Even though, as a foreigner living in Tamil Nadu, I have not seen too much cheese intake among South Indians, our family has been making paneer from scratch for many years, and cannot remember the last time I bought it in a store. The turning point was obviously getting a cow and having our own milk.
Not only the homemade paneer is more fresh, it is also cheaper to make it than to buy.
Since we built an oven for bread and pizza making, we also learned how to make. our own mozzarella cheese. Both are easy and anyone, with a bit of practice, will definitely master it.
