My condolences to you and family, and second a lot of people don’t realize once you lose a place in tv sitcom standing it will most likely they will never get a tv show again and if the try Amazon they will not stack well against Mass Effect tv show that’s in the works with Amazon. And I’m not saying this to be mean just stating facts.

I hope they turn the OG trilogy into movies. I think that works better for master chief compared to a TV series. I know the mandalorian worked as a TV series but he talks more than Master chief in Canon.
I don’t know. If they decide to do the movie route then they might not have enough time to tell the entire stories from each game.
Personally think they should follow in Fallout's direction and make an original story within the canon instead.
I disagree. They could make them almost three hours each and when you really think about it, cutting out most of the gameplay time will show you the stories aren’t really that long. We may not get as much detail but it could absolutely be done. They they could make each Lord of the rings book into one movie each then trust me, it can be done.
Actually, Chief talks a lot in the books, just not in the games, so if they follow the books in a tv series, it won't be an issue.
@@lorddoma6637 that's true. I think they would make him more like the games though since that's the chief most people know. But he would say more in a movie than games definitely. I would expect him to talk like he does in infinite which is a lot more than CE.

Here’s today’s society. Game developers sell us half finished games filled with bugs and glitches. Hollywood and others gives us unfinished series or series that on my last a couple episodes and scrap it. Like WTF???

it seems this is a common misconception but paramount isn't doing the show anymore, they are actively looking to find another studio to make a season 3, its not canceled canceled just on pause.
I can’t see any studio picking it up and continuing it. Maybe they’ll buy the rights but I doubt they’ll keep what was made. It’ll be way better to reboot

You have a point that something could be made without Master Chief. A movie about ODST would be spectacular. But all Halo material must include something fundamental: the militarism aspect that all of us fans love. Cut it with the unnecessary drama. Just having to survive as a race is dra enough.
I hope this is a warning to future adaptations. Don't make a tv show with a great story that is very beloved and just throw it in the shredder and pick out one of two stands and then write from there. I haven't seen the second season because the first one was so bad. Make it begin like the first game. it's a great story. don't add other characters that arent in, just expand on the current character. Never show Master chiefs face! just scrap the mess they made and start again. we waited 20 years for a show and that's what we got?!
The show failed because it was on that streaming service, no one pays for that. Shows need to be on more popular services in order to get the views they want.

I'd love to see the Rubicon Protocol book be adapted to either be animated or live action with people who care about the source material. That would be a pretty chaotic area, and it could show others who don't play the games where the Halo universe is at now. That'd be cool
I’ve been playing and following halo for 20 plus years now. This show was a straight up slap in the face to us long time fans.

It’s sad. But I fully agree.. reach was the last good thing about halo.. I still play infinite.. and I’m pretty good. I’m an onyx player. But I haven’t picked it up ever since xdefiant came out… 8 years it took to make halo infinite.. 8 years.. I’m sick of defending halo to my PlayStation bros.. saying halo is the most fun and skilled FPS EVER created… but idk about that anymore.
Christopher Nolan is rumored to have interest since he actually played a bit of the games and to do it on “Max” so we shall see, its a good sight a man of his caliber of directing and writing and experience with the games but we don’t know yet but overall a pretty good choice in my opinion

Amazon is a direct competitor so its likely not going to happen with Prime. The "dust settling" is likely a 5-10 year timelapse as this show is used for other shows on how not to do a video game adaptation. We're likely to see a better fan made adaptation before an official licensed show.
Maybe if it's animated with the best CGI I'd watch it.

It had the look sometimes and at very particular points it was... Cool... But the writing wasn't strong, the story direction wasn't great, the characters were shallow forms of what they were based on and the acting just wasn't great most of the time either. I'm glad this happen finally because I think 5 years down the line we need to have a redo done on the scale of Fallout and The Last of Us that shows you can be what the game are while still being a show. Fallout shows that you don't even have to follow a particular game which I do think a Halo show should be more like. No Master Chief, no Keyes, no established character as the mains, new and original, have reference easter eggs to them if you wish, have one show up for an episode, but don't be the main focus I feel.
I hate those stupid people who try to change the story just to give it their personal touch, and above all I hate the DAMN FORCED INCLUSION, that screwed up the series.
I'd love a halo show following Buck going from an ODST to a Spartan.

