Just bought today. After being a mostly entry level guy I plumped for this solid midranger this time round, went for 1TB drive so it came in at £760 at Argos. So far so good. Sound quality in particular is a noticable improvement on my last laptop

Forgot to add, while not a showstopper, the keyboard surround had a noticeable hump above the function keys as well as below the lower row.

1- yes, when watching movies, you can get a bit more than 4 hours
2- yes, pretty decent display but that tall aspect ratio means you will get more black borders when you watch movies .. like I show in my video and compare it with a traditional wide screen laptop

what do you think of this model and the samsung galaxy book 3 you have reviewed before? which one is a better bargain?
Both offer variety as the Samsung Galaxybook looks amazing and is lighter in comparison whereas the Lenovo laptop has more power and bigger battery. So it really is up to you on which features you’d like to give preference to! Personally, I’d always choose more power 😊
Great review. I am thinking of getting this laptop, you didn't mention what the fan noise is like, I have a lenovo yoga and the fan is noisy and is on for about 90% of the time, even when the laptop is idle.! :( Is the fan quieter on this laptop? Thank you.
It is pretty quiet .. you hear it a bit if you push it .. but for most day to day office tasks, it is pretty quiet!

Build quality appears excellent but the one i ordered had a noticeable mark on the side of the lid. In addition, the fans run at a fairly loud level even when I had nothing running. Loved the backlit keyboard but it's just too bright and the bleed of light from under the keys was annoying.
Hmm.. mine doesn’t have these issues .. epically loud fan .. but do check and see if it’s the anti-virus which might be using up a lot of resources!

how sturdy would you say this laptop is? im always very concerned about build quality and hinges as my last laptop didnt last 3 years even though i treated it well
Well .. no worries here regarding that .. this one is built solid .. like a tank!! And it is heavy because of that as well!

You need to check the software requirement before purchasing! For resource intensive applications, it’s better to extend your budget as much as possible and get a machine with more power and graphical capability!
I found 8gb RAM version of this laptop on facebook market place. Is it upgradeable RAM or soldered?
@@udarasegar9295 The setup is different in several countries .. here in the UK, there is an extra RAM slot so you can upgrade RAM if needed … but you need to check with Lenovo in your country and see if they have the same setup
Is this the 14 inch laptop would you recommend the 16 inch laptops is it worth the extra price
Size of the laptop totally depends on your use case. Smaller one is really good if you move your laptop around or carry it frequently. Whereas bigger sizes will give you more screen and number pad on the keyboard but ya, they are a bit cumbersome to carry around! This laptop version is around 1.8kgs .. so decide on your usage and then buy the one that will better suit your requirement!

Didn’t get a chance to try the Asus laptop .. but I can say that the Lenovo one is really holding very well and with that 16GB RAM configuration, it’s a bargain for the price!
Asus display is not good. Their blacks is not dark black. Rest is good

Nope, the UK version doesn’t have this .. especially the one featured here .. which already has 16GB RAM

They are pretty much the same right .. you just get a touchscreen with better quality with the Yoga!
Is it good for gaming..?
Well casual gaming is fine .. you can play PubG or Fortnite but you know the answer right .. if you what that ultimate gaming experience.. you need to go for high end gaming laptops with more ram and dedicated graphics cards. A budget mid-range laptop simply won’t cut it!
No. You need a laptop with a dedicated gpu. The acer nitro 5 and Lenovo legion/loq are good budget gaming laptops.

They are pretty ok .. for a laptop in this price range!

I haven’t tested the Flex but this one has been holding up really well.. no issue at all even after months of usage!

If you're fast typist/touch typist, you may regret, keys sucks, too slim, no press feedback. other things are great.

He said it was 16 inch screen in the video. I would recommend larger screens, but that is my personal preference.
