To be honest, I think the larger issue with the Dark Citadel being forced multiplayer in Diablo 4 is that, without its inclusion, you basically have an online-only single-player game set in a massive and mostly pointless open world. The Dark Citadel seems like the kind of content that should have been in the base game if they wanted this multiplayer, open-world, MMO-like design, but the game is 98% not about that. So what ended up happening is that 1.5 years later, the audience now feels like the game is an online-only single-player game. Honestly, you can’t blame players for thinking that, given that’s the game they’ve been playing for the last 1.5 years. I think the other symptom is that running the Pit for Glyph levels or Nightmare Dungeons/Infernal Hordes for Masterworking Materials over and over and over again as the single-player alternative doesn't feel fulfilling, so I think part of these complaints are really just players asking for more content in the endgame.
I agree that the hard line drawn by the dark citadel simply doesn't fit the rest of the game we've all been playing for the last 1.5 years, but I struggle with calling D4 an online-only single-player game. I'm a very casual player and spend most of my time on eternal. I still see players in town every time I log in. I still inspect folks on a semi-regular basis, either to see what transmogs they're using or out of pure curiosity towards their builds. Every time I join a legion or world boss fight, I'm doing it with other players. Nearly every time I join a helltide or summon a blood maiden, I'm doing it with other players. When I do play on a seasonal realm, I often run into players doing open-world events and join them. I recognize that many activities in D4 are limited to single-player or group play and that the vast majority of players never join groups, but the open-world is different. The open-world is a place for free-form multiplayer without the need for groups. And when I participate in an open-world activity it ends up being with other players the vast majority of the time. Personally, I don't think that's pointless. The existence of the dark citadel bothers me because I'm a solo player, meaning I've literally never run it. But even as a solo player, I inevitably end up playing the game with other players almost every time I log in... and I genuinely think that's pretty cool. I would even go so far as to say that I'd love to see the seamless free-form multiplayer of the open-world extended to the rest of the games content. Something like an option you can enable that automatically drops you into another player's pit/horde/dungeon/etc. or vice versa without the forced trappings of a formal group. I wonder how significantly such a change would impact the "80% solo player" statistic.
Ur not necessarily wrong, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that no one should have been expecting an arpg to come without having to grind something. And let's be honest. D4 now is relatively miles better than the shit state it was in at release.
I would not say PoE 2 is a spiritual successor to D2 at all. It's far too unforgiving. PoE originally was the spiritual succcesor, before it seemingly became the spiritual successor to D3 with how crazy strong everyone is.
Hmmm I would describe it as a complete evolution of a genre that has stayed in D2's shadow for far too long. It's very bold, GGG has a very strong vision for the future of the genre, not everyone is going to be onboard, but those will stay behind and give way to a new generation of ARPG players. The game is a blueprint for the entire future of this genre, I'm serious about this, people are probably gonna look back at it as a genre-defining game in 10 years, it'll have that in common with D2 but for a new generation.
Dude, HUGE THANK YOU for giving a shout out for truth and reality - there is an appalling lack of it around these days, and the numbers out there actively eschewing it is truly sickening. Love your content - keep up the great work!
So so happy for GGG they deserve all the praise. Such an amazing game. Takes me back to when D2 released and how solely engrossed I was playing it. PoE2 is phenomenal
Hey Rhykker, as a D3 player who watched your content back when it was still the latest Diablo game, but didn’t get the same enjoyment out of D4, I’m really excited to get back into your content. Much love man
Unfortunately we have taught media companies that sensationalism is more important than truth by the clicks. The truth got too boring. All the media companies care about is getting the click and the ad revenue. They don't even spot read things anymore to make sure that the correct spelling of the word is used, or that the sentence makes sense even though there are no spelling mistakes. The 24 hour news cycle also helped contribute to this. The TV stations had to have content to air and so we got all the opinuendo with the news telling us how to think and feel about things. These things then filtered down to other journalism and so now we have a lot of hype people instead of journalists. I wish we would go back to the days where the truth mattered and the hype didn't.
PoE2 has changed the game. I was just going to check it out but now I am hooked. I will not be returning to D4 ever again. PoE2 is such a great game already.
