Unpopular opinion: Harry's relationships with Fred and George were amazing and way underused.
Megan Boyer I actually agree
I don’t think that your opinion is actually unpopular, I think most people would agree with you
I agree. Totally.
Sorry u misspelled popular

Unpopular opinions The Weasleys got screwed over in the movies. They either had barely any character development or was given only their bad traits or we don't see much of them.
Sharon Bingham YES, this irritates me soooo much
Sharon Bingham POPULAR OPINION: the movies fucked ginny weasley to hell and should never be forgiven
Or theyre invisible *cough cough CHARLIE*
omg YES. I know many people who literally hated Ron because of how he is in the movies. He was loyal, sweet and smart in the books, and then they made him the annoying dumb comic relief
The twins are fine tho
I’m mad that once Hedwig died they just forgot about her and no one really talked about her.
Her.
Hedwig's female.
Oof
Hedwig was supposed to resemble Harry's innocence so her dying was to show that Harry is growing up
I just read her passing and a few pages later, her name wasn't even MENTIONED!
IKR!!! Harry was like “oh my pet owl That I really loved and got for my birthday died. Anyway”
I love how this video is basically just Seamus screaming "UNPOPULAR OPINION" while the other two watch in concern as Seamus slowly loses his mind.
Lol my like made it 69
Oh no someone liked after me so its 70 ill unlike i need it to be 69
Oh no it’s still sevendy 😥😥😥
It’s at 946
Not so slowly 😃😃
I think the name Albus is pretty bad too. Harry's children are always going to feel overshadowed by him. Now, Albus Severus will be expected to live up to the greatest wizard of all time.
Trisha Reddy yea. And wut type of name is albums Severus
HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NAMED RUBEUS
I think Albus ahould've been named Remus Arthur or Rubeus Remus
Like cmon Harry, those three were great father figures to you, Snape bullied you and Dumbledore(who is totally a sociopath) used you as a stepping stone for his ego in many instances
OopDaLoop I think naming the kid after Regulus would have been a good idea if J.K. still wanted to include the Slytherin speech at the end of the book
I think, remus sirius potter as a boy and lily luna potter is fine! And I kinda like albus severus potter a bit. But, albus severus potter is still cute because. Snape protected Harry, saved him from remus as a werewolf, though poor sirius was guilty and snape tried to save the trio but didn't know that peterpettigrew was the bad one, saved harry from quirrel and way more but harry only knew he (snape) protected harry in all films, thought harry was the same as James. So he treated harry like trash but, he still liked harry but couldn't show it. Dumbledore protected harry aswell as snape. He made a few mistakes in his life like kill his sister, Arianna. And was master of death, but that was the past, dumbledore is a good guy and shown it at the beginning... here's proof: He could've left harry where his mother and father died but he didnt. Dumbledore showed he liked harry different as snape, Edit: proof for snape. 'Severus had a bad past as a child and teen... his mother and father fought and shouted at each other. Snape also got bullied by James as we most know, so, when lily died... dumbledore told severus to protect harry and snape did so. He risked his OWN life for Harry to fight until the end, what Lods of people don't know is that snape is a good guy.' Sorry this is so long! I like writing long names, it would still be weird though... this is all my opinion but I will carry on over a few days but more now if people don't agree with albus as a name here you go, WARNING THIS IS LONG!: 'As we know, dumbledore is a GOOD guy, and protected harry. Same as snape but albus percival Brian wolfric dumbledore actually showed his emotions against harry james potter. But as people know, albus percival Brian wolfric dumbledore wanted harry and everyone to have a normal year in chamber of secrets but since Lucius Malfoy slipped a book in Ginny's bag or I don't know what it was or it was a bucket thing. Anyways, back to the opinions. To prisoner of azkaban, dumbledore maybe knew sirius was good... maybe he just thought none of the staff would believe him. Goblet of fire, he didn't have a choice, but had to let harry do the tournament. Order of the phoenix, when S - sirius... died. Albus admitted it was his (dumbledore's) fault sirius died. Half blood prince, dumbledore drank the poison, he used his blood to get through, told snape to kill him (dumbledore) wow, that is meaning of good. And more examples for snape: HE RISKED HIS LIFE FOR A BOY OF THE GIRL HE LOVED! Like don't blame me, I would name my child's middle name sirius. O.o
UNPOPULAR OPINION
I don’t like the jobs selected for the trio.
Harry didn’t like fighting, he wanted a normal, quiet life. He enjoy teaching and always considered Hogwarts his home. He was a perfect teacher. And would have been ironic that he would defeat the curse on the Defense against the dark magic position as well.
Hermione would be a terrible minister. She tend to panic, is not good at dealing with people and she tend to be a bit too sure of her opinion, sometimes disregarding others. Just see what’s happen with the S.P.E.W. She would have been a lot better in the department that deal with other creatures. She would have done a lot of good there.
I think Ron would have probably gone to help George with the shop for some times, but that really wasn’t his vocation. I see him better fitted as an auror than Harry. He is clever and know his way around the magic world and he is good and loyal.
But nooo, they have to have supper upper work!! 🙄
I agree with you 100% on this. I always thought harry should have been the DADA teacher, but never considered the jobs of the other two. Those work way better.
