Chandler has a huge pond with a bunch of Pacu....im sure he would love to take your Gar....maybe do a Colab on delivering and release into his pond 👍......Chandlers wildlife
need 2 screws in each branch or it will move once the birds land on it. Make sure you add a step on the front so they can walk in. They cant jump very well from branch into the hole. Same on the inside. If the hole is too deep the bird cant climb out. It cant flap to get lift as space too small.
Be careful of the screw poking through inside the birdbox by the pond. Really have enjoyed watching the progress of the Aviary. 🦆🐤🐢 Much Love Bless No Less to all of you and your family and friends ❤️ 🙏🏼 😘
Hey a little thing you might want to do with the branches on the nesting boxes are to cut off any sharp pieces of wood on the branches because when they land or maybe they hit their wing on the branch they could cut themselves i learned this with my birds
Your aviary is so beautiful, love all the various plants and pretty birds! The trumpeters make me laugh when they act trapped then they follow you around like a puppy! Too cute!!
I’m sorry I’ve missed out on probably the last year. I remember you talking about starting the aviary🥲 and now I see it’s already done. I’ve always wanted to come to the ranch. I’ve been watching for years now
So glad about the milkweed. It is so necessary for butterflies, it's essential to them. You'll perhaps need to address how you expect to deal with the safety of ducklings and let everyone know that you did not put that first branch up with one screw, so that it might move if a duck lands on it. I'm looking forward to more additions to the aviary, you have gone so slow and steady, not one big splash. It shows great consideration and thought having gone into these decisions.
Hey Michael, not sure if you are referring to the safety of the ducklings in terms of leaving the nest box, but if you are, tree ducks in the wild usually have their nest much higher. These ducklings have evolved to survive falling from very high altitudes. I have seen videos of them jumping over 40 feet from the nest to a not so pretty landing on the forest floor, and then following their mothers call to the water. My biggest concern on this video, was when he only put 1 screw in the center of the ramp steps. If a duck lands anywhere other than the center, it might rotate and scare the duck from trusting the ramp and therefore not using the nest box. Oh yeah, and the screws poking inside the nest box, I would have added a block of wood on the inside to prevent the screw from poking into the nest box.
SO AWESOME! You need to do a video with Kenan in the aviary and then you need to go to his place and see Slinky’s pimped out enclosure with the Universal Rock facade on it now. 🤙🏼
When the ducks do start breeding, your gonna have to be careful of the turtles as they will probably try and eat any ducklings in the pond, particularly the larger turtles
@@vicmullens9556 Nest boxes are for egg incubation, then they leave pretty much after hatching, there a reasonable chance the large turtles with show an unwanted interest in the new ducklings. ruclips.net/video/6JexjBZ1ZJA/видео.html Turtles see ducklings as food.
Maybe a stupid question, but can't you put your Gar inside the fishgallery?? Otherwise you might be able to give it to Paul Cuffaro, he has some massive ponds
Hey Albert, this is a great question. They hatch with very strong claws that allows them to climb the inside of the tree until they reach the entrance hole(or exit in this case). In the wild tho, the inside cavity is uneven and porous, which aids them in the climb.. being that plywood has a relatively smooth surface, I’m thinking he will have to add pieces of tree bark to the inside of the box.
21:47 l did you just unintentionally screwed shut that side door without knowing? hahaha and btw you could easily start growing some vines around that main post so there will be more green around. Lastly, you should give Away that big fish of yours to Chandler! he definitely looking for bigger fish for his pond
The idea of vines on the center pole is a good one, but choose your vine wisely… some vines can grow more than 2 feet per day ( I believed some even 6 feet per day) so it can become a maintenance nightmare, especially if the get to the top and starts growing into the mesh.
Would be cool if you added a butterfly garden somewhere on the ranch or add a few more milkweed to your bird enclosure. Those looked like monarchs and they need lots of help
I feel like the boxes are to deep and once the babies hatch, I feel like they will struggle to get out or be stuck. I think the boxes need to half as deep. Just my thoughts though, I don't want to see you lose any babies.
Blake if you want a vine for the pole that wouldn’t take over, get a monestera and plant it against the pole. It will climb up and grow fruit which the ducks can eat.
Should defo get paint your nest boxs a nice forest green and cover with leaves or foliage to make it feel and look super natural but keep up the dope work
This and that that and this Might be the best thing I've ever heard I'm going to be using this sentence quite a lot now Thank you Blake love your channel
hey blake, ive just gotta question my OCD is killing me why is that pipe still in the pond and floating around and moving everywhere whats it supposed to be used for?
I noticed the torokos are getting used to you and aren't flying away when you get close to them. Atleast the female isn't. Those are some pretty birds. My favorite are those one brown white colorful ducks. What kind are those? ? Those are some gorgeous ducks! ! !
You could just put like a barrier of some sort in the bottom part and still open from the side maybe som type of tarp or just something as simple as a plank just so you give it nest deepness and still be able to access it
Blake you should get into the plant business and sell cuttings from some of these massive plants! They’re already growing and you have to cut them so make some money from it 😂
Wouldn't go with the ramps going from the floor to the box entrance, that would be very appealing to rats. 1/ Makes it easy for them to use the nest box for them self, 2/ Makes it easy for them to raid to box for eggs.
You can get those fake house plants with leaves and branches on them. I have some for my reptiles and they look super natural and they are easy to work with
It seems like the Ducks and the Turtles are having a stand off. Maybe you should intervene Blake, before they start a turf war in the Aviary. Also I think the holes of the nest boxes are to small, with them running it and out any part of their bodies that rub in the entrance might cause cuts, bruises and bald spots, maybe make it a little wider just to make sure they are okay, after all the Aviary is Predator proof. And the Gar would be awesome in Paul Cuffaro's new Property and upcoming big pond, just a suggestion tho.