The ability and support gems not being tied to your equipement is really welcomed for starting characters. Feels like the game has a very bright future , eager to see the devs creativity with seasons in the future
Thank you. SO many people in today's time are ready to condemn people, companies, and organizations and refuse to give credit for something good just because a certain person or organization has done them wrong in the past. Thank you for pointing out that giving credit where credit is due, and that truth in journalism still has a place in society.
Even though I'm dying alot in poe2, I'm having way more fun. It's the first time I've not looked for build guides and the tutorial and systems are making it pretty easy to learn the basics of the game. It's a good game, I'll probably not play D4 again
Bro, apply what you said about truth(with Ubisoft) and apply it to almost all news and politics. No one what's to think critically. They just want quick satisfaction. Keep doing you
I've played Diablo 2 since launch when I was on middle school. Played it for over 20 years off and and. I've played all the mods. I got Diablo 3 on launch and was bored after beating it. Got Diablo 4 on launch, and I like it way more than D3, but only played a year off and on. Nothing has had my attention like the Diablo series... Until now. This is the best ARPG I've ever played.
after i tried and didn't really get into PoE1 about a year or so i thought "hey i might like PoE2 if i got into it early and didn't get burried under 29184 systems" so i bought EA and it's probably just a me problem but some stuff just very much rubs me the wrong way... having to think 20 minutes of a name that wasn't taken, gender locked classes, no character customization, gameplay that (to me) feels like diablo 1... just made in 2024, not much info about the classes i could prepare with and look for a build that sounds the most fun to me, i tried a witch and was surprised that my minions basically died against more than 2 enemies at the start, also the passive skill forest is still extremely intimidating so i decided it's not for me and refunded the game, i'll just stick with D3 and 4 but i hope everyone enjoys the game i'm sure it's great, it's just not for me ^^
I was trying out D4 again in the free weekend recently, reached max lvl (25) and get kicked. I played a bit of PoE2 over this weekend and i think i am getting near the act1. The biggest difference in the two games for me was the feeling of progression. In D4 i didnt have anything to think of. I just clicked a new skill every few levels, tried few out and sticked to the ones that felt least meh for the sorceress. In PoE2 i got the starting skills (gems and weapon) for my witch and it was ok, then i didnt know where to put passives skills, but knowing there is respec this time, i just put in some dmg and rushed the line up. But the more i found the more there was to think about. After clicking off the reccomended skills, i was intrigued. Especially with all the avalible supports. So much options and things i wanted. After the trial for D4 ended i really didnt feel the itch to play more. There was very little to aspire to. But in PoE2 i cant wait to play more and get some more skills and supports to play with. For me the plethora of choise and the possible character development get me hooked.
yeah to each their own ^^ i'm aware it's very much a me problem because a ton of people are loving PoE2 i guess i'm not enjoying the blind approach so much because until now i didn't know there was a respec and it just gave me flashbacks to ragnarok online back in the day where i absolutely butchered my main character and made it really hard to progress xD i might give it another shot when it's fully released because shadow isn't in EA
I am enjoying POE2 but we all know hype can be short lived and die off. Im not saying it will but I would not write off d4 yet. Just look at New World. Evryone was playing it and 3 months later noone was.
"Truth and Facts matter" - Rhykker.......if it was only for this reason alone, I would continue to come back watching your News and other Content!! THANK YOU RHYKKER for being an AWESOME journalist!!!
I've been a Diablo player since Diablo 1 in 1996. I've put 1,000s and 1,000s of hours into Diablo. I've played the Dark Citadel once with a random squad. It was awkward. I carried the whole team (not because I'm "that good," but because I rolled a Spiritborn this season). And, even though we succeeded in the end, I haven't played it since due to the forced multiplayer approach. 🤷♂
Yeah the Witch is the only reason I'd play poe2 since I prefer minion builds, and the witch looks like what I wished D4 necro was, but at the same time I'll probably wait till full release since I'm not in any real hurry to play it.
I’m struggling with my witch. Overall I like the game - a lot - but people are ignoring a lot of issues. Inventory is the same terrible system from D2. I find myself constantly in my inventory moving things around and then in a loading screen to go sell. I have no idea how important gold is going to be down the road so I have been selling a lot to make sure I have a decent stockpile. I barely feel an increase in power when I level up because there is an over reliance on item RNG. The levels feel small with the corridor design style, but it is what it is. I know “D4 bad, PoE2 good” is al the rage but I prefer D4. Luckily, I don’t have to choose and can play both.
