    I agree with you completely on your opinion of LGBT representation. Like Dumbledore, I don't need to tell people my sexual identity or orientation. I'm pansexual but I don't NEED to tell people. I also don't think it was needed to be discussed per your observations of what Harry's childhood would have probably been like.
    I also have an unpopular opinion on Kreacher being my favorite house elf. I think he has a much deeper story arc then Dobby or Winky and his Redemption is so much more fulfilling for me in how he let the house-elves into battle. I also get very upset that he's not really in the movies as much as he is in the books. Also very upset that winky isn't in them

      I also like Kreacher, I hate that he was left out of the Battle Of a Hogwarts, but us book readers know how much he changed! 🙂

    I’ve always found Harry to have so many slytherin traits (he’s super cunning and ambitious throughout the series) so I feel like he would actually fit in slytherin amazingly. If he was in slytherin we’d also get to see the whole Harry vs Draco situation differently. Would they end up being friends or would the beef get worse? Who knows.

      i don't think harry and draco could have been friends, since draco reminded him so strongly of dudley, and everything he hated about the dursleys. i think harry would never want to be friends with him.

    • @sanjoykumardas4018
      @sanjoykumardas4018 3 месяца назад

      In NO WAY would Harry and Draco EVER be friends! the ONLY reason that Malfoy even tried to be 'friends" with Harry was because he was the Boy who Lived. So, Harry being Slytherin wouldn't change that fact.

    I have to say I disagree with you about the LGBT+ comment you made. A lot of people complain about LGBT+ representation when it comes to Harry Potter specifically has to do with a comment that J.K. Rowling made dealing with Dumbledore's sexuality. The thing the author of Harry Potter brought it into the conversation. She was the one who brought up sexuality in regards to a character that is not Canon in the book or outside works including the movies. Believe me when I read the books I imagined people with different gender identities and sexualities than most people probably do. My problem is the author wants credit for being inclusive when it's not canon and continues to make the claim. Just my opinion.

    • @sanjoykumardas4018
      @sanjoykumardas4018 3 месяца назад

      Yeah. I just find it disgusting how people can ship them. Hermione absolutely has no connection with Malfoy. He literally was getting a kick out of the idea of her being harassed! It's idiotic to think that Hermione would even LOOK at him that way!

  • @inuplic108
    @inuplic108 5 лет назад +16

    opposites may attract but no way they would've been perfect together. i respect all opinions and shipping stuff like that but draco literally abused her and he wanted her to dIE, rowling said draco had a minor crush on her for a small bit (probably in third year but it ended) i think but he literally bullied her all of their school years, most of his life (except when he grew up and tried to stop being a dick). he didn't abuse her physically but he emotionally wrecked her and he wanted her to die... in the second book he literally said he wanted her to be next to become the victim of riddle. don't get me wrong if you look at my profile, i do ship drarry. this is a fact, dramione AND drarry are toxic relationships. if dramione were to ever happen i do believe it would be to cringey and a bit abusive towards words. also rowling would never do any ships that would distract readers/watchers from the main character. drarry would just be too toxic, (also for dramione) there would be trust issues, it would be to uncomfortable and they can't just go from rivals to lovers all of a sudden it would also be a whole lot of cringe. hermione deserved ron i believe their romance in the books were absolutely perfect, i also ship hermione with a lot of people (probably except draco) but romione did well. harmione would also be a good couple but i think ginny was a good fit, she was stable for harry and could tolerate him.
    the thing i dont like the most is rowling
    there goes my rant about dramione and drarry

    Definitely Draco and Hermione would have been perfect, opposites attract. I think Harry and Luna would have been great together too, she would lighten his serious side.
    I agree, the LGBTQ+ community didn't need to be represented in a book about 11yo+ school aged wizards and witches, maybe if it was all written about once they were grown up they would have had LGBTQ+ friends and family they would have acknowledged but it wasn't necessary to add back stories after the fact.

      draco and hermione were opposites? i never noticed. the only thing that was opposite about them was that hermione was kind, draco was not, hermione was open-minded, draco was not, and hermione was muggle-born while draco was a blood supremacist. basically, draco was a dick, hermione was not.

    Slytherins deal with sorrow, fear, abuse and trauma different ways than the other houses, we revenge, snape wanted revenge on James so he did it in the most painful way possible by bullying his child, when others hurt us or our family we make them pay and that is what Snape did, he got his revenge but in the end he wasn't evil or bad he did protect Harry and hogwarts and other students

    Finally someone else who supports dramione. Hermione would have taught Draco the truth about the muggle world, and Draco would have probably gotten Hermione to stop worrying almost obsessively about her work. I think they would balance each other out really well. Ron or Harry seemed to just let Hermione do what she wanted, they didn’t really challenge her. Draco would likely be that challenge she needs

