MARGARITA BABE IS SO SWEET YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HER. YOU TWO MAKE A GOOD TEAM. THAT IS A LOT OF WORK ON THE BOAT. I love your video's they are down to earth and show real Boat Life with Humor...
Peter, you are the luckiest captain I know. Having the best, hardest working and of course the hottest first mate I've ever seen. Fair winds and following seas. Love you two to the moon and back. Be safe.
Ah, my deepest sympathy Peter! After nearly forty years with my wife, I have learned one thing; I can do absolutely anything I want just as long as she says so! We love the channel!!

Don’t have to lie. One of the most entertaining sailing channels yet. Giving me some great pointers on how to keep the wife happy . Keep it coming people😆
You guys deserve to be #1 in sailing channel subs. Peter, a suggestion--I think you could do a great relationships-for-men channel! Your sense of humor, straightforward wisdom, great ability to express yourself, along with real-life modeling (as in showing by example) is just what everyone needs. Maybe just a little rebranding of this channel and you could have a much wider audience.

Good job you two! Always fun. I was a Machinist Moldmaker for 42 years in a Glass manufacturer. Welded ,milled surfaced ground and built things my whole career and it's fun to watch you two attack a tough job. Burlington Bill
I’m waiting for the tv series. You two are seriously entertaining and great to watch. And I have been with you from day 1. Keep it up, and keep loving.
Unequivocally, the most entertaining sailing (and marriage advice) channel on RUclips. Love you guys. (Oh, and in the US Navy, we called it a bos'n mate's screw driver.)
Holy hell mate, you got a crapload of work to complete.I’d be absolute nutters if I’ had that much bloody labour in 3 weeks. Margarida is an absolute warrior mate. She battled on with her illness. Great video, lots of hard work in the heat. A lady friend has 3 fingers from one moment of distraction with a winch, take Peter's words of caution with love.
Interesting to see you go back in time so suddenly, lol. I found your channel during your COVID crisis and enjoyed (empathetically) following your challenges from Cuba to Panama. One of these days I'll get a chance to go back to more of your earlier episodes, but certainly enjoy the current ones and hope you get more editing time these days to catch up on time a little more.

Jim, you nailed it. Peter you are the best - cool, calm and collected and in a crisis like what occurred on the Cat in West Australia you are truly the best Skipper. Take out all the crap "peeeople" stuff and this is the best Channel on RUclips. Fair winds you two.
John Grant he is the best captain 👩✈️ on RUclips or the German or Chinese Navy! We will not compare him to the Australian or United States Navy!!!! And again we as viewers want to thank the Colombian Navy for taking such good care of the beautiful Margarita and Peter the Great ! Good on you Columbia Navy!
You both are troopers! Sick and still working. I love your humor!! Thanks for the great footage and showing what it takes to repair Freedom. I look forward to next week's episode.
Good on you Rick...if it wasn't for you and a small percentage of others we would be without a boat and without a clue...but we still have the boat, the clue part we are working on...
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM Not sure I have the answer for the others. Life is really 'far out' some times. For me, I guess when you find something good .. you stick with it. I try and do my best. Like you, I had a different life once, maybe one many called 'the ideal life' that comes with a title and money, but then things change and you carve your own path. I would love to be where you and Margarida are. So, I live through your videos once a week. :)
I commented how much "I love your humor". too. Yet I was scolded that >> " Where is the Humour? This Is A serious Flog"! Ill admitt I was shocked. I was enjoying the videos ....now not so much now.
Hey there, I found you guys on the lighting strike episode and you hook me completely with the repairs explaining and the fantastic story telling style of The captain, now I found Margarita it’s also from Portugal like me and she’s making all portuguese sailors proud. Grande Margarida. E ainda por cima tb ajuda no estaleiro. Esse Aussi teve sorte lol, good winds, keep safe and goodspeed
So satisfying fixing things that you know will make life safer and more enjoyable. Don't let Margarita forget to pick up more sea sickness patches for the deep water voyage to come!
thank you for the great video, it really lifted my spirits watching you two take on hard work with a smile. I really like this channel, you two are the real deal. Thank you again.
Hello, I have learned something new today: in Australia the hammer is called an American screwdriver :)). Here in Romania we call it the universal wrench. I'm enjoying your videos, keep it up. best regards.
Thanks for sharing Razvan my good new friend... Romanian that is terrific...you are the first Romanian to say they were Romanian...that is a first....I checked my stats my friend and Romania is 0.2% of my audience...I reckon we can do better than that...tell me a Romanian joke so I can put it in....and maybe you can share it around to your friends too...great mate thanks
Work work work.... the struggle is real. Ready to see y’all back at sea. Bet y’all are ready after 24 straight days of work to meet the deadline. Keep up the great work.
Love the videos guys sorry you guys got sick can't wait to see the other fixes you do and trust me I'll mention sailing into Freedom until all of the other standing channels I watch I always do love you guys stay safe
Ggod on you Jason, we need all the help we can get top stuff...you are in a select group of about 14 people now, and out of 70K not a great ratio but lets see what we can do
Another great episode guys! Sorry to hear you both got crook, but looks like you recovered quickly.. atleast it happened while on land and you were able to rest properly. Love the determination Margarida.. somedays sh*ts just gotta get done, if your sick or not. Also great job on the paint work! The secruity screens are a great idea! Hope it helps calm the anxiety... and i pray you never need them! Was going to ask when Margarida was going to chop that head of hair of yours off but it looks like its had a trim since hahaha Cant wait for the next episode guys stay safe x