Omg, you are so right! I complained to way too many people about this!
how could ron work with fred when he was dead like siriusly
I agree with you on all apart from Hermione because according to the actual book canon she did go to work in the departement of regulations and control of magical creatures. I like the cursed child but i dont think that it can be counted as actual harry potter canon as although JK Rowling was involved with it she did not write it.
You can have your own opinion though
Professor McGonagall I agree but apparently jk the “queen” said cursed child should practically be cannon
Also, here's a random thought: Harry could have named him Albus Rubeus or something, after Hagrid.
What about remus hagrid, kinda has a ring to it, and I think remus deserves name, The oldest is James Sirius, why not give another nod to the other maurader, but not Peter, oh no!
@@hyperfixationcentral6200 Lily Peter Potter what does it have a ring to it oof...
@@raiinefall but then you get rid of the only name ginny had a say in, Lily's actual middle name is Luna, which is a nod to her best friend, though she only got a middle name and harry named EVERYTHING else
@@hyperfixationcentral6200 I was making a joke and being sarcastic lol
@@raiinefall ........so, was, I.
Rowling didn’t want Hagrid to die because Hagrid was the one who carried Harry to the Dursley’s and Rowling wanted to carry Harry into the battle at the end after he was supposedly dead.
Have you by any chance seen the 50min conversation between her and Daniel Radcliffe? 😂
(If you got this info elsewhere and have no idea what I'm talking about ignore this comment 😳)
Jaspreet Digpal yeah I did watch it 😂
I don't remember what video or text I saw this from, but Rowling didn't kill off Hagrid mainly because her sister came in and begged her not to kill off Hagrid because that was her favorite character.
UNPOPULAR OPINION: It really annoys me that Harry didn’t name any of his kids after Hagrid. Like, he even names his kid after Luna, but Hagrid was his first proper father figure even before Sirius, and introduced him to the wizarding world. Like what?
Agree, though I don't mind Lily Luna as idk what else he would name his kid after his whole pattern with the other two. The only name I really have a problem with is Albus Severus. It should've been Albus Rubeus
Glossiergirly I mean Luna was good friends with Ginny do that always made sense to me
Actually, no. I researched into this and apparently naming Lily Luna Potter has nothing to do with Luna Lovegood. I'm sure many of you will disagree but Lupin is my favourite marauder and I was highly irritated to hear that there was no recognition for Lupin (Yes I know about Teddy but it would've been nice from Harry) However, Lily Remus Potter sounds weird and Luna is a name for Lunar, as in Moony which is a reference to.. Lupin. I mean it makes sense to me because I find it bizarre that Harry would randomly name one of his children Luna, even though she *was* an important character
I agree. But maybe it wasn’t Luna like Luna Lovegood. Because in Spanish “Luna” means “Moon” So maybe he named his kid after Lupin
@@garcia52ss Yes, I think in some way, Luna represents the moon, either in my context or in yours but I think we can both agree that it isn't meant to represent Luna Lovegood herself as that doesn't make any sense, especially with all the other people he named his kids after
I think Christian Coulson's performance as Tom Riddle in Chamber of Secrets was excellent, and he should have been cast as young Tom Riddle in other films as well, not just Chamber of Secrets (since Tom Riddle was recast by another actor). Coulson's portrayal was subtle, creepy, and mysterious, just as Tom Riddle should be. The replacement actor for him was too outwardly creepy, which makes no sense because Tom Riddle's evil-ness wasn't supposed to be obvious, since most people thought he was charming and didn't see how bad he was until he was too late. His role should have been expanded.
he probably didnt look as young by the time they had to film the sixth movie which is why they chose a different actor
@@nou257 yes, probably, but they should get at least someone that looks similar to him...the new one looks like an La rosa de guadalupe actor 😂😂😂😂😂
he was too old when the time came to shoot them, and the young riddle from the deathly hallows was 11 and the one in the chamber of secretes was 16 he would of been too old even if they shot the scenes at the same time
@@chloestar3933 They meant the 16 year old Riddle from the Half Blood Prince in Slughorn's memory.
Absolutely agree. The biggest thing is Slughorn's memory scene. Coulson would have played it like a kid who just looking at stuff to hypotheticals and academics, obviously hiding his true intentions. Whoever replaced him might as well have had a twitch in his eye and flicked his tongue like a sneeeek.
My unpopular opinions:
Percy and Draco deserved redemption more than Snape (Draco choosing to help Harry, Percy helping to save muggleborns using his position at the ministry)
Harry and Draco should've dueled to become master of the Elder wand.
Fleur Delacour is way too underrated
The Goblet of Fire is the worst spectator event
Slytherins should've fought at the battle of Hogwarts (I refuse to believe none did... Its the house of proving yourself)
Voldernort is a terrible wedding planner
Dumbledor is like Snape as in he is also a grey character.
Horace Slughorn fought in the battle of Hogwarts. Also some other ones probably did we weren't told about most of the battle of Hogwarts participants.
*Voldernort*
yaaaaaaaaaaaas
@@deleting6192 😅
I agree with you, but snape still needs his redemption because he is a good character
@@eeeeeeee6177 Agreed I just wish Percy and draco had been given that chance.
Unpopular Opinion:
Harry should not have become an auror. I mean, after all the trauma he had been though in his life, would he really want to make fighting more dark wizards his full time job? He had been though so much and I doubt that he would want to carry on fighting evil into his adult life. I think it would have been nice if he had become a stay at home dad and devoted his life to giving his children the happy childhood that he never got.
