Of course, the red thread of fate is between the two MCs. Overall gameplay, combat, story, and character designs are good. Tales of Arise will deliver. I love the graphics... thanks to Zestiria's art director, Mr. Minoru Iwamoto. And the combat is something old Tales gamers will love since it's based on the older Tales.

Not the biggest JRPG fan tbh, but for some reason this game hit hard with me. Honestly wish I could experience it for the first time again. Everything from the actual difficult combat at max difficulty, the insane combos you can pull off, the different playstyles with each character, THE STORY WAS AMAZING, epic boss battles, the characters were mostly awesome without too many cliches, all around amazing game, with an amazing and satisfying (seriously so many games story fail at their wrapping up their stories now a days), and I think this game deserves even more love than it already has. One of my all time favorites still.
Agreed for once none of the character seems annoying, which would be a first in a Tales of, there is usually always at least 1 character I can't stand in all Tales of, but for this one they all seem at least decent.
@@Kage57 Nah honnestly he is one of my favorite, he can be seen as annoying only during Sidequest and Skit but his annoyance fit the character, as he is basically a noble put out of his zone of cumfort for the first time in his life, and is basically clueless on how to live by himself.
Was feeling uncertain by the theme+OP...but now, after listening to the JP for quite some hours and now this eng ver, I can safely say that I do not regret one bit preordering the collector's edition here in the EU, this theme is awesome and I'm quite hopeful the game is gonna be my fave for the year and possibly in my top for Tales of!

This was my very first tales game , I bought it around a week and a half ago and finished it today , there was not 1 second of the whole game that I didn't enjoy , it was visually stunning , the music was great and I loved the characters and I was really invested in them , alphen and shionne's relationship was so sweet and I love them
Something about this tales opening is just magical. It was my first introduction to anime styled games and now after trying a few more I gotta say that this game holds up and will always hold a special place in my heart for how cool and wholesome the story was.
It’s really cool that they divided the team into a “a team“ and “b team” here. Personally, I think the b team looks more interesting (if only because they are new haha) and I’m excited to learn how this new team dynamic shapes up

Check out Tales of Vesperia if you have the chance. Its a bit older but it recently got re-released on moderns systems. Yuri is easily in the Top 3 of the best Tales Protagonists. The Story takes ages to get going though.

@@liaw3166 Which makes it even better in my opinion. I loved when BoA did the English version for Graces, I wish we in the West would get more of the pure Japanese openings instead of dubbed ones, or if they're going to dub it at least try and get the original singers to do the dub.