Seem like there were quite a few technical difficulties Peter. Glad to see you back in the lovely Margaridas good graces. And you wonder why you're behind schedule. I'm sure not going to fault you.
Another Great Video. I have been name dropping, I'm amazed though at how many times iv seen your name come up on other channels. I think it's because we enjoy similar channels. Not the Hoyti toyti "La Swager blonds"
Ha good on you Ralph...keep it going...we are just past halfway...we need to get to 140K where we should be OK....thanks for all your help in the past...I wish I had 10000 like you topstuff mate
I always make my filler using phenolic resin micro beads for areas underwater and exposed to seawater. Also, when you come to replace the wall lining, I use those neoprene rubber foam slabs. They have to be glued in place using 3M or some other spray-on rubber glue, but once all are laid (they come like large tiles and you can stretch them a little, and around fittings. They cut down massively on noises and condensation, keep the vessel warn or cool, dry out easily if they ever get wet, and are easily removed if needed, and take water-based paint if one needs to paint them, or one can glue contact vinyl on them. If going into cold waters, these tiles can be put on in two layers or used as a foundation for other kinds of foam. One layer makes a big difference though--and they are cheap as chips--about three bucks or less each depending on where one buys them. The camping interlocking mats are OK--but not the ones with the holes obviously--
You are correct Mike....they are more water proof than what I had used but I couldn't get them, I think I mention it on the next episode but you are way ahead of everybody...I am not playing you in chess, always 2 moves ahead LOL
Hey Peter, not sure if I count as your only Chinese viewer, but I am an Aussie living in China :) Love your channel, long time follower, and really enjoy yours and Margarida's dynamic in all range of situations.
Wow, wow, wow, I had heard the CCP and the WHO had banned SAILING INTO FREEDOM??? That is impressive that you can find broadband to watch!!! Hey man,,, see if Peter and Margarita mind if you communicate a little with all of us!!! I would really like to know if the floods and Locusts are a real threat where you are???
I realized that the “ screens” are security bars. Keep living the dream! I think you guys should sail to New Orleans. Corona virus be damned!! Love you guys!!!!
Cartagena is a great place for boat work. My friends said skilled labor is only $15.00 to $20.00 per day. They had a hard bimini built and installed for about $1000.00. It even had drains to collect rain. It is fun city for tourism also.
Great vid. Lots of hard work put in. I’m surprised the sailing community doesn’t help each other’s projects out more, but I guess with it being Cartagena it may be a bit remote.
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM I'd have welded those bars up for you if we were in the same port. I keep a welder and mini lathe on board and use it to stretch my sailing budget. But I'm stuck in the states for a while now. I came home to make some money and do repairs and the damn virus blew my plan out of the water 😂
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM it does but I think you guys had it a LOT worse than I do. If you don't mind me asking what's your plan for the future? Are you guys doing the canal and Pacific? I thought about it but now I'm thinking about Europe and possibly stepping the mast and doing the French canals or the Black Sea and the Danube.
I have reached out to a few other sailing You tube channels for you and laty have had my mail interrupted by RUclips as I have expressed my personal opinions about the Virus and restrictions on people's lives etc. And it seems I have been quarentined from voicing my opinion towards those who make our lives difficult and it seems they have to power to keep me from voicing my freedom of speech. Hope you guys are smoking and enjoying as much if life as you can! Perhaps if I had an email address for you I can communicate more easily. I just happened on to this episode and decided to send you some love and good thoughts for you! Hope you are smoking resting having fun and always Being Blessed! Regards Lawrence

