It is pretty funny how Kumiko basically gets involved in every single drama of the club by entering in the wrong room at the wrong time.

The relationship between Natsuki and Yuko is likeable. At first glance, they don't seem to get along, but deep down they know exactly what each other's personalities are like. When they talked each other, Natsuki instantly knew there was something Yuko hid from her attitude. On the other hand, Yuko didn’t ask for Natsuki's help because she understands Natsuki's very altruistic nature.
Yuko is actually very coherent. Her idea is that when a person made an effort then, the hard work should be paid off. That’s why it is naturally hard to see Kaori not to be able to compete in the ensemble last year, when the club was not based solely on their skills of an instrument to perform. It's not right that third-year students who hasn't worked hard should be in the competition while first-years who has worked hard cannot participate. In this sense, she couldn’t ignore how much Reina made an effort. That’s why, in the end, she said to Kumiko that the better player should play the solo part. The conversation showed she was not supporting Kaori by selfish reason, but she had an coherent opinion.

The thing with Asuka is that shes incredibly intelligent at deflecting/dodging serious questions or situations and also very good at manipulating people like in this episode how she manipulated Kumiko into making her more curious about Nozomi's and Mizore's relationship. How Asuka acts and behaves, theres a huge reason behind it and I cant wait for Caleb and Jacob to find that out in the later episodes.

I just saw this episode and noticed something. Orpheus in the Greek mythology was a poet and a musician who journeyed into the Underworld to bring back his dead wife. Taki was introduced in the first episode of the series listening to Orpheus in the Underworld. The story of the piece is slightly different from the original myth (more comical than the myth), but its a cool little detail.

This episode had some quite strange subtitles, I mean, they work, but take many liberties, like the "get good" or "godspeed" for "itterasshai" which you probably heard a million times, I would encourage you to check other subs, crunchyroll are fine for the most part. Also, you didn't get the final section of the talk with Yuuko: she began assuring she still thought she was right about Kaori deserving the solo, but in the end, she said something along the lines of "if we are serious, the better one would have to play", which contradicts her statement about Kaori, that's why she suddenly escapes from Kumiko and she does that stutter