I don’t know this is my personal opinion.
umm
but you know Harry, if danger is near and he knows about it, he cant help himself.
also it was his childhood dream and from personal experience's IK that people just really like wish-fulfilment even if its no longer what they want (although they probs don't realise that until they do it). Also being an Auror gave Harry an easy way out as Kingsly gave everyone who fought (on the good side) in the battle of Hogwarts the option of becoming an Auror without completing their NEWTS and while Harry love's Hogwarts it would ave been too traumatic for him to go back so soon after the war.
Sanjali Bimb so well said!🙌🏻
yeah, also he was SO good at DADA! I mean there was so much proof and reason as to how good of a teacher Harry could have been.
I like that
I think he should of had ptsd
Okey:
Unpopolar opinion!!!!
* Harry should have not ended being an auror but a profesor of Defence againts the dark arts.
I MEAN Harry spended all the books complaining about his role as savior and he loved training the Dumbledore's army. I MEAN
I always thought he would end up as headmaster...
this isn't a popular opinion?
True because he was the best defense against the dark arts teacher with DA
Yeah thats true but the position is cursed and harry would have known that. Maybe he could have tried to get rid of it but tom riddle made it and I dont think that would be easy. Unless the curse died with voldemort at the end bu thats unlikely considering he was pretty much dead for a while and the curse was still happening.
Julio
I don’t think it was cursed after Voldemort died tho.
💙The Reason why Hermione isn't a Ravenclaw💙
Ravenclaw isn't just the smart house, it's when you get a problem you think outside the box to solve it. Hermione always uses logic while Luna always thought outside the box with things.
So Hermione shouldn't have been in Ravenclaw
Yeah!
Also, Hermione is ABSOLUTELY brave enough for Gryffindor and I'm kind of shocked that lately everyone's questioning that all of a sudden.
@@sashawiellette984 me too! I'm just like, you guys have it wrong.
That's very true, actually.
Plus from what I know of Harry Potter (which isn't a whole lot), Hermione will absolutely break the rules if she thinks that that's how to solve the problem. She has no major problem with it. She doesn't like it (necessarily) but she doesn't see it as being well and truly off the table at all times. I think people forget too that the houses are supposed to be sorted based on *values* not traits.
"- It's called the Ressurrection Stone
- It can bring back from dead?
- Not really. It just lets you talk to ghosts
- But everybody at school could do that
- It' kinda a piece a shit"
A Very Potter Senior Year
I guess it's special 'cos it let's you talk to ghosts of people who chose to move on? Even still, I find it annoying that it's literally the only one of the Hallows that just straight up doesn't work.
I agree with AdraicStarks. Also, it is mentioned in the "Deathly Hallows" (as far as I can remember) that the people Harry "summoned" using the Stone did NOT look like ghosts, but rather resembled the vision of Voldemort's teenage self in "The Chamber of Secrets". It DOES "work" in a way, although clearly NOT having the desired effect of literally returning a deceased person from the dead "for good". I can of course see how this frustrates a lot of people. :/
yesssss a very potter senior year i looooove starkid❤️
Umbridge was more evil than Voldemort, Voldemort cares about Harry's education and waits until the end of the school year to attack, even his Hogwarts self in Chamber of Secrets.

I've always thought that the 'Hermione should have done everything herself' opinion was directly because of the movies and how her character ended up being this huge feminist icon. She got a lot of the lines in the movies that Ron said in the books (mostly related to knowledge of the wizarding world) and her whole general demeanor was more self-assured and knowledgeable in the movies. Ron got sidelined and written off as a bit of an imbecile who shoves both food and his foot into his mouth all the time.
Yes! Thank you! Exactly!
I 1000000000000 percent agree exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ron is sooooooooooooooooooooo underrated in the movie. He is just the one who eats a lot. But Ginny is more underrated.
MogamiKyoko13 I think the weasleys were given the short end of the stick in the movies in general
TOTALLY !! in deathly hallows ( book ) ... harry was the one who jumped on the dragon not hermione
Definitely! Ron is so underrated in the movies, and they wrote him as the stupid, clumsy one who just cared about food. Ginny was underrated too, she had a lot more sass and power in the books. In the movies, she’s just Ron’s little sister and Harry’s love interest. She’s more than that in the books.
Harry is incredibly underrated people are like" Harry so annoying he's mean to Ron and Hermione through the entire Order of the Phoenix" but these people seem to forget that Harry was 15 had already fought Voldemort five times and was under an incredible amount of stress
3 times
I agree
I am reading it right now..... he's mean like that through the entire book?
