Am I the only one who never skipped this clip when playing? I think I saw it over 50 times and never get tired of it.
Same; after finishing the 3 months ago I still come from time to time to watch it. It tears me up a little each time I watch it knowing what all of the characters have been through.

A masterpiece for jrpg! It still shocks me after watching the ending. It has complete and brilliant set up. Tales of arise is really worth playing!

@Rein Sama The skits are going to be hit or miss I feel. It's weird they are using 3d models for the skits but they have less animation than the 2d ones. But I did like the skit with alphen "cooking"

I was so pleased with Scarlet Nexus, now I'm waiting for this
I bought Scarlet Nexus because it's like having Sorey and Mikleo all over again as Yuito and Kasane, with the "childhood friend" looking like a certain princess with brown hair. Of course, the red thread of fate is between the two MCs. Overall gameplay, combat, story, and character designs are good.
Tales of Arise will deliver. I love the graphics... thanks to Zestiria's art director, Mr. Minoru Iwamoto. And the combat is something old Tales gamers will love since it's based on the older Tales.

Finished the game and never skipped the intro once lol. Still come back once a month or so to listen to this 15 x straight. Just for the feels.

Agreed for once none of the character seems annoying, which would be a first in a Tales of, there is usually always at least 1 character I can't stand in all Tales of, but for this one they all seem at least decent.

@@Kage57 Nah honnestly he is one of my favorite, he can be seen as annoying only during Sidequest and Skit but his annoyance fit the character, as he is basically a noble put out of his zone of cumfort for the first time in his life, and is basically clueless on how to live by himself.
The moment I saw the foot I already know it's Ufotable. As expected from one of the best studios, never dissapoint the fans.
Was feeling uncertain by the theme+OP...but now, after listening to the JP for quite some hours and now this eng ver, I can safely say that I do not regret one bit preordering the collector's edition here in the EU, this theme is awesome and I'm quite hopeful the game is gonna be my fave for the year and possibly in my top for Tales of!

If you're wondering why the singer sounds familiar, the band is Kankaku Pierrot (Kankaku Piero). They also sang Haruka Mirai (Black Clover 1st Opening) and Rakugaki Page (Black Clover 6th Opening)

Yeaj thats the good thing about this series, each one are stand alone stories as far as im aware, so this is a good starting point as any.
It’s really cool that they divided the team into a “a team“ and “b team” here. Personally, I think the b team looks more interesting (if only because they are new haha) and I’m excited to learn how this new team dynamic shapes up

Not the biggest JRPG fan tbh, but for some reason this game hit hard with me. Honestly wish I could experience it for the first time again.
Everything from the actual difficult combat at max difficulty, the insane combos you can pull off, the different playstyles with each character, THE STORY WAS AMAZING, epic boss battles, the characters were mostly awesome without too many cliches, all around amazing game, with an amazing and satisfying (seriously so many games story fail at their wrapping up their stories now a days), and I think this game deserves even more love than it already has.
One of my all time favorites still.
the end of the story was dogwater if you ask me, the whole last 4th of the game was just tragically boring

Something about this tales opening is just magical. It was my first introduction to anime styled games and now after trying a few more I gotta say that this game holds up and will always hold a special place in my heart for how cool and wholesome the story was.
Never played a Tales of game but a certain fire birb has convinced me to get this one. Unlimited Budget Works at it again and the music is amazing too.

This was my very first tales game , I bought it around a week and a half ago and finished it today , there was not 1 second of the whole game that I didn't enjoy , it was visually stunning , the music was great and I loved the characters and I was really invested in them , alphen and shionne's relationship was so sweet and I love them
Try Tales of Vesperia, this also is a beautiful game

Kankaku Piero has one of best bass guitar uses ever. its to the point that my brain deafens the surrounding piece and then listens to only the bass. gives the songs so much life and metaphorical heartbeat

The one from bump of chicken seems off at first too but now it's my favorite tales song.

Check out Tales of Vesperia if you have the chance. Its a bit older but it recently got re-released on moderns systems. Yuri is easily in the Top 3 of the best Tales Protagonists.
The Story takes ages to get going though.

They do have romantic themes, but not usually a main focus. The relationships tend to be more complex.