The screw that u added while putting on the branch for the breeding box...that screw from inside with sharp edge could hurt the bird while going in and out ..look to that
Yeah thought I was trippin like them birds bigger than that hole. I figured they was like rodents with soft bones that allow them to squeeze in to small spaces
🤔Maybe put some straw down on the ground somewhere for nesting. Might need a bigger hole for the opening. Oh and make sure they get enough Calcium !! Don't want them to get egg bound .😲 That would be horrible. Otherwise looks good !!😃👍
Why not glue the box Together so the screws ends are not exposed to hurt the ducks? Why not caulk them so the shavings don’t get wet and cause problems? It rains a lot in Florida and helps keep ants 🐜 and other bugs out. Anything use to whelp baby animals should be constructed very carefully because the number one rule in farming “ if it can go wrong, it will’ stay vigilant my friend. Great video
What you should of did is a half door on the side of nest box . Just cut the side wood in half . Screw in bottom part and put the top with latches so substrate doesn’t come out !!!
I just don’t know if these birds will utilize these nest box. It doesn’t seem very assessable for the birds. The holes do not seem smooth and it’s going to hurt the birds
Looks like you might need to teach those ducks some gymnastics to get in and out of those boxes. The shavings will become compact especially since water will soak thru that wood. And ducks will get stuck inside
Chandler has a huge pond with a bunch of Pacu....im sure he would love to take your Gar....maybe do a Colab on delivering and release into his pond 👍......Chandlers wildlife
That would be dope !!!
Could you imagine how awesome that white gar would look in that crystal clear pond?
Brilliant idea!
Yes give him it please!!!

This was my concern as well.
I seen that.. Its Logic sense that the branches and the steps need 2 screws 🤦🏼♂️
He can also add tree bark to the inside of the nest boxes, to allow the ducklings to climb out as they do in the wild.

Great job, my only concern is the screws poking out of the wood. Shouldn't you clip them to make sure there is no injuries to the ducks.
Man after a long day, watching B.E.A.R is such a relief
As the boxes are quite deep, do you think the birds will be able to get out of it ok x
I was thinking the same.
I was thinking he should make the holes in all bigger
The inside of the boxes have mesh the can climb up and they going to be filled with shavings half way up
Same thing I was thinking when he said the box is deep like if aint no stick inside how will they get back out
The birds will but the babies won't. Same tragedy happend over on White House on the Hills Channel.
I’m sorry I’ve missed out on probably the last year. I remember you talking about starting the aviary🥲 and now I see it’s already done. I’ve always wanted to come to the ranch. I’ve been watching for years now

Be carefull with the screws, could be dangerous for the ducks! Great video!
I was going to say that same thing about the screws. Good 👀 on catching that. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Great job with the nesting boxes! 👍

You maybe able to put the gar in your biulding. But thank you for sharing you video with today sir. And God bless you and your family...🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😊
Maybe a stupid question, but can't you put your Gar inside the fishgallery?? Otherwise you might be able to give it to Paul Cuffaro, he has some massive ponds
Honest question: if the ducks were to lay eggs in those boxes, how do the baby ducks get out? The boxes seem deep. Just wondering.