@@stuartbagley2586 Im playing witch - If you're struggling and playing minions, use a few snipers and use the poison grenade thing they enable (you can bind it once they are channelled) as use fire to pop the poison clouds for huge damage. Also, summoning raging spirits works well with this as they are spawned by fire skills. Using the sorcerer skills is a good way to pick up dmg in general.
@@stuartbagley2586 Tbh after reading your reply, it just makes me really want to wait till full release so I don't have to spend money before I can play it, since that inventory problem in d2 was easily one of the worse parts about the game.
Big respect for your shoutout about Ubisoft ! I'm also not a fan of the "hater's gonna hate"-policy everywhere, taking any (false) gossip and complaining about it, so a big respect for defending the truth, even if it means that it was defending Ubisoft in your case ! on the other hand, a horrible move from them to lay off so many workers in general and even worse, so close before Christmas ! they should be awarded an entry in the hall of shame for that action ! especially since the workers have to pay the price for Ubisofts failed plannings... :(
Ahh I’m still in act 1 with the monk laying frozen locusts and smashing everything the mini bosses are so much fun and there all different strategies not just a new skin and affix. Best aarpg I have ever played.
Great take on whole ubisoft, but more importanly true take I try to take the same stance when it comes to the way I interact with reality. Props on your neutrality you got a new sub.
Condor designed diablo as a solo player game , it was blizzard who asked for a multiplayer aspect to the game, the head developer said it himself in an interview.
Yea, but even David Brevik admitted that what he wanted for Diablo 3 was for it to be an MMO which Blizz didn't like because they already had an MMO, that being WoW.
@@Brotelhoso? It would have been a completely different game if he had actually been allowed to make it how he wanted to. Would have been a lot better

The other shitty thing Ubisoft is doing about X Defiant is only refunding players purchases made in the last 30 days after the Chief Executive Officer of X Defian, Mark Rubin promised players that X Defiant would not be shutting down in Sept 2024. Mark then stated again in Oct 2024 that X Defiant would not be shutting down. Those were blatant lies to get players to spend money on the sinking ship and Ubisoft should be forced to refund all purchases from Sept 18, 2024, the date Mark Rubin promised players the game would not be being shut down.
I'm extremely proud of how GGG has handled this. They're learning to care about their own creation and their players so much more....which imo is THE KEY to making an amazing game. MORE companies should learn from them. They've set a benchmark.
launch was rough but that is why its important to be transparent and build credibility with your base like GGG does so when something does happen we are more understanding and more willing to wait
d4 and poe2… this isnt a war. it is fine to play just one, or to play both. personally i am all about d4 and have zero interest in poe2. i do have well wishes of success for poe2 and hope its players have a good time 👍🏼
After playing 20 hours since release I have yet to fight a boss that doesn't have unique mechanics, it's amazing, I had to actively play to win those fights too unlike D4 were I can just use 1 or 2 skills and wing it and win easy.
I love the quality of the game for early access. They’re going to change so many things before release I wouldn’t worry about shit you hate yet. They’ll probably change alot
Only thing I don’t like about POE2 is the HORRENDOUS targeting for controller. Don’t know how many times I’m targeting an enemy and a spell will go the complete opposite direction. And the ice skating of the player caused by how they did the targeting. It’s really bad.
I'm having the same problem on mouse honestly, very noticeable with a skill thats meant to leap me back from the cursor just goes where ever it wants way too often..
Yes! On controller it wasnt too bad until I fought the first mini boss in act 2. All my casts were attacking enemies on the lower level, completely ignoring the boss right next to me. Hopefully the tweak this soon

POE2 is a better graphic game than POE. After playing POE2 for a while I decided to go back to the original POE. Unfortunately POE 2 is not for me. D4 and POE are my games.
I think many people just aren’t saying poe2 isn’t for them. It’s amazing looking but terrible to play. It’s actually pretty aweful watching top tier players like Alkaizer and gorantha play their characters. It looks so awkwardly horrific
As a D4 player, can I say something without anyone getting mad at me and start a discussion? Well done GGG. Hope this lights a fire underneath Blizzards butt.