And Harry is underrated cuz ppl think he’s overrated. I’m a 15 year old girl and I relate to Harry like I have anger issues and if I saw a person I knew die (Cedric diggory) technically because of me, I would push everyone away from me to ensure their safety
lunar love and lots more no not really, there are moments he’s okay
I have a secret to tell you JUST NOCK OFF HARRYS GLASSES HE CANT SEE WITHOUT THEM! THERE YA GO VOLDEMORT
Anonymous YT it’s that easy like, just yoink his glasses
Harry could have just snatched voldy's wand
well, he could have expeliarmus’d the glasses, but Harry would probably accio. But, he still needs to get his glasses on, so Voldemort, being the noble war criminal he is, would let Harry put them on, but he never does because this is Voldemort’s weakness, being polite. So, Harry sends the expeliamus spell onto Voldemort, who blocks it before using avada kaLiterallyDieHarry, but Harry’s glasses reflect it into Voldemort, basically repeated what happened when Harry was born. So then, all of the death eaters appear like ‘what the hell, again?’ And start to murk dumbledore who is there for some reason. The author realises he is making his first fan fic and hagrid’s pets, Aragog, Norbert, fang, buckb- I MEAN witherwings and those blast ended skrewts to kill them. Suddenly, an Engorgo’d crookshanks crushes half of the death eaters white hermione and Ron with popcorn outside, wondering why this is all in the chamber of secrets, but isn’t complaining. Suddenly, epic music plays as draco says ‘you killed my father, so I will kill you!’ Shouting at a disgruntled aragog, who had just turned macnair to noodles with extra sauce.
Lestrange decides to shoot Harry, who is contemplating life for the tenth time this term, but Harry still has his wand and actually does a cold cruciatus on Bellatrix, before killing her. Then Neville appeared. He fucking kills them all the end.
Not really, because snake gives Harry a detention, and Umbridge suddenly shows up and is eating cheese. This cheese is actually the philosophers/sorcerers stone and she has immortality as long as she has cheese. Harry drinks a luck potion and kills the cheese. Umbridge dies of old age, but then slughorn blackmails cedric’s corpse into punching Ron, making everyone very sad. Harry kills slughorn, the end of
HARRY POTTER AND UMBRIDGE’S CHEESE
ACIO GLASSES!!!
@@jamespotter6889 being honest I have no idea of why I wrote any of that
Felt like it was funny at the time, and come on there’s just no logic here
I quote, “SLUGHORN BLACKMAILS CEDRIC CORPSE INTO PUNCHING RON, MAKING EVERYONE VERY SAD.”
WHAT WAS I ON?
*UNPOPULAR OPINION* (which I'm sure is very popular and you guys did touch on a bit in the video): I really wish that hufflepuff and ravenclaw played a bigger part in the series. Yeah I get that Slytherin and Gryffindor are supposed to be the main houses but Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff I feel get looked over so much and are underdogs of the series. The only time ravenclaw is important is when harry had to find the diadem. (I am working on reading the books tho so if anyone yells at me I am working on it!!!!!!!!)
Agreed! They deserved more spotlight
same but then again they don't because Harry himself doesnt really talk to any ravenclaws or hufflepuffs the few being Luna Cedric and Cho. if the series was written from, lets say Ginny (who spent more time with those house members) or someone else then they would have played a bigger part
zainab that’s true. Ravenclaw and hufflepuff were kinda irrelevant to him and they didn’t really play a major part to the story/plot in general. Except for maybe Cedric and Luna
Well, there is Luna and Cho for Ravenclaw and Cedric for Hufflepuff, but that's basically it.
Yhh but now everyone's like " hufflepuff and ravenclaw are underrated" and i barely see anyone even mentioning gryffindor anymore..
I'm sorry but Hermione and Harry could have never worked. It is made clear that Harry does not enjoy having just Hermione to hang out with, his time with her when she and Ron are fighting is described as "much more time spent in the library and much less laughter"
Yeah. Besides they're more like brother and sister than lovers
It's not just that, it's their whole rapport. Hermione is Harry's confidante, and he values her as a friend, but he never sees her as a romantic interest. His comments about Cho and Ginny are much more passionate than his thoughts about Hermione, whom he is very comfortable with and loves very much but lacks any sort of romantic feelings for.
Malcfoy However, J.K Rowling started the whole book knowing that she would put Hermione and Ron together so if she wanted Harry and Hermione, the whole book would be different.
Romione is ew but harmony doesn't work and dramione also doesn't work in my opinion
Harry and Hermione would never work because Ron and Harry would never be friends and Harry would never be a aloud to the burrow because Ron,Harry and Hermione would argue so much Voldemort would of taking over and everyone would of died

HOLY CRAP YOU SAW MY COMMENT!
Um, maybe it's because I agree with the vast majority of your unpopular opinions and I had no idea they were unpopular.
I find that even though Harry deserved to have a long life of peace after what he’s been through, it would have been interesting to see him die and Neville end Voldemort
okay jkr kinda has a sad meaning behind why harry didn’t name any of his kids remus and that was because he wanted to save that name for teddy to name his kids after his father
YOU BROKE ME now I need to watch more Seamus
wow didn't know that! interesting detail but heartbreaking at the same time
Luna means "moon" so maybe harry was making a reference to Remus?
@@annikahansoncarlson7988 it does, but i think he meant Luna Lovegood
The only acceptable reason for not giving Remus to any of his kids.
He should have named one of them after Hagrid and Arthur.
i really dont like the fact that voldemort was "thanos snapped". I feel like melting or something else would've been cooler.
Or he could have just died normally in like in the books
Newt Scamander I see ur point newt, I was just think on dramatic ways to go
Vixen’s Ashes ah, makes sense
I actually love the way its done in the books. Cause it shouws that in teh end he did nit defeat death, he is nit special but a human being and especially i liked the imagery of his body lying apart from all the others with noone that cried over him or felt his loss, just instantly forgotten
He....he isn't the wicked witch of the west you know.....
That title goes to Umbridge....
