@@Mark73 Well not too much crap back then we only had 5 VHF channels and 4 UHF channels in the 60's less in the 50's. I don't remember having any issues finding something good to watch. Don't watch network TV anymore or cable. Just You Tube. Everything just seems to me like woke radical nonsense.😄
They did 2 live shows on Saturday night: first one was by the book, second one was much looser. That classic ‘elephant’ joke was second show. Anyway, on this second show Carol was completely naked under the robe, flashed Tim for all she’s worth, and Tim cracks up!
Probably THE funniest woman in comedy next to Lucile ball, they did it with being crude or talking about their lady bits or hooking up with random guys. Modern female comedians should take notes
A little crass? Yeah. But nobody was offended, got their feelings hurt, needed to make someone bs reason to "cancel" someome and everyone laughed. I really miss when people were looming for the smallest reason to be offended. Bring this comedy back.
@@ImnotassweetasIusedtobe You can see at about 1:05, and again at 1:57, that the "curtains" aren't nearly wide enough to cover the window. They're just ornamental window treatments of the sort that decorators sometimes add to windows that have a pull-down shade or Venetian blinds. Also, since it was a comedy sketch, if there _had_ been real curtains, something would have gone wrong with them.
The drapes are just decorative. She tugs on them to conceal herself as she reaches for the blind, and there isn't _nearly_ enough fabric in those folds to obstruct the entire window.
Aww they cut off the part where Carol gets up off the floor, faces the audience and she is wearing giant comedy boobs that look VERY realistic and she removes them to show the audience that they are fake. THATS why Tim was clapping, she got him and she got him GOOD 😂
Her outfit looks like a flight attendant. And Dick Van Dyke was not a good fit for this show. He didn't do well at all. This sketch made him look creepy and scary 😨.
You have no sense of what makes comedy work. He's supposed to be kind of threatening, to set up the reveal. Then the silly "mannequin" gets her to lower her guard.
@@daveconleyportfolio5192 OK thank you for explaining that to me. I guess the times that I spent actually going to the live Carol Burnett show when I was in college never would have allowed me to figure that out. Silly me.

I haven’t seen this sketch since it originally aired on CBS. It’s amazing that Tim could hold that position without moving.

LMAO at Dick Van Dyke as the peeper😂😂😂
Except for the fact that that was Tim Conway.... 😊👍
@@peterlarsen7779 The first one was Dick Van Dyke. He had regular cameos on the show.
This is how you do physical comedy and get laughs. Bravo to Carol and the cast.