TBH I didn’t really want the show to end primarily because season 2 was on its way to redemption. If season 1 never existed and it started with season 2 I think we would all would feel a little better about the show. No doubt season 1 was a dumpster fire of a season but if they had continued the series and followed the Halo CE story for season 3 and actually used the huge amounts of source material available it would have been a season I and many others I believe would like to see.
I'm kinda disappointed that they canceled the halo series, at first I didn't really like it but I've started to grow into the halo series and I honestly started to like it and I was really curious whats going to happen on season 3 cuz the flood came back which I loved to see more
The problem with almost every video game or book based show that ends up tanking is that the writers want to inject every bit of themselves and the "for the modern audience" BS, while completely straying away from the existing story arcs and characters. That's what always kills it. The HALO/Masterchief storyline was already awesome...all they had to do was primarily stick to the main story arc. You could then sorta color outside the lines a bit to add extra characters, side stories, and flare...just not redraw the entire piece completely.

I’m really upset the show was canceled…as a person that’s never played the games I totally enjoyed this show I thought it was great but I do understand the ppl that have played them not being happy about it. Hopefully it will find a home elsewhere
I know it has been 2 years since the TV show premierd, but I think I just realised something, about the infamous Chief and Makee plot point. While I 100% agree it is awful and clear character assassination for Chief, I belive its possible that Makee originates from very early extended lore from the classic halo era. In the novelisation of CE ("Halo: The Flood") there is a female ODST named Melissa McKay, She fights alongside the chief, and at one point she even sees John outside of his armor. In a FEW LINES in the book, there are VERY, VERY SUBTLE hints that the Chief might have been interested in her. As he is escaping from halo In the longsword, "He thought about sargent Melissa McKay. The womans calm green eyes. He never had the chance to get to know her better."
I think what happend, is that the showrunners, read some of the books instead of looking at the games, and desperately looked for any traces of romance, this beeing the best they could lach on to. Turning MaKay, into Makee.
Show was a detriment to the IP. No other service should be picking up a show that needs a second soft reboot in its third season. Sentiment for the show is cheeks
After watching the Halo Show it just felt so limited for being live action. Live action felt like a holdover from the failed movie attempt. Imagine Blur Studios quality animated show.
I didn't bother watching the halo show because i knew it was going to suck and it looks like i was right... Halo 7 will suck too.
I do think that it’s not a bad idea to invest in live action Halo, but this show wasn’t it. It really made me wonder, with the rise of animation in the last several years why hasn’t Halo had another large scale animation project since Halo Legends? I can understand the want to make something original from a franchise but the attitude towards the effort is disrespectful to the existing fans of Halo. I grew up on Halo Legends and would love to see another effort at making Halo animations. Also ofc the show gets canceled when things are looking good with the introduction to the Flood. Hopefully something good can come from the cancellation to work on other media works for Halo.

I would love an animated show based off of the book Halo: Evolutions. Some of those stories were very good and would give us a break from the MC.

Rejoice. We don't need to be subjected to this bile any longer. It would make me so flippin' happy to see Neil Blomkamp come back and do a movie collection or multi season TV series.
I love the idea of an ODST story for the TV show. The vulnerability of the ODSTs would make them more relatable and better fit for carrying an emotional story. I also loved the forward unto dawns way of teasing and looking to the Masterchief for a few episodes and then having a cool payoff when he finally shows up, but the chief would still have this air of mystery to him and we would see his strength and power in contrast to the ODSTs we had been following for the rest of the time.
I love the idea of a live action halo series and there where parts I really enjoyed about the series I hope this isn't the end of live action halo indefinitely

There was a lot of effort put in to spite us, only a person who doesn't know the lore or wasn't truely paying attention would not notice that the show runners were sending a message to the fans. They actually did it in stages, first they took of his helmet, then stripped him naked, then made him sleep with the enemy, then killed him. That wasn't just incompetence, that was malice. So, I don't understand the sympathy for the show ending, I award them no points, and I hate them back.
This is no different than what is happening to Star Wars. Hollywood ignores the source material and the end result was forseen awhile back. First mistake, instead of going with the original Blue Team, they go with this 'Silver Team' crap. There after other mistakes follow.
I think my view how I liked the show is really interesting because I never played any Halo game. I think I am the standard not fan viewer. And I really liked it (besides Cortanas changing actress haha).
I think that is because it is a completely new story for me there and not something I have seen already. So I also didnt have any expectations on how characters are or look like.

There’s still a chance that the Halo series will get renewed by another streaming service for season 3. I would rather have that happen than have them completely stop production for the show. Having a total reset isn’t what I want to happen for the show. Yes there was certain things the creators could’ve done better but I liked the show for the most part. I hope it gets saved somehow and improves story wise.
I think halo needs to take a break until the gaming industry corrects itself. And 343 goes away. Then halo can return in a wave of nostalgia

Let's not forget how Master Chief always want to removed his helmet everytime in every scenes, then covenants ships are either stupid or dumb enough to five few salvo's in a 2 minutes engagement, where's in the books and games covenant ship are like moving battle stations that could absolutely butcher every humans ship in every fleet like a paper not until the humans reverse engineering Covenant-Forerunners technology.