Love your videos and my kids are still in shock they saw you and Kenya yesterday :)
Lmfao the first bridge at 10:00, ain't no duck using that,😂😂😂 but it's an adorable try
It's nice to see your dreams coming true 🙌.
JO JO IN VT 💕😄

9:39 "GET. AWAY. FROM. ME" LOLOLOL
Alot more birds will be awesome to see the aviary packed with birds
Blake!!!! You should totally rehome the white gar to chandlers pond!!!!!! That thing would look amazing in his pond on his property!!!!!
Would probably go after his dog when it swims
Great job you are doing on the ranch and the next bird u. Get is a peacock

You are one of the best youtuber
You should put two screws in the tree branches you are putting on the side of the nesting boxes
I feel like the boxes are to deep and once the babies hatch, I feel like they will struggle to get out or be stuck. I think the boxes need to half as deep. Just my thoughts though, I don't want to see you lose any babies.

Universal rocks does fake plants that look great and fake rocks moulded off real rocks. You’d absolutely love what they have. Cheers cherieK 🌈🦋🐿🇦🇺

How RU planning to clean those nest box shavings out once they're used and dirty?

Hi blake just a Thierry is the holes to go in the boxes a little small maybe just a little bigger will b better
I can't wait to see what's up next.
hey blake, ive just gotta question my OCD is killing me why is that pipe still in the pond and floating around and moving everywhere whats it supposed to be used for?
For the fish can hide
Turtles use it as a cave!
@@BlakesExoticAnimalRanch thanks blake love the vids you inspire me every video keep it up

I would lovee to see a Pothos grow on that huge pole. Love the fiddle tree in the aviary, would love to see more of those.
To cover all those screws sticking out of the boxes cut small branch dowels and just twist them on like a cork. It looks good and is more safe.
Thanks for another great video blake
I would get shorter screws so when the birds go into the nesting boxes they don’t get cut and get an infection.
You could just put like a barrier of some sort in the bottom part and still open from the side maybe som type of tarp or just something as simple as a plank just so you give it nest deepness and still be able to access it
Love I'm # 7 comment keep it up brother
Do you think you'll have to caulk them so they're water proof for the wet season
Great video love when your mom is with you ♥️♥️‼️‼️she had a great idea open from the top ♥️♥️‼️‼️

Very well done with the Avery it is very impressive
i might be wrong but surely a bird with webbed feet cant perch on a branch and jump into a small hole?
You can get those fake house plants with leaves and branches on them. I have some for my reptiles and they look super natural and they are easy to work with
I don't know if your going to see this comment but i lovee your video keeep it uppppp💯💯💯
Great idea with the artificial branches
You need to increase your aviary videos, its became your superstar in short period.
It seems like the Ducks and the Turtles are having a stand off. Maybe you should intervene Blake, before they start a turf war in the Aviary. I think you should use 2 screws because of the height of the animals or else I think it will rollover(caution because of pointy screw, cut the excess)
Or put a piece of wood in between so the screw tip doesn’t get too much inside the nest
And also the top should open it would be easier
Should definitely get a vine for the pole
My boy in st Petersburg has an aviary. And snakes literally climbed the trees in the nest boxes and ate most of the chicks and smaller birds.
Love your vids keep up the good work
You sure they able to fit though those small holes??!!
The screw that u added while putting on the branch for the breeding box...that screw from inside with sharp edge could hurt the bird while going in and out ..look to that
Can them ducks really fit into that box with that little hole that’s in there for them to enter through
Such an amazing place
I’m just trying to figure out how anything’s gonna get in those holes 😅
Yeah thought I was trippin like them birds bigger than that hole. I figured they was like rodents with soft bones that allow them to squeeze in to small spaces

🤔Maybe put some straw down on the ground somewhere for nesting. Might need a bigger hole for the opening. Oh and make sure they get enough Calcium !! Don't want them to get egg bound .😲 That would be horrible. Otherwise looks good !!😃👍
