- In this video we take a look at a common issue that occurs when trying to connect your Logitech C920 Webcam to OBS and get 1080p quality at the same time. This problem occured to me and unfortunately I didn't find any answers on the internet so after trial and error, I found a solution that I wanted to share with all of you. Thank you for the color correction settings, lighting was good but those little tweaks really made my skin look like my normal self and really popped the background I use to a slight vibrancy and warmth. Perfect my dude.

@MathewTheBest What other software do you use for livestreams? I could not read your ICONS on your computer screen during this video? What audio filters could we add that are good for singing on a livestream? Do we need an external audio mixer to use with OBS? How do we connect it?
Super helpful, helped us setting up a logitech C920 to properly capture handcrafting too. Out of the box in OBS the settings are too low quality.

hello, could you make a video, or tell me, how you got that nice audio out of your yeti, because I have mine on cardiod, talk directly onto it, run it through audacity, and it doesnt sound that good, its listenable but it just doesn't sound good.

I don't always subscribe off one vid- but man is this helpful- I also had scoured the net and had not found anything like this, some tubers with lots of subs even gloss over it in tutorials by taking their image and stretching it till it is mainly on their face lol. GREAT VID! quick question: would you set the canvas and output as the HD res? I've heard some say to set the canvas as what your screen is but then the 1080 image doesn't fit I don't think. I am on Mac, and when I go in the settings on OBS for my webcam, I don't have any 1920x resolution offered... The highest is "1280x720", and there's another option listed as "High". Any idea why? :( Thank you

thankyou sooo much. was VERY confusing that it showed as 1080 in the logitech app but a much smaller res in OBS. bugged me so much, ive been trimming it to try and make it look 1080 but it would cut half the screen off. thank god there's an actual way to fix it XD

This definitely fixed the quality of the video for me, however a side-effect was a lag in the audio once the video starts recording. I tried changing the buffering from Auto to Enable, but that made it lag more. Then I tried Disable, but that made it slow down more than the other two. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? Maybe it's just not having a good enough computer/processor to keep up w/1080HD? (Computer is an HP ProBook 11 G2 with an Intel Pentium CPU 4405U @ 2.1GHz. If you have any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
You need a beefy CPU at least a i3 or i5 processer for big task

I guess its different for mac because i dont see that option to change resolution when you click on properties of the video capture. IF you can help me find it, that would be great.

i'm not able to get all those settings options when you select camera settings. I only get what what resolution and frame rate to choose. not option for exposure etc. help!!

Awesome video! I'm going to play around with color correction as I look too red with the settings you use. Question: How can I adjust the focus to make the background blurry but I appear clear? I have a Logitech C920 webcam. Thanks again for the great video!
I think you have to download the Logitech software and turn it on in there or play around with some settings in the software but it's all software based and generally looks pretty horrible. If you want it to look good and cinematic like in a lot of videos you have to use a DSLR camera, which obviously costs A LOT of money and is probably something you want to do when you get a really, really beefy setup.

Hey Mat, thanks for this video! What you're covering is almost exactly what I'm dealing with, but there's one aspect I just can't figure out.
I'm trying to adjust the resolution for my Logitech 1080 Pro in the "Properties" of my camera in OBS, but the drop down caps out at 640x360. I can't increase it.
It's frustrating how I have this camera, but the quality is so low when I want to have my full face on screen.
Any ideas? Why are the higher resolutions there for you, but not me?
How I fixed it was mine, it was plugged into a usb splitter. I removed it and plugged it strait into my computer and it worked.

Are you still having the problem? If so, is it not connecting/ showing up on OBS? Or is it showing up but not allowing to be adjusted to 1080p resolution?

How do you make these settings stay when using Zoom Meetings? I change everything in OBS but then when I open up Zoom for a meeting everything defaults back to factory settings. UGH!

I can't get it to work right on my MacBook. I can't get my image to show in 1080, and it wants to stay @ 720 :-( I made a video yesterday with the C920 and assumed it would be 1080 and it looks awful :( Any advice?

I have a Logitech c920. My problem is that the camera shifts between light and dark. I don’t get a steady image like the one you have? Is that because of my OBS settings, my camera settings or maybe the room I’m in?