Snape was a bad person on the good side, but an amazing character
You put it into words
Yes!
Yessssss
I think he was a good person that lived through really hard times, and I think that his treatment of students came from his own experiences as a student and from his fear of being found out by Voldemort. In DH, he had to be terrible to them, or Voldy would be suspicious(I'm also just a very forgiving person when it comes to book characters)
Yeeeeessss! I 95% agree
Yes! Ginny is better in the books, Ron is better in the books(and is underrated because Rupert Grint isn't as good looking as Emma Watson), and Dramione is only a thing because Tom Felton and Emma Watson are quote-unquote " attractive" ( I mean attractive is really more about opinion but like conventionally attractive)
I thought the sorting hat sorts you in a house based on what you value most, not your personality.
That's a Super Carlin Brothers theory that I agree with but I'm not sure it's 100% canon
Avital Lichtenfeld Wow I totally forgot it was a theory 😂
I've always thought the Sorting Hat sorts people based on a lot of factors, like values, personality, family dynamics (how would family react), potential (where would they grow the most), preference, etc.
which is lowkey worse
Blue Ocean it does
6:22 honestly this triggers me the most. Your House is not determined by your personality but by your values.
"It's not what our abilities Harry, it's our choices." Or whatever Dumbldore said in chamber of secrets.
ohhhh i get it now lmao
YES... I hate it when people say Hermione should have been in Ravenclaw
UNPOPULAR OPINION:
Draco's character could have been developed more and he should have been given a bigger character arc. We should have had a scene where harry and draco fight (talking) and draco shouts out of the spur of the moment about the pressure of his dad or some shit and we should have seen the vunerable side of him.
UNPOPULAR OPINION:
Harry should not have died in the forest and come back he should have died at the same time as voldemort during the final battle and stayed dead so he would have died with voldemort and the last scene could have been how he is now with his parents, sirius, fred, dumbledore, lupin and everyone who died for the greater good. (everyone who harry loved)
UNPOPULAR OPINION:
draco should have killed the snake showing that he regrets his decisions and saving ron and hermionies life along with throwing harry his own wand (WHICH WAS CUT OUT OF THE MOVIE WTF) and showing the whole time he didn't want to do what he did but he had no choice. He should have been at kings cross with the trio and they should have become maybe friends.
100℅ ᴀɢʀᴇᴇ
You REALLY want Draco to be a tragic character don’t you?
draco honestly deserved a redemption arc more than snape
Agreed! I actually liked Draco as a character, and he could have been so much more developed. Although I'm not sure how I feel about Harry coming back, I think it wouldve felt more complete as a story of he had died, but in doing so had made Voldemorts soul vulnerable and everyone in Hogwarts (including Draco) finished him off at once. But I do kind of like how it ended, too; it works in its own way.
In response to your second suggestion, what about Diggory?
I love chamber of secrets for so many reasons:
it felt like there was more danger and mystery than the first one
it set up Ginny and Harry's relationship
it introduced dark history of Hogwarts from before Voldemort (salazar slytherin)
it introduced deeper blood racism in the wizarding world with Malfoy
Ron stood up to Draco for Hermione (gryffindor and developing relationship)
the movie had a fantastic actor for the new teacher
the basilisk in the movie was incredible between the puppetry and a bit of cgi that still holds up, unlike the first movie
we were exposed to pieces of horcrux with both the diary and Harry talking to snakes
I love the Chamber of Secrets too becuase lf Dobby. The first time I reread it I cried when I read the last thing Harry said to Dobby "Never try to save my life again."

Too soon.
Its Lily Luna cuz one of Ginnys best friends was Luna, i mean it wasnt just Harrys opinion for rhe names
I’ve heard it was because of Lupin as he was nicknamed ‘Moony’ and Luna is another word for Moon.
Let's just say both Ginny and Harry decided luna for Ginny friend luna Lovegood and Harry friend Lupin/Moony
Since luna is moon and luna works for luna lovegood and lupin
Joseph 6209 I heard that to I don’t know if it’s true tho ?? 🤔
Luna means moony in latin
I think that Ginny should've gotten a bit more say in the names. But I also think that if she REALLY wanted to, she would have.
If Emma Watson had not played hermione, no-one would ship harry and hermione
sonu razi
Wait.......what?
sonu razi very true
True!!! Only Hinny
True
I shiped them before I watched the movie tho
I think it would have really been interesting if Ron ended up with Luna, just because he defines himself too much about Hermione as the Minister of Magic. I mean Ron always wanted to stand out in his family, but doing this by being married to a famous woman is not the ending I would have liked for Ron. I mean what does he even do, he works, yeah, but in their marriage Hermione seems to be the dominant part. In the books Hermione helps him so often, I would have liked a relationship for him that let him be more independent. A job that stands out among his friends, just something different than Harry and Hermione.
I dunno about this. Ron was loved by his family and friends, even though he didn't stand out as much as he would have wanted to. Maybe that's a good thing in his character development : in the end he learns he doesn't need to try and stand out and he's loved for who he is. Also, marrying someone else just so he can stand out more, or not marrying Hermione because it wouldn't make him stand out enough, would be pretty lame.
Besides he's like a war hero (one of the 3 biggest heroes) so no matter what his job is I think he'd get enough recognition in the wizarding word anyway.