Lol, it won't. All they care about is $, and they make that by servicing a completely different market, GGG isn't targeting casuals. If Blizzard wanted to compete for the best ARPG title they would have started doing that years ago, not now.
Sceptres + anything with minion/element gem levels (helmets, wands) or spirit (amulet, body armour). Keep in mind that sceptres can be used in your main hand, allowing the use of a shield or foci if you're purely relying on your minions rather than personal damage.
I really want to like PoE, but the game is Just. Too. Difficult. I really need a casual mode of this game. It seems so odd to me that they would want to gatekeep the game this much with all of the incredible hard work and love that has gone into the design of the systems and mechanics in this franchise. I'm trying to struggle through PoE 2 early access but right now it looks like I'm going to give up before reaching endgame. We'll see.
Glad you gave the game a shot. I don’t know that POE would be POE if it had an easy mode though. I died within the first five minutes of me starting up the game for the first time-to a crab. I’ve died multiple times since then to bosses and their mechanics and to elite and champion monsters. I’ve played ARPGs for years, and I’ve put in at least 300 hours into the original Path of Exile, though that’s basically nothing to a veteran. The point is, Path of Exile 2 is meant to be a challenging game that requires intention and careful gameplay to succeed. That’s what makes it stand out from Diablo IV. I hope you’ll push through and learn the hard lessons the game teaches, because I promise it’ll be worth it. But if not, thank you for trying it anyway 💪🏼
@@snrlrocky Completely agree on all of this. THere is diablo if you want to blast braindead following the best guide because there isn't any real player agency anyway. PoE2 is something else and needs to stay as it is. No everyone has to be able to play everygame.
U can make it less difficult by overlevering a bit, until it feels easier. Just repeat an area a few times. U can reset the instance by pressing ctrl when u enter.
I think it's just a bit unbalanced still and you gotta hit the right class. Been doing firesorc and it's challenging but fair and I have been progressing. We'll see how far it takes me. In mid a2 I think.
The irony of this guy!! The title is POE2 and he talked about Diablo4 for 8 minutes and POE2 for 4 minutes!! If u wanna talk about your sponsor Diablo4 then make a title about it . Don’t mislead!!wrf .the irony
@Rhykker, regarding the part about finding the passives. You can find it faster if you equip the item then open the passive screen. It will be the new "upgraded passive" . Still annoying though but will save you a little time until they correct it.
PoE never appealed to me, ever. it just looked weird. like the camera angle was wrong or something? but this new one is looking a lot better. won't pay for early access, but definitely thinking about trying it at launch.
Diablo is far from an MMO, it has a very rudimentary MMO type of feature, kind of, but not really, Diablo is an ARPG.. World of Warcraft, RuneScape, Elder Scrolls Online, those are MMO’s, Diablo isn’t that, I played Diablo, it’s not an MMO
Before I moved to Linux, I bought exclusively from GOG for this reason. But it became annoying getting games to run (like it wouldn't be difficult, and you get it running the first time, and it's good thereafter), and so I moved to Steam which just worked for everything I've played, but I was sad about it.
PoE 2 is good, but so is D4. I'm playing both, and will for a while. If you like top down ARPGs, you'll have room for both. Only petty children pick one and talk crap about the other.
Dark Citadel should stay multi-player only. I hated the fact at first, too, then I just looked for random groups via the party finder and it wasn't an issue at all. They could use a similar boss design for additional content without changing DC, but for once they should stick to their initial concept and don't break DC by making it just another solo speedrun.
Played full sunday taking a break from Ashes since wipe inc in two weeks, so I got to Act1 final boss as a warrior and man I got destroyed...after a few trys I had to improve my gear and build, took me 10-12 trys and finally killed him and it was amazing.
We need Divinity or Baulders gate set up where you can right click with an item window open. Then there are links within said item window. Just like the Vulnerable stat's where its shown at the bottom of the item what vulnerable does. We need that for EVERY status effect and EVERY passive\skill in the game. we need a Glossary to open when we click these names\titles that links to a list of all the skills\passives.
have fun playing, watched the stream yesterday, which let my envy rise =P. cant play because my PC imploded and cant afford a new one probably through the whole EA time, because our house drowned... so pls do more streams on witch as i wanted to play just that =P.

