Always home..
this made me so sad
Oof my honey nut feelios
This is the only music piece in any Thor film which sounds remotely Viking and that’s why it’s the best
Scandinavian. Viking is a rather specific time period and a profession tbh.
@@santiagoz.s.1024 well if you want to be pedantic then you should probably say Norse as Scandinavian is not specific enough to denote a time frame. But let’s just live a little and accept words no longer quite mean what they used to eh ;)
@@TheOldBlackShuckyDog Nah I meant Scandinavian, music like that is still folkore and very much alive on that part of the world; of course "Norse" also applies, not arguing there. Sorry my knowledge hurt your little ego, small man :3

@@PCESHAHID ruclips.net/video/XJPGwPdtx-0/видео.html
Its this version
Incredible
"Your mother, she calls me. Do you hear it?"
People are so wonderfully, mystifyingly complex. We don't understand other people, or even ourselves. Why do the littlest things sometimes affect us so deeply? Who can say? When Odin said that line, I suddenly saw a whole life laid out before him. A good life, a life worth living. A baby, just come into the world. A child, bright eyes full of mischief. A young man, his fancy turning to sweeter things. Love. Now a couple, greater than the sum of its parts. A father, beginning the cycle anew while turning with it still. The years passing like water, wisdom slowly accumulating as white hairs multiply. A revered elder, looked to for guidance by sons who have yet to see as far. Then, death. Not his own, no. Far worse. Suddenly, whole must become half again and remember how to face the world alone. But hope remains. Not for him, but it doesn't matter now. He has seen beyond himself. So this is what it's like, here at the end of a life's story. I love you, my sons. So much must remain unsaid.
Wow that was deep my friend...
So beautifully written , my friend ❤️
How is this not more liked. Teared up
Wow. You just made that scene way more emotional for me.

@@loafyu5405 I have a feeling Valkyrie might have done most of the work. He was pretty devastated by his loss to Thanos. I'm sure he had a part in it such as picking out the site and maybe talking to the Norwegian government, but she probably did most of the real work.

(This was an actual Nordic saying that was a type of war prayer said before battle and during funerals can’t believe I’m not the only one who thought of this when I heard this in both ragnarok and endgame!!!)
Look at this place. It's beautiful.
Odin: even when you had two eyes you see only half the picture!
Thor: she's too strong without my hammer I can't
Odin: are you Thor the god of hammers hmm? That hammer was given to control your power to focus it , was never your source of strength.
Thor: it too late she's already taken Asgard!
Odin: Asgard is not the place never was, this could be Asgard...... Asgard is where our people stand. Even now, right now those people need your help.
Thor: I'm not as strong as you
Odin: (slowly turns around) " no, your stronger!"
Immigrant song begins to play!
Or
Rocket: who's the fancy broad?
Thor: that's my mother.....she dies today....
Right in the fucking feels!😭

then they make thor fat in endgame just for fun

As soon as Thor and Loki went through that portal and I saw Odin standing there, I knew what was going to happen but I wasn’t ready for it.
Love the TV series Loki's variant of this... So apt to use that music when he learns about the destruction of Asgard at the TVA library
Just imagine this being played as dusk is over Norway.
One day it won't be just imagination
I may live in Sweden, but just a few steps from the Norwegian border. So if you wish this to be played att the Norwegian dusk, it happened yesterday :-)
If you meant dusk as in norways doom though, you will have to wait a bit more ;-)
dusk and dawn last a long time at those latitudes
I went to Norway a couple years ago for a military training exercise, let me tell you when I looked up to the night sky and saw the northern lights for the first time in my life this song was definitely playing in the background of my mind.
"I'm on a different path now. This you must face alone. I love you, my sons. Look at that. Remember this place... Home"
This is what I remember from Thor: Ragnarok the most. This beautiful Norse and Scandinavian type of music. I wish they had pushed that background more on Thor, since he was based off of Norse mythology. It would have been amazing to see Black Panther, who so strongly represented African culture, along side a Thor that represented Northern European culture, instead of taking that all away and him just becoming science fiction american character. It was the magic of him that made me love Marvel in the first place, but now it's all spaceships and boring stuff. Had so much potential! Love this song!
Used greatly in endgame
I heard it and I was like, "nobody heard how sorrowful this moment is."
When? I cant remember the part. Please i need to know!

