Get yourself a palette knife! It helps to scrape out every last bit of shadow out. I need to do this with my JD Glows because i dont use them enough due to size.
I love depotting and repanning shadows. I do mattes as well.

This is the most fun eyeshadow repressing video I’ve ever seen. This now ranks as my second favourite video of yours after the April 1st byop 😭

I’ve been wanting to mix my decluttered shades too! It’s so interesting how especially shifty shades mix together. I love the concoctions you made !

When I got my JDG shadows I bought them intending to mix them as I repanned, I wrote out which combinations I wanted in a notebook 😂😂 I still ended up with leftover Prismatic, because that shadow was POTENT

Did you see that give me glow is now also having a outside factory making their shadows now too or something like that. They talked about it somewhere and had a sale to get rid of stock.

This was such a fun concept. Loved the reveals at the end and the look you created.

You can also use a quarter to press the shadows in (if they're the standard size). Nice video. Edit: I do not recommend adding rubbing alcohol. I ruined a (I believe it was Looxi) shadow doing that. Sometimes it clashes with the binding agent.

I got into repressing to fix some broken shades. In my experience, I can repress mattes without adding anything, but I’ve sometimes had to add some alcohol to shimmers that just wouldn’t hold together otherwise. I’ve gathered little items into a kit to help with this task: a mini plastic spatula from a face mask in a jar to act as a palette knife and a mini glass vial with an eye dropper from a Danessa Myrecks facial oil sample to hold the alcohol and dispense the drops. I’ve got the same empty pans with their magnetic “lids” as you do, Hannah. I cut paper into quarters first and then pull out extra pieces as needed. My one tip would be to use an old credit card or something like that to chop up and mix the powder on the paper rather than struggling to mix or break up the powders in the pan. It’s much easier! 👍 So fun watching you do this. I’ve got a question for you, though: do you get the same result as your mixed shadow by swatching Mermaid Waters and then adding Xenon on top??? I think I have those two…

Hey! I'm so glad you finally traveled down the repanning road! So just some (unasked for) tips for anyone new to this: try to get your hands on 99% isopropyl alcohol if possible, barring that, use 91%. The reason is the higher the percentage, the lower the amount of water. You do not want to introduce water for obvious reasons. The exception to this is if you're sanitizing, then you want 70-80% isopropyl because it doesn't dry as fast & allows for the alcohol to do it's germ killing job. Isopropyl alcohol is not a binder, it's more of a wetting agent that allows the pigment, binder etc to mix together harmoniously. Repressing with the dry method works perfectly with mattes (just gotta use enough force) but doesn't always work for shimmers. Adding 2-12 drops of alcohol to a shimmer in order to repress is perfectly fine!

*course I wrote this right as you were about to do the cookie cutter method!
You can use the cookie cutter method to repan the 36mm into the 26mm with minimal mess. Just press the 26mm pan into the center of the 36mm & use a metal spatula to pop it out or flip it upside down. I highly recommend using a metal spatula when depotting/repanning, it's an invaluable tool! You can also use the isopropyl alcohol (just enough to wet the pigment) to get the different pigments to mix together. It won't have that cool pebbled effect, but it will be one tone overall! just allow the alcohol to evaporate as much as possible before pressing!

O I want to do this too. I’m happy Give Me Glow now has the option of smaller pans!

Hannah you don't even need to take them out. Just add approx 10 drops of 91-99% isopropyl alcohol to each pan (use a dropper!!) Let it dry for 24 hrs, press firmly. They will not be crumbly. The isopropyl alcohol will evaporate. Especially if you use 99%. I've been doing it for 5 yrs with every brand you can think of with zero adverse effect 🤌✨

This video is SO great omg I can’t stop laughing, what a journey. That was so cool seeing the outcomes! Super pretty omg. This was so entertaining and funny to watch! You’re the cutest ❤ I would love to see you try GMG again now that they stopped with those huge pans! And omg now I want to try and blend some of my shadows together, oh no 😂 I’ve never done that before but I’ve had to repress many a broken shadow, I always chop them up as best I can with a knife on a piece of paper but me doing that goes more or less like this! And I never use alcohol to press shadows anymore, I think it messes with the texture a bit! I usually just take the paper over the pan and press down with my fingers, so I think the way you did this is totally fine! Just don’t drop the palette!!! 😭 I love how all your shadows came out, like this is the coolest video concept ❤
Great video babe omg I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Definitely one of the best videos you’ve done so far ❤

I tried the cookie-cutter method with my JDG shadows, they sometimes kinda pop out of the pan as a full coin, so at least it's okayish to squash back in 😅

Not related at all, but looxi is completely changing some of their old sparkly shadows. Badtothebrow repurchased The Feels and the new version is completely different to the original, or what it's supposed to look like. I accidentally purchased a Jawbreaker duplicate and it's completely different from the original I purchased when it was first released. What is happening 😩 Have you purchased a new old shadow to see how it is now? I'd hate to say it but I think Looxi is reformulating all their beautiful sparkly shades..

I made an order of some older shades over a month ago and haven’t gotten a shipping notification yet. Hopefully I’ll get them soon and can make a video on it. I feel terrible knowing that people are taking my recommendations and then receiving a totally different product from the brand