Hi Rhykker =] As somebody that has Blizzard's ear, could you maybe drop that another really good quality of life suggestion would be right-click teleport to player ? It's such a simple feature in Diablo 3, but it would significantly improve the experience in Diablo 4 I feel =] Thank you so much, and love your content =D
I have to say that POE2 really does give me Diablo 2 vibes....I'm still in the middle of Act 1 and I loved exploring the crypts in the graveyard - that's the type of dungeon crawling I like to have. Overall the difficulty isn't too bad, though some bosses are a bit tougher than others (though I haven't really gotten very far in the overall content). Still, when you finally get past a tough opponent, there is a sense of accomplishment which is nice. I also appreciate the slower, more tactical pace of the combat (except for the rituals where mobs rush you from all directions super fast - get rid of that!), especially as I'm playing Sorceress and I can plan out my attacks. Definitely will go further. =^-^=
@@yulfine1688There were. The act 1 mud cave had a similar feel to the 'maggot lair' in D2 act 2. And the graveyard felt similar to D2 act 1 where you fought the corrupted rogue (from d1) and the nearby dungeons. Also several of the music tracks/ambient sounds were definitely inspired by d2 (and d1)
I think you find it “easier than expected” mainly as you are playing summoner witch, you’ll find most of the other classes to be less cruisy in the early game.
I played for 5 hours straight last night, until 3am. I had to force myself to get off and try to sleep. The game feels like an actual *game*, rather than like Diablo 4 which just feels like a stat check. I keep finding cool little details (like how enemy shields are literal in their directional blocking capability). It feels like I'm playing real time Dungeons and Dragons or Pathfinder.
that damn doggos... pretty sure i made a mistake on my build. I kinda wish they keep those 'dash' skills, getting cornered is almost certain death. well it's also 'git gud' stuff but still it's nice to have a way out of that. also i personally find range characters feel better compared to melee centric
Server kicked me out then showed me how many people are waiting in line. Wondering if they have plans to increase capacity or just wait things out until the player-base gets past the hype.
Not seeing that on the steam charts says they only got above half mil player's...but i though the game was like playing in the 80's ...My thoughts were like i dragging chains behind me...drop out after about 3 hours of playing the game , will come back to in a week or two..
Steam charts (obviously) only covering players on Steam, not on the standalone client or consoles (PoE 1 roughly has 65% of its players on Steam). They also only show the maximum concurrent players, that are online at the same time. So while some players do play for long hours, at a certain point they log off, while others have not yet logged in yet. Timezones play a big part of that.
People are struggling and probably don’t know GGG is really good at putting things in to fix everything and also to go way far and let you feel like you’re getting away with breaking the game. I had to show some people that early on like act 1 to hold on and grab some gold from sales and grab movement speed boots and then look for +2 and then +3 skill at level 6 from the vendors. Some sorc players then found it was way better. Then telling them to actually craft and bolster up resists and some life where they can. Like in POE1 the design and solutions are there ya just gotta take the time and look. Same people would’ve had issues with Marveil not knowing grabbing some frost resist would help tremendously. Same observations/solutions are there in POE2. This is why some people are struggling and others are breezing through. Gotta not be lazy and just take a look at what’s going on and try to fix challenges. Also, people get pigeon holed into one class and build…. It’s ok to make many classes and mess around with them a bit and then settle in with what makes more sense. Some of our friends are playing opposites from each other from what they thought they were going in as. For those sorcs out there I really recommend Allie’s latest vid… yeah that Allie lol. I think we can move on from the div card thing lol. Her and crew did the same good stuff in Last Epoch and now they have come up with some nice info on sorc here as well.
Anyone else having an issue that says they have not purchased the game despite that they did? And is not able to refund it either. Essentially, the key we purchase for early access never existed?

Plus, Diablo 1, 2, and 3 were all solo games.
You can party up with friends but you choose not to and complain that you don't need to even though you very well could have the entire time.
Truth and fact matter and i will always defend it. Strong line.
Just stopped after 12 hours of nonstop playing, and I'm completely conviced that POE2 is indeed a true spiritual successor of D2.