"You know what failing makes you ?, Just like someone else, where you are supposed to be or not" - Frigga to Thor.
Loved the whole character arc of Thor, such a wonderful story of a leader trying to save his people.
R.I.P Odin and R.I.P Stan Lee
So glad to see this gem reappear in endgame despite not being in a Russo brother film
"I love you my sons" this sentence makes me so emotionel, it reminds that loki thinks he is not loved by his father nor his family, asgard. He thinks he is a stranger, a Monster. So when odin said this, it made me break into tears and i could not stop them no matter how much i watched this scene, and also today it made me cry. The look in loki's face was heartbreaking and that what made me break into more tears.
I love you loki so much, you are not a Monster, you are more than meets the eye.
Not that I dislike the other soundtrack pieces,I l absolutely love all 3 movies soundtracks more than any other marvel movie, but for me this piece always stood out as the most “Norse” and Asgardian sounding soundtrack of them all
This song make me cry
"Look at this place... Beautiful"

That beautiful place is now the new Asgard

This song is like the witcher, I can see Geralt finish a hunt and this song played as he depart for another journey, another hunt, alone in the long road of the witcher
Really makes it something special hearing a traditional Norwegian instrument in it.

In loving memory of the Marvel franchise we once knew. You will be missed.
This movie encapsulates everything that is wrong with the MCU. The first Thor is the best one.
@antona.1327 I disagree. Thor Ragnarok was good and funny for what it was, as a one time thing. After Endgame, everything went down hill after Disney milked the franchise to death.
My mother is nearing her fiftieth birthday. For her birthday this year, we're heading home to Scotland. To give her something her mother never did.
When we step off the plane, I'll play this song for her.

This music moves me. Makes me cry. Beautiful. I'm partially Norwegian, and this song seems to speak to me through that part of my heritage.
Remember this place.....Home
"I love you my sons" And Toms look as Hopkins says that. Amazing acting without a word.
It’s so good, it makes me feel like at peace. When I’m writing and listening to this i always see two lost characters meeting in a temple, it’s cold and solemn. They silently just connect, each gripping the other’s arm as though to say “please be strong for what comes next”. No words, just this sad feeling to it.
I listen to this song at least once every week, it has become like a ritual for me.
All Hail to Allfather...
Gandalf, what a honour it is to meet a Maiar...
Hail Odin, the all father, may you one day come and wander Midgard and the planes beyond, I am always sad for you left this realm, if I could give my life to bring you back and the gods I wouldn’t hesitate, if your out there hear me and know the people of Midgard still stand with you

Odin is not dead. He's eternal. ;D
Norse Gods are not inmortal, they do live about 800 years but they die.
Also Hela is the daughter of Loki, not the goddamn sister!
Loki is the son of a giant called Laufey, not of Odin, the All father adopted him.
JozeManu LOL are you Trolling or just dumb? Hela is odins first born and Thor says in infinity war That he is already 1500 years old.
@@UltimateRageHD Let's see you absolute dumbass, IN REAL NORSE MYTHOLOGY, not whatever bullshit Marvel creates, Hela is the daughter of goddamn Loki, loki is adopted, Odin's got 2 actual sons, Thor and Baldur, if you're a dumbass then learn some shit.
JozeManu LOL,
Look dude, we aren’t talking about Norse Mythology, Norse Mythology doesn’t tie into the MCU, the MCU is very different and you don’t have to be an asshole about that, we understand ur very knowledgeable bout Norse Mythology but that doesn’t mean you can just be a dick to some random person on the internet. Chill dude,
@@aanghernandez4277 I just don't like Marvel just manipulating history and mythologies and people believing that that's how the reality is.
MCU's Thor is BASED from something real and already written entirely.
Why couldn't they just stay true to the mythology and teach the fans a little bit about it like God of War does?
Norse music is so great tbh. Like the themes from Vikings is so great as will as this one