I mean.. I just wish they had given his character a more fitting ending. Ron was a good person, a smart and nice guy and he was really brave. I hate the way he has been portraits in the movies, they just ruined his AND Hermione characters and disintegrated the reasons way their love story was so relatable and just genuine.
A real pity.
I actually think that works
Really well
Never thought of it before, but it would work much better.
That's something to think about. I never really considered it before, but it might work really well.

*MR. POTTER I DON'T FEEL SO GOOD*
Seamus, you just birthed a theory in my head, what if wizards can't come back as ghosts if they were killed with the killing curse? Because the killing curse is technically sucking the persons soul into the wand that cast the spell, thats why all Voldemorts latest victims came out in ghost form from his wand. The explanation to how Harry survived the killing curse is that Voldemort took the piece of his soul instead of Harry's. Also try and name a single known ghost who died by the killing curse?
That has terrifying implications that I love thinking about.
FINALLY!! AN EASY WAY TO EXPLAIN WHY HARRY POTTER LIVED
very good theory. I love it!
Harry lived because at that point he had all three Hallows and was the Master of Death
Your theory poses further questions. What happens to the souls? Are they stuck in limbo? Do they retain consciousness and perception of the outside world? We know James, Lily and Dumbledore did. Besides, I doubt any wand or spell existing that is powerful enough to suck out a soul. Also, that renders the whole point of the fear behind the Dementor's Kiss pointless. The Killing Curse should also, then, make any victim brain dead, an empty husk, "worse than dead".
When the Killing Curse is used, Death approaches the victim so quickly that they do not have the time to properly contemplate whether they are really, really afraid of dying or not, so that they are forced to come back as ghosts. A slightly prolonged death allows that. Besides, I like to believe that we are going to have a lot more ghosts at Hogwarts, post- 2nd May, 1998, many of which had suffered the Killing Curse.
I think the the reason why Voldemort acted so stupid with the horcruxes is just because he was so proud and I think that fits with his character.
Yup I agree. I mean he's not gonna put his soul in an old random and unremarkable item, like beer can or sumthin, and burry it in the deepest of an Albanian forest. He's going to put his mark on the items of three of the freakin founders of freakin Hogwarts, just because he can !

Dumbledore was a PRANKSTER! He totally pranked the school by hiring Gilderoy Lockhart! Dude that should be the most viewed Prank video on RUclips.
The name Gilderoy Lockhart itself is a joke.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!!
Book Granger is much more relatable and realistic than the sexualized, "unstoppable bad bitch", movie batting garbage depiction of truly intelligent (& definitely nerdy) woman.
Yes, I effing said it! And I know people are going to have a hissy fit but I also am fire blazing angry about what they did to Ron! BOOK Ron's traits were given to MOVIE Hermi-own-ninny. It is super annoying!
Emma Watson is amazing but I agree that the movie script messed up the characters
I don't understand a word you just said
Unpopular opinion: Percy Weasley should've totally died.
Also: Arthur Rubeus Potter, you were named after two men who became like fathers to me without it serving them any purpose at all, just out of the goodness of their hearts.
Dude, Harry and Ginny probably named their daughter Lily Luna because Luna is one of Ginny's best friends. Harry's not the only one who gets a say in what they're named.
Not only that, but Luna in latin means Moon or Moony, so its an honour for Remus aswell
@@azzahraa_h I didn't even think of that, but that's so true! Thank you for that!
Marooney B No problem :)
@@azzahraa_h Yep it was definitely for lupin and I've already commented saying that and it was kind of obvious seeing how J.K Rowling used lots of Latin words in her Harry potter series
Im a Proud Hufflepuff UwU actually Luna in Latin means moon but moony means CRAZY FOR THE MOON they are slightly different things but it still has a difference which makes it no sense to give the name Luna after lupin. It’s clear that they named her after Luna lovegood, especiallybecase she was one of Ginny’s best friends
Actually, fun fact, one of, if not the most powerful wizard of all time, Merlin, was a Slytherin. She should have said that somewhere in the books or movies and not just on pottermore, but that is somebody that is good in Slytherin. Also I thought that in the books Luna was hilarious
Dramione exists because there’s this Cliche about the smart bookworm and the bad boy falling in love
Lina Song ikr, I hate that ship
+Lina Song
Possibly also because Emma Watson had a crush on the Malfoy actor whose name I've forgotten.
I hate that ship so much.
I remember when I first read the books as a child I was low-key into dramione and looking back at it it was only because I'd been introduced to that cliche. However can't really stand the ship now. It always feels too ooc for me to get into it.
Marie Lastname his name is Tom Felton
JK Rowling being problematic isn´t unpopular , at this point I think majority of fandom realize that especially after she started to add things to books that "have beenpart of them all along" without actually writting anything in books
She just informed that it’s canon that you are now a chair in Hogwarts
The house elves are overpowered one reminds me of "A Bug's Life." Wizards are the grasshoppers, and house elves are the ants. The house elves just need to realize that they ARE more powerful.
Unpopular opinion:Harry should have named his son Albus Remus or Lupin Potter he should have name one of them after Remus Lupin
I’m pretty sure Harry wanted to let Teddy carry on Remus’s name, but he totally should’ve named his kid after Fred or Moody (although I guess Alastor isn’t a great name) or someone because there are so many people who died for Harry or the war cause.
Actually Lily Luna Potter
Is named after lily of course and lupin since lily luna is a girl they have to genderbend the name moony so luna.
