Just a quick video showing how I replaced the inside sliding door handle on my 2016 Ford Transit Van XLT 350. This looks like it would be the same for several other years as well. I bought the replacement handle on Amazon and it worked great!
You will need a small flathead screwdriver or something to pry the panels and small plastic covers off and a T-30 Torx Bit or Torx Screwdriver to remove the two bolts that hold the handle in place.

Hey Dan, my sliding door handle looks like nothing is broken, however it does not open from the inside. Any suggestions ?

It still might have pulled one of the cables out. I would take off the panel and take a closer look. Hopefully you will be able to find the problem with it off. If you’re already in there and nothing looks broken, then I would try pulling the cables manually to see if you can release the door that way. It may be a problem with a sticky latch or a problem with one of the cables.