I would not say PoE 2 is a spiritual successor to D2 at all. It's far too unforgiving.
PoE originally was the spiritual succcesor, before it seemingly became the spiritual successor to D3 with how crazy strong everyone is.
@@TheCooderixDiablo 2, from my memory, was a pretty unforgiving game at times. Not at the level of POE2 but I def remember struggling early in game.
@@TheCooderix that means it is the true successor of D1 then.
Dude, HUGE THANK YOU for giving a shout out for truth and reality - there is an appalling lack of it around these days, and the numbers out there actively eschewing it is truly sickening. Love your content - keep up the great work!
Respect for standing for truth
Extremly good start - yes I paid for early access, I like the Grim Dawn feel! Good on GoG for keeping Warcraft alive - BOMBS ARE GREAT!!!!
PoE2 has changed the game. I was just going to check it out but now I am hooked. I will not be returning to D4 ever again. PoE2 is such a great game already.
Lmao yea ok
@@bd9045 cope
PoE 2 actually made me realise just how good D4 is, even though it lacks the depth of PoE.
D4 already took your money though.
The ability and support gems not being tied to your equipement is really welcomed for starting characters. Feels like the game has a very bright future , eager to see the devs creativity with seasons in the future
Into act 2 on the warrior. Man what a dream game. Likely my forever game. All the loot I love D2 and the boss feel of dark souls
Facts and Truth..!!! God Speed to you sir and thank you for being so open and honest!
PoE 2 is absolutely incredible! Bigley.
after i tried and didn't really get into PoE1 about a year or so i thought "hey i might like PoE2 if i got into it early and didn't get burried under 29184 systems"
so i bought EA and it's probably just a me problem but some stuff just very much rubs me the wrong way... having to think 20 minutes of a name that wasn't taken, gender locked classes, no character customization, gameplay that (to me) feels like diablo 1... just made in 2024, not much info about the classes i could prepare with and look for a build that sounds the most fun to me, i tried a witch and was surprised that my minions basically died against more than 2 enemies at the start, also the passive skill forest is still extremely intimidating
so i decided it's not for me and refunded the game, i'll just stick with D3 and 4
but i hope everyone enjoys the game i'm sure it's great, it's just not for me ^^
So you want to play a bad game made by a shit company? Yikes
13:17 I’ve always appreciated your content!!! Now I know one of the reasons why. Thanks for holding facts and truth in high regard
I am enjoying POE2 but we all know hype can be short lived and die off. Im not saying it will but I would not write off d4 yet.
Just look at New World. Evryone was playing it and 3 months later noone was.
POE 2 is fucking incredible.
Nah. Better than d4 but not by much
@XboxSucks-g3k I respect your opinion. I greatly disagree
Dang an early access game with only half of it being available is better than d4 😂
It's fun
@@XboxSucks-g3k PoE and PoE 2 are f2p 🤡, go back and buy your $120 game, mounts, mtx and 3-hour story expansion bozo "not by much" 🤣
"Truth and Facts matter" - Rhykker.......if it was only for this reason alone, I would continue to come back watching your News and other Content!!
Love the commitment to actual facts. You continue to impress.
wtf is diablo 4? never heard of it, is it a exile-like game?
Best Exile-like I’ve ever played
Facts and Truth. Why Rhykker has been one of my favourites since day 1.
10 min in poe2 and my necro is way more fun than I have ever had with one.
Level 8 mercenary and I'm having a blast!
Chat log for rotations would be incredible. Love the idea. Such a simple change would make a massive upgrade.
POE is number 2 on PlayStation behind Marvel Rivals. I never played POE but I am loving POE 2.
Well I am glad D1 and D2 were multi-player games. No regrets there whatsoever
@@Brotelhoso? It would have been a completely different game if he had actually been allowed to make it how he wanted to. Would have been a lot better
@@GameTimeWhy The conversation isn't about what the end product could have been. The conversation is about multiplayer content in a Diablo game.
P.S. You have no clue whether it would have been a "Better game" if David Brevik was the director of D3.
@@Brotelho no. It would have been a completely different game and was going to be designed to actually be an MMO and not this weird thing we got in D4. It would have been better by virtue of not being the garbage we got.
