruger Flaps. Kruger Flaps fold down of the leading edge.
I haven’t flown since 1990 watching your videos makes me miss it looks so cool.
That is not any unusual turbulence. I have traveled the equivalent of a couple of times around the planet, and this kind of approach would not have been all that uncommon.
Correct. This isn't as bad as what I experienced a few years back. But this was quite bumpy, but my phone automatically smoothens the camera movement, so you can't really see it.
That was turbulence?
It was an unstable turned stable approach into the airport, if you watch closely you'll see what I mean.
Turbulent and a nice crosswind, nice vid
Very nice video. Headed there in August. Subscribed
For me, KLM pilots are the best
I love 747s
Very nice. What a smooth landing!

Poetry in motion !
Excellent flying...
Perfect landing..
Good Onya K.L.M.
Wo war die Turbulenz ??? wackeldene Triebwerke ist nix besonderes
That indicates that there's turbulence...
excelent
Nice Job by the pilots
Excellent! Thanks for sharing.
Passengers earned their moneys worth on that one lol
Great video!!
TheFejf Thanks ^_^
cool video
Sweet Landing
Great video!
Great Video
Awesome :)
The aircraft was nammed Johannesburg.
Félix Maltchinski Indeed and she's the youngest 747 in the fleet. Thanks for watching. ^_^
Johannesbourg is served by KLM and KLM is using the Boeing triple 7 to Johannesburg and not the Boeing 747-400.
Félix Maltchinski That's true, but I think in the past they did send their 747's down to Jo'burg.
Maybe they did but I have no idea about that. But the last 747 to be retired from the KLM fleet was nammed Freetown PH-BFN wich means the aircraft had the African name. So far there is 4 planes with African names in the KLM fleet.
Félix Maltchinski The last one was PH-BFF. BFN, Nairobi, is still active. There are 2 left with African names out of 3.
4:28 did she say namaskar?
She said "Namens KLM", which means on "behalf of KLM".
KTM is a good airline. Good motorcycles too!
Just don't go to Tenerife, Canary Islands, with a hot tempered pilot.. . . .
Amazing Video, i ❤ 747👍👍👍
bell video! 🙂
It’s nice to see the wing shake as much as that in the new planes it dont
That's true, though on the newer planes you see the engines shake "violently."
Ro-Jean oh I didn’t knoe
Ro-Jean do you still do vids because I’m subbing to you
@@jackyboy0242 Lol I honestly only upload when I feel like it or when I think made good videos...which hasn't been the case for months now 😅
Ro-Jean where you get these clips or you actually going on them
No engine burning no fun
That's quite a pessimistic response 🤨
Como sempre.....lindo pouso.
Beautiful👍
Skills, Skills, terrific skills! Well done crew
Is this FS2020… 👍🏻
Haha no it isn't.
what was turbulent about that approach?
If you look closely you'll see the engines shake more violently than normal, the spool up is louder and more common than normal and the wing flexing because of turbulence.
No big deal. Any bone head can fly an airplane. Commerical aircraft are engineering marvels and almost fly themselves. Automation and AI will soon replace pilots.
Why have you left school so early?
@@wernertutsch8361 wdym ?
@@Vilhozi Had you been a bit longer in school.....you would know that flying is NOT an easy thing to do.....
@@wernertutsch8361 yep thats true
Buttered it in the end...
