    Quick bit of advice for anyone going through hair loss...I understand it's a difficult experience but try to STAY STRONG. Everyone goes through something. There are people living without hands, legs, sight, hearing etc. One of my best friends died about 2 months ago and left 3 young children behind. I think about him every day. He died with a full head of hair...he'd be 36 this Saturday 5/25/19. Try to be thankful for every day you have air in your lungs. I dont mean to be so morbid but I know how easy it is to lose sight of the more important things when insecurities plague your existence. Hope this all reaches you well.

      His generation is the one notorious for toupees, terrible combovers, hair-in-a-can, balding rockstars in full wigs. I think more people today are willing to accept baldness and shave their heads, only really see older people with the thin combovers and miss-matched rugs.
      I'm not saying everyone accepts hair loss gracefully today but it's definitely not a new thing.

    Great advice. I would say though, you can try cheaper treatments such as rogaine, vitamins. Give yourself 6-12 months and see if there is any improvement, if it's sustainable long-term, if not then at least you tried. At the earliest stages preferably. Then you can kind of feel better about accepting it. I used to think toupees or hair systems were a joke, but some look pretty realistic these days, and worth considering if it helps your confidence. I just don't think it should always be shaved head, grow a beard, hit the gym.

    Too bad I can't relate to my father at all, because he's still rocking mature NW2 at 71, while my hair decided to retire at ripe old age of 22. GG, I took after my grandfather, because my mom was a balding trap. Middle brother avoided the curse, but eldest also got the short stick at genetic lottery. I only wish everybody (including myself) were more informed about this, I would have jumped on therapy earlier. Salvaged the situation to NW3, so it's kinda too much to full shave it, but also too small to fully rock back the juvenile look. Not complaining though, I'm 28, hardly a teenager so whatever. In the meantime I didn't neglect to educate myself, build career and learn manual skills. I can handle myself in life.

    This is so strange, but I feel like I’m living a repeat of most of what you and your dad are talking about here, I mean I’ve noticed I’m going bald, and it’s more at the front, and I have large widows peaks, but it’s thinning less so on top of my head... at the moment. My hair has always been long, and it’s still at a stage where it’s “concealable”, I’m in my final year of University at the age of 21, I also have a housemate, and friend of mine who is a year older than me who has already gone bald, and I’ve got to say he looks great! I can’t even imagine him with hair anymore!
    ...But It’s hard to imagine myself with no hair, I think I’ll still have it for a bit longer, as it it doesn’t look awful, I’m kinda attached to it, but at the same time I just don’t want to have to constantly be thinking about it anymore, and I think I’m starting to come to terms with the idea of shaving it all off in the next year or so!
    Thank you!

    It's easy to be so upbeat and dismissive when you can nail the bald look. For a lot of us suffering hair loss though, it's hard not to go through it without having to rethink every aspect of your visual identity, which does in fact matter quite a lot. This is only further aggravated by the extreme pressure the media imposes upon us.

    • @Baldcafe

      Do not be so quick to judge my friend. I did my time in the hair loss trenches. Those lows helped me get to where I am today. You can take a glimpse here. - ruclips.net/video/YFL9HZ9DxdQ/видео.html

      @masterexploder9668 3 года назад +1

      People saying that hair doesn't matter are lying. Obviously you can live and prosper without it, but it makes you look different, there is no doubt about it. Need to rebuild the perspective of yourself from the scratch, because in a sense, the way you looked before, that man, he doesn't exist anymore. Balding is also an ugly topic, because it usually doesn't happen to kids (there are exceptions and unlucky early guys) so it's a visible reminder of our aging and mortality, and a pretty obvious one. Something which current media focused on consumption and pleasure, avoid like plague. It's an ugly topic and models which are set to be prime examples of Homo Sapiens, won't suffer from various look defects which are common for average Joes. It goes for women too, and in a way, in even more nasty way, because a balding guy isn't that unusual, at some point happens to nearly everybody aside from few lucky chosen ones.

    was it not the pop music group Right Said Fred who popularised the shaven-headed look for bald men back in the early 1990s? I don't recall seeing it much before then other than amongst the far-right skinhead crowd.

    Great video, thanks. I had a great head of hair through my teens, 20s and 30s, although went grey in late 20s. Baldness is supposed to be inherited from my maternal grandfather (my premature grey was), but he had a good head of hair into his 40s (when, sadly, he died in an accident). My Dad died at 79 with a good of hair too, so I was expecting to have hair all my life. Sadly not; I started balding in my 50s and mine went at the crown. So now I still have hair at the top front, but getting very thin on top and especially at the back and crown. I've done the same as you and shaved the rest off (or have a Number 1 Buzzcut). Have to say you look great with the shaved head and beard - suits you very well. My partner shaves his too as he went bald young - we're now often asked if we're twins!

    Its not true there is nothing you can do about it. There is no cure where you can regrow your entire hair by taking one pill but there are definitely things that you can do about it to slow down the process.

    I have been thinking of shaving my head for s while now and although your channel is fantastic and shows going bald isn't important your Dad's take on it is so simple that I'm now 100% certain and confident my head will be shaved as soon as the weather gets warmer ( too white at the min) please thank him, would be great to have him do guest appearances in the future - 👍🏻

    My dad was bald and so are his brothers so I'm expecting to go bald as well. My dad had always been a man's man so to speak. He was charismatic, loving, selfless, a man of principles, and generally all about being aware and proud of what you are. Without being biased he was a handsome man and despite his baldness, his character made him the beloved and respected man that he was by his family, friends, colleagues and pretty much everyone who got to know him. I see similar traits in your father. Having said, your father really rocks his baldness. I have yet to experience any serious hair loss, but learning from my old man I do not dread it and it's really a matter of accepting it and just letting your character determine how people perceive you.

    One word - Redensyl. If you are in the early stages of hair loss this will maintain the hair you have, thicken the existing thinning hair and potentially re-grow some of the lost hair. This formulation is a revolutionary stem cell treatment, please do some research and I guarantee this will help.