I must say it’s something about this guys energy I just enjoy. So many POE streamers but I gravitated to Rhykker because he’s such a laid back cool dude. Got a sub from me and I’m not subbed to any gamers. I watched your stream to gauge when I should log in on day of launch… needless to say I was one of the first in.
Damn right Rhykker. Always tell the truth.

I wasn't really into POE but decided to buy in. My god it amazing
launch was rough but that is why its important to be transparent and build credibility with your base like GGG does so when something does happen we are more understanding and more willing to wait
d4 and poe2… this isnt a war.
it is fine to play just one, or to play both.
personally i am all about d4 and have zero interest in poe2.
i do have well wishes of success for poe2 and hope its players have a good time 👍🏼
After playing 20 hours since release I have yet to fight a boss that doesn't have unique mechanics, it's amazing, I had to actively play to win those fights too unlike D4 were I can just use 1 or 2 skills and wing it and win easy.
C'mon Rhykker, be honest. Is PoE 2 better than D4?
I love the quality of the game for early access. They’re going to change so many things before release I wouldn’t worry about shit you hate yet. They’ll probably change alot
Poe2 is everything I'd hoped it was. It's been awesome so far.
To compare new to a rank 12 item: look at the distance the number is from the max. This number is consistent in growth. If your 1% from max with a 12 masterwork, your only upgrade in that stat is one that is .5% or max when 12 mastered.
POE2 is a better graphic game than POE. After playing POE2 for a while I decided to go back to the original POE. Unfortunately POE 2 is not for me. D4 and POE are my games.
@mediocrity25years68 I won't play D4 but I def prefer PoE1 over 2.
Blizzard's ideas are just stale there is nothing there that will make the game massively better although it is better then when it launched.
How do we scale minion damage outside of the passive skill tree? Can't seem to find any items with affixes that help
Sceptres + anything with minion/element gem levels (helmets, wands) or spirit (amulet, body armour).
Keep in mind that sceptres can be used in your main hand, allowing the use of a shield or foci if you're purely relying on your minions rather than personal damage.
Are they adding a ton more currencies in full game?
When does it officially launch
6-12 months from now, no official date yet
Imagine GGG creating diablo like game.
We'll see.
Hey bud just keep at it, I’m sure it will click for ya eventually.
1 million…… still trying to let that sink in…..

When is it free too play??
@Rhykker, regarding the part about finding the passives. You can find it faster if you equip the item then open the passive screen. It will be the new "upgraded passive" . Still annoying though but will save you a little time until they correct it.
PoE never appealed to me, ever. it just looked weird. like the camera angle was wrong or something? but this new one is looking a lot better. won't pay for early access, but definitely thinking about trying it at launch.
Ok thanks
Look I’m not saying you should get it now, but when it is out free to play, you will hopefully have a blast with it. Im loving it so far.
5:00 agreed, if you want players to acknowledge your game as a Diablo-like then NOT making it an MMO should be your starting point
Once the servers calmed down I was able to get in and play for a few hours. The game is super fun and I'm still only in A1!
I heard Johnathan say they had planned for 1 million on day 1 and I knew I wasn't going to get to play the game for at least a couple hours.
Well ALT on anything does just that
The story behind ggg gives me goosebumps

Having a great time with POE2 as well
In the world of quickly spreading misinformation like plague and propaganda wars, all we need is journalists like Rhykker who merely defend the truth. Mad respect, man, cheers!
there is 0 diablo 2 vibes from poe2...
Truth and facts deserve representation. I appreciate this.
that damn doggos... pretty sure i made a mistake on my build. I kinda wish they keep those 'dash' skills, getting cornered is almost certain death. well it's also 'git gud' stuff but still it's nice to have a way out of that. also i personally find range characters feel better compared to melee centric
I agree I think the lack of movement skills is awkward, if you get surrounded you're just dead
Warrior right here yeah buddy. Love it. 💪
I highly respect your ethics and the way you put truth above all. Thank you for that
The game is incredible, my heart was pumping during the first boss fight.
Wait until act 1 end boss. Clearly one of my foundest memories of gamer now :)
the dark citadel is awesome, I wish they had went harder on the mechanics, I want a very in depth raid now, would be so fun.
