Great video. Thanks. Leave it up to Ford to make them where you have to take the whole interior panel off. They could have made it where the mirror plug was just behind the mirror so you just had to take the 3 nuts off that hold the mirror on, pull the mirror out, and unplug it from there.
Not sure if it is an issue with all years but on my 2019 there is a 7 mill screw behind the red reflector midway down outside of the door panel. Gotta pop the reflector off and use an extension to get at it.
Been looking for days for a video on it, have you ever experienced the front door speakers not working on one side only? It’s super weird it cuts on sometimes but the majority of the time I can’t get any audio to come out of it? Can’t figure out if it’s wiring or my aux chord as the radio still works out of both speakers some times but no AUX audio??
I wonder what's the purpose of the plug if it doesn't have the integrated signal light some replacement Transit mirrors have (If you explained it I am sorry but I watched it at the fastest speed). If it wasn't for that plug it'd be an easy job! Thanks for your video. I have to do this twice tomorrow to get a driver's mirror from a totaled Transit (thanks to one dude at work who claims the Transit simply started spinning out of nowhere in the highway and according to the body shop it's going to take months to get fixed since there are no parts available) and then put it in the other Transit the same guy at work destroyed during the weekend claiming someone hit his mirror and floored it. I don't think he's going to last much longer working with us.
I can't say for sure I work on a fleet of transits, but as far as I know all the full size transits are the same. If I had to guess I would say it's a 2018.

@tysonfranko3834 it is probably the radio, or the wireing where it bends from the door opening and closing.
Very helpful, thank you
Thank u sirrrr

The wiring on this mirror is for the motors that adjust the glass from the driver's mirror adjustment buttons.
Thanks for online lesson
Thnak you!

Clutch vid
This video is 2 and half years old. I don't suppose you kept the broken mirror base that you removed?
No sorry
So there no hinge part .. you need to replace the entire part even if glass isn't broken . ?
Maybe if you have a used one laying around, but the only way to get it new is as a complete unit.
@@GrimRepair thanks for answer
What year vehicle is that ?

If your inner door panel has a reflector, there is a screw under the reflector.
That's wierd this van has a reflector, but no screw. What year is your van, transit 150 or 250?
@@GrimRepair I have a 2020 Transit 250. It has the screw under the reflector.
I can second this on a 2018 transit
What year is it, kind of important!! mk what ?

👍👍😊
Damn I had screw under the reflector!
New cars are not meant to come apart. Especially once old.
The inner core is die cast metal..cheapest crap available. They may as well made it out of styrofoam.
The aftermarket replacements are all plastic, which is even worse!