Wolf Blizzard stop lying to yourself the Luna is for Luna Lovegood
@@gabrielasabel i actually found it from somewhere else and i was shock about it im not lying to myself
it kinda make sense to me actually
luna is genderbend of moony of course there is also luna lovegood understandably ginny could have name her that because luna is her best friend and all
Gabi Rivera Remus Lupin
Unpopular Opinion: Hermione Granger is the most overrated character in the fandom and I believe it's because of the film portrayal/Emma Watson. Book Hermione is a bit unlikable.
Book Hermione is more realistic and relatable to me. She is a true nerd. She confines in her books because knowledge is power, strength and comfort to her. She is punished by her peers & teachers (Snape) for having such intelligence. She faces setbacks & even cruelty for it. For me, when she put her hand down, red with tears on the ground for answering Snape's question, I immediately could relate to her. It broke my heart & I completely sympathized with her. When it came to S.P.E.W., she meant well but it showed that sometimes she can be a bit headstrong. Her heart & mind are in the right place but she doesn't quite understand how overbearing & bossy she can be. She's not a bad person, she has insecurities & flaws like any other person.
I agree that book Hermione is more realistic and relatable. Movie Hermione is a Mary Sue in my eyes and I can't stand her at all.Reading the first few books as a kid Hermione was actually my favorite. I was a socially awkward bookworm too and couldn't really relate to the boys. However, as an adult re-reading the series my opinion changed on quite a few characters. I'm not saying Hermione's a bad person, I just didn't like her personality. She was too condescending and vindictive at times and I wish that her character had developed a bit differently. What bothered me most is how J.K. Rowling tends to justify Hermione's negative actions and behavior, especially compared to the boys. And this may actually be a problem I have with Rowling as a writer more so than Hermione as a character.Hermione has flaws, makes mistakes and is sometimes awful to other people, but she never really has a moment where she is forced to apologize or acknowledge it. Meanwhile, Harry and Ron both made mistakes where the readers know they're wrong and the boys are forced to acknowledge it. I ended up liking the boys a lot more than her this time around for that reason and so it frustrates me when a lot people act like Hermione is perfect and the boys are useless.
Um, I love book Hermione!
I like book hermione and movie hermione but I think that's because I love Emma Watson
Unpopular opinion: Movie!Hermione is a Mary Sue.
Agree.
@Roddy Huckle Well, Mary Sues usually are, aren't they.
I have always liked the idea that Harry and Neville were both the “chosen one.”
Also, Prisoner is my favorite but I don’t think it’s the best. I’d say Goblet or HBP is the best.
The thing with Voldemort is that, yes he hid his stuff in dumb places but because 1) he didn’t think anyone would figure out he had 7 and 2) J.K Rowling did this on purpose to show Voldemort’s arrogance that he thought he was immortal and that he didn’t think anyone stood a chance
Yeah, but even when his first few Horcruxes got destroyed, he didn't put them to safety...
Also Voldemort was someone pretty parano, I feel. It's weird he didn't hide them better. Or even, actually, he only took items that had a real meaning or by pure arrogance, but then he leaves them at "random" places ? Or even give them to people ? It seems really weird to me. That's not the kind of people he was built to be.
There are eight horcruxes
Bubbling Waffle If he went to move the Horcruxes he risked revealing their location.
Ukulele Covers By Me he only deliberately made 7, which would therefore be the only ones he would consider when planning The logistics of keeping them save.
Unpopular Opinion: Chamber of Secrets is amazing because of Gilderoy Lockhart

Snape literally had no problem with baby murder so long as it wasn't the kid of his crush. That's a BAD GUY!! Heck its arguable that if Harry could have been killed without Lily sacrificing herself, he'd have been fine. He just knew she'd die for her son.
People love to romanticize my head of house. Neville Longbottom's greatest fear should maybe be something like...o idunno, Bellatrix Lestrange!!!
But his greatest fear is a teacher he lives in the same castle with. Not a good look Half-Blood Prince.
Well he was a death Eater and changed sides cause of harry and it’s a freaking story!
It's not even arguable, snape literally begs Voldemort to spare lily in exchange for her son
@@minerlady140 He didn't change sides because of harry, he changed sides because Voldemort killed Lily

WHO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT T-
Am I the only person who thinks that Hermione is overrated by the fandom? I mean don't get me wrong I LOVE Hermione, but people think that she's like the best person in the world and Harry and Ron are useless, when she's actually pretty annoying and can be rude
Thank you! I'm not alone! I re-read the books for the first time in years and I really didn't like Hermione very much. She frustrated me quite often.
Thought I was the only one
Agree. Even if she is one of my favourite characters, but she is Overrated.
I think the fandom tends to overlook a lot of her flaws. She was a really smart and generous friend but she could also be incredibly prideful, petty and close-minded when it came to those that had different thoughts to her (like Luna)
I think it’s because the movies removed all of her bad traits
I love Chamber of Secrets, I'll join that fandom. Also, Seamus, please stop attacking Luna. SHE IS THE MOST PURE AND WONDERFUL AND BEST HARRY POTTER CHARACTER, I LOVE HER SO MUCH, SHE IS INCREDIBLE AND NOT ANNOYING AND WORTHY OF THE LOVE OF THE WHOLE HARRY POTTER FANDOM
Summer Lovegood he was the one that said he liked her, it was Sophie who said she was annoying
Luna is one of my favourite characters, and all of those things that you said about her are true. But much like Harry and Hermione, I WOULD get impatient talking to her.