Harry and Ron did NOT let her do whatever she wanted. You'll notice if you actually READ the books. Malfoy literally got a KICK out of her being harassed by the death eaters. My unpopular HP-opinions:
    *1. I don’t really like ships like for example „Dramione“.*
    Especially Dramione. I mean… It seems like, people only ship them because of the actors. Don‘t get this wrong: you can have whatever headcanon you want. But I find it a bit annoying.
    *2. I love, how Harry married Ginny and Ron married Hermione.*
    It is the only way the golden trio becomes an actual family, and all their kids become blood-related. I just love it!
    *3. I count **_Cursed Child_** as canon*
    Because firstly, J.K.Rowling did say it is officially canon, so it is. (In my opinion)
    And yes, there are things about it that I don‘t like. For example how the time turner works completely differently (and I.m.O worse) compared to the one in POA. In my headcanon, these are just two different sorts of time turners.
    *4. Yes, J.K.Rowling is the author of Harry Potter*
    I see many comments that say „Daniel Radcliffe/ Dobby/ etc. wrote Harry Potter actually!“ and I think it is annoying and ridiculous. You don‘t have to agree on everything Rowling said, to like her books. But just because she has a very controversial opinion, doesn’t mean she is a terrible person or she cannot write wonderful books.
    *5. I don‘t like Snape that much* Yes, he was a hero. Yes he was brave. But he was a very bad teacher, and the way he treated his pupils was very unfair. He kind of blames Harry for how James treated him as a pupil. He was a death eater and is partly to blame for the death of Lily and James, because he was the one, who told Voldemort about the prophecy. Yes, he regretted everything and we can forgive him. But why can‘t he forgive what James did to him in their youth?!
    *6. I think, the Voldemort in part one of the films was the better Voldemort*
    Yes, Ralph Fiennes did an amazing job, but if we compare him to the computer-animated Voldemort-Face on the back of Quirells Head with the Voice of Richard Bremmer, he was in my opinion less scary and less close to the books (apart from the nose😉)
    *7. There is nothing wrong with reading Harry Potter as a christian*
    I am a Christian myself, and in my opinion there is a huge difference between Harry Potter and actual witchcraft, because everybody knows, Harry Potter is fantasy. Harry Potter is like a fairytale. The magic in it isn‘t real, and everybody knows that. I don’t think that it leads children towards witchcraft and actual dark magic. Younger children can read it together with their parents and discuss it with them afterwards. Of course, if someone can‘t tell the difference between fiction and reality, he or she should‘nt read it, but those people shouldn’t read Fairytales, or other Fantasy-stories either.
    *8.One** can have a perfectly fine childhood without Harry Potter*
    I didn’t read Harry Potter until last December (I was 19 years old then), so I had a Childhood without Harry Potter, and it was perfectly fine. Just because you grew up with Harry Potter, doesn’t mean there isn’t an actual childhood without it. (And by the way: yes, I loved reading as a child anyway)
    If you are interested: The main reason why I didn’t read it, was because I wasn’t really interested in fantasy in general, but another reason was, that there were people who tried to force me to read this, and I didn’t want to give up my free will.😉
    *9. If Umbridge had appeared at another moment in the story, I believe that people wouldn’t hate her **_that_** much*
    Don’t get me wrong: I don‘t like her. The character is just great as a villain, because she makes people hate her in like not many villains do. But one reason, why people hate her is because she appeared first in book five, when the minister of magic was against Harry and heconcealed the fact that Voldemort had returned. The later prime minister became „against Harry“ as well. And Umbridge wants to act to please them. If Umbridge had appeared earlier (f.ex. in Book one, two or three) or if the minister of magic would have believed Harry, she would make many of the readers less aggressive. She would still be a very annoying character, but since she is so power-hungry, and therefore cares what those above her - especially the minister - think of her, we wouldn't think she was all that bad if the minister had believed Harry.
    *10. The films aren’t canon.*
    Only what is written down, is canon. If you imagine the characters to look exactly like in the films, that‘s absolutely okay. But don’t hate on the directors of CC just because they made a dark skinned lady play Hermione. Because Hermione doesn‘t have a canonically defined skincolor. So they had the same Right to make her dark-skinned, as the Film-makers had the right to make her light-skinned!
    *11. Professor McGonnagall is absolutely underrated!*
    She cared for Harry so much, since the beginning! She and Molly were like mothers to him! She was fair to all of her students and a very strong woman. I believe that she is a great headmistress now. At least as good as Dumbledore was, if not better. Okay - we are Talking about unpopular opinions: So I think, she really might be a better headmistress compared to Dumbledore (I have nothing against Dumbledore, he was a very, very good headmaster - but I think, McGonnagall could be an even better one)
    *12. I don‘t like it, when people say that f.Ex. Luna and Harry or Albus and Scorpius **_obviously_** belong together*
    Why can’t they have a deep and loving friendship? Why do they have to have a romantical or sexual relationship? Again: It is okay, if you ship them in your headcanon, but please stop "attacking" us when we say we see them as "just" friends. Friendship also has great value.
    Sorry if there are any mistakes, English isn’t my native language🙈
    Have a nice day, may God bless y‘all🙋‍♀️