Percy should have been a Slytherin but he was in Gryffindor because he thought he was a Gryffindor. He saw Gryffindor as the house of the good guys and considered himself to be a good guy.

I think Harry always feels like he has to do everything on his own because he has to live like that up until he went to Hogwarts
Yes! He was raised to believe that not because he was so selfish or stuff (some people think the reason why Harry wanted to go alone is bcuz he was selfish even though he’s not). Plus, thats the reason he rarely opened up his feelings because in the dursleys, they just dont care.
The theory of people shipping Dramione purely because Emma Watson and Tom Felton are ‘the most attractive cast members’ actually makes so much sense. I don’t like Dramione but idk how I hadn’t thought of it that way before. Essentially they should be shipping Emma and Tom instead (actually no that’s hella creepy and too far). But I think if the movies didn’t exist it would be a lot less popular as a ship.
Yeah it makes sense, though I think shipping the "bad boy" and "nerd girl" is also a trend that explains it
Like bad boys are sexy or sumthin
I know, right?! Dramione doesn’t really work, there’s no evidence that they like each other, and to be honest, why would they? People ship Emma and Tom rather than Hermione and Draco, but they wouldn’t like to say it because, as you said, it’s hella creepy.
The Girl Who Lived idk..... i think there is a lot of evidence.... i think they work, there’s just so much chemistry.... idk i’m a Dramione shipper anyway
can someone who ships this explain it to me? because i literally just cannot piece together evidence for this to make sense in my head
Grey Bands what chemistry there is no chemistry. OH do you mean those times Draco called the wizard equivalent of a RACSIT SLUR. OR do you mean that time Hermione punched Draco in the face

Honestly, I was always waiting for Cho to come around and redeem herself. A Cho who learned from her mistakes and came to believe in Harry is who Harry should have ended up with, especially considering how long Harry moons over her in the books. And it would have mirrored Harry's struggle to get the wizarding world on his side. Instead, JK choose to have Cho always let Harry down, when she could have taken the time to develop a really complex & deep relationship, if she wanted to include a romance (and she definitely didn't need to). To me, that's what I hate most about Ginny; the Ginny-Harry romance always seemed so forced to me, when you consider how little time is spent on it in a 7 book series. To me, it always feel like they got together because 1. She was there 2. She already had feelings for Harry. I honestly don't know what Harry sees in her; she could have never been mentioned again after book 2 and I wouldn't have missed her.
DragonSailorZero I replied to someone else's comment with this point: Hinny is a good power dynamic. Knowing Harry, he'll do much better with someone who has a more dominant personality, like Ginny has. However, Cho may have provided a good balance for Harry. It's harder to speculate on that because we, unfortunately, did not get to see a recovered and reformed Cho. It would have been more gratifying because of how much we hear about her (starts in PoA I think?) and it would have brought someone new into the Weasley family the way Bill did with Fleur. And we know that no matter whst, Harry would be part of the Weasley family regardless of if he married Ginny.
Unpopular opinion:
Harry should’ve ended up as a professional quidditch player
You know I give up why does everyone hate Ginny and Harry. Because if Harry and Hermione would ever end up together Voldemort would win the war because they would of won because Harry and Hermione would of got no where without Ron

Unpopular opinion! Neville should have ended up with Ginny
Only in the movies half and half for me. Ginny wasn't really a character in the movies. I like her in the books WAY better
Why, I think Ginny and harry were really good for each other, and Ginny was strong mental wise, and that could balance out Harry's completely destroyed mental state after the battle of Hogwarts
In the movies Neville and Luna are the best no homo
YES
YES Neville and Ginny and DRARRY
The thing about Percy being a Gryffindor and not a Slytherin is mostly because a Slytherin wouldn't come back to his family. You need bravery to go back.
Mary Ravenpuff I feel as though some might, because just being in Slytherin doesn’t exclude them from family love. Perhaps they would have just found another way to rise in the ministry, without upsetting either party.
Slytherins are also brave, they just will (in slughorn’s words)- “save their own necks, they do not always rush in for glory”.
Mary Ravenpuff Yeah, and its not that he is a bad character, he wasn't necessarily evil. We, the readers just didn't like him because he hurt the Weasleys. I kinda liked him at the end of DH, when he came back.. He just feels like more of a background character.
Slytherins are often more concerned with family ( if only because family is the source of most people's wealth and social status ). And while not every Slytherin comes from a wealthy, influential, pureblood family, we all value family. Family can be security and that's something we like having a sense of.

I feel like the reason Harry doesn’t want others to help him out or be with him on his journey is because he grew up without anyone close to him or even remotely kind to him from age one to eleven, so he was used to being alone, and didn’t crave to be helped because he wasn’t ever offered help so he just is so used to being alone that he doesn’t want the people he cares about to be hurt, and is fine with being alone, okay, not FINE, but he’s used to it.

I have a little theory that Harry did actually kind of name one of his kids after Remus Lupin. It is common knowledge that all the Marauders had nicknames and Remus’ was Moony. Luna is another word for Moon or Moony. Therefore Lily Luna is not only named after Luna Lovegood, but also Lupin!