@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM I'll probably replace all mine at some point and I'll just go for a paint finish for sure. I noticed that Troy and Pascale on Mirool don't have any headlining at all - they just painted the fibreglass like you've done. Oh, just noticed my typo - fire cabin! 😂
Boatyard job always get longer some how. Stirling work but don't forget the breathing masks, you'll wish you had worn them in 20 years time. Tell her I said so.... Hugely amusing and good to see you both still smiling.
Do you a deal?...you buy a lottery ticket and I will buy one and if either of us wins then we buy the other a catamaran...let's face it it is the only way I am going to get back on one save theft....and I am no thief!
Well, when I first started out as a carpenter (oh so long ago) we used to call the hammer an Oklahoma screwdriver...a simple pejorative term proving how much better we were than them....but then, sometimes we would see stuff on jobsites that suggested accuracy of our amazed disdain. Like the guy who used a skilsaw between his knees with no guard and trigger tied down to cut blocks of 2x4 wood. Brilliant! (and there were lots more Mr. Brilliants)
Great video, just understand this, Aussie! Corrugated doesn't mean 'ruff'! It actually increases the strength while decreasing the width - it's structural mate!
Thanks Jesse for the structural talk...the roughness was the crappy glue stuck in between the corrugations which of course is hard to get out becuase of them
You guys are doing amazing, and very hard work. Love the show!! I saw the stainless screens, that you made a jig for. What are the purpose? It’s such large screen opening?

John Grant he is the best captain 👩✈️ on RUclips or the German or Chinese Navy! We will not compare him to the Australian or United States Navy!!!! And again we as viewers want to thank the Colombian Navy for taking such good care of the beautiful Margarita and Peter the Great ! Good on you Columbia Navy!
Very good ship maintennace, friend. For the sake of safety at sea👍
Safety fourth!...Keep watching and sharing my friend
Yall are hilarious. I wish yall luck, and I wish I was living that life. When we get out out of this Corona crap I look forward to being a patreon.
Hi ho Silver ...awayyyyyyy...thanks for that...we need all the help we can get
You both are troopers!
Also you joined up just as everyone was bailing on us big time at the end of last year....why is that? I don't know why but you saved us!
Thanks my friend..
Beautiful couple beautiful life. So happy for you guys!

LAughter is the best medicine.......also listen to the wife is good medicine too....or so she tells me
So satisfying fixing things that you know will make life safer and more enjoyable. Don't let Margarita forget to pick up more sea sickness patches for the deep water voyage to come!
Too late
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM Ohh noo!
thank you for the great video, it really lifted my spirits watching you two take on hard work with a smile. I really like this channel, you two are the real deal. Thank you again.
Thanks Mr Power...just filming what we are doing without the BS....share it around if you can mate thanks
Hello, I have learned something new today: in Australia the hammer is called an American screwdriver :)). Here in Romania we call it the universal wrench. I'm enjoying your videos, keep it up. best regards.
In the UK we call it just a screwdriver but depending on what type we call it a phillips screwdriver or a flat head.
My dad would have called it a Polish screwdriver.
its called an adjuster where I work.
Absolutely fantastic watching. Keep up the good work you two.
Thanks Alex glad you liked it
Margarita you are my hero 🤙
What about me? yeah I know better not say it...there may be kids reading this
No hurry, you are my hero too. 🥴😘
THANKS GUYS FOR THE UPDATE. Must be a very stressful time for both of you.
Our pleasure!
Work work work.... the struggle is real. Ready to see y’all back at sea. Bet y’all are ready after 24 straight days of work to meet the deadline.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks Griffin

Was going to ask when Margarida was going to chop that head of hair of yours off but it looks like its had a trim since hahaha
Cant wait for the next episode guys stay safe x
Thnaks Nicole...its trimmed now...and I hate it!
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM HAHAHA but I bet Margarida is LOVING it and you've said it more then once or twice mate.. happy wife..... happy life.. 🤣🤣
Hay mate I'm new to patron. Never used it before. But wanting to help out.. is it USD or AUS??
Bloody saying is crazy I tells ya. What about happpy plan happy man
You guys are great made my evening had a good chuckle and learned something not bad for this pls buy!
Seem like there were quite a few technical difficulties Peter. Glad to see you back in the lovely Margaridas good graces. And you wonder why you're behind schedule. I'm sure not going to fault you.
Man is man and must do men things.....I ought to write poetry
Another Great Video. I have been name dropping, I'm amazed though at how many times iv seen your name come up on other channels. I think it's because we enjoy similar channels. Not the Hoyti toyti "La Swager blonds"
Ha good on you Ralph...keep it going...we are just past halfway...we need to get to 140K where we should be OK....thanks for all your help in the past...I wish I had 10000 like you topstuff mate
Best viewer comment of this video!!!
Thumbs up for the drill brush.
Dodgyville in dodgey land
Hey Peter, not sure if I count as your only Chinese viewer, but I am an Aussie living in China :) Love your channel, long time follower, and really enjoy yours and Margarida's dynamic in all range of situations.
that doesn't count but dont talk too loudly because I wouldn't mind getting back into the Chinese market...I hear there may be a few of them there
Wow, wow, wow, I had heard the CCP and the WHO had banned SAILING INTO FREEDOM??? That is impressive that you can find broadband to watch!!! Hey man,,, see if Peter and Margarita mind if you communicate a little with all of us!!! I would really like to know if the floods and Locusts are a real threat where you are???
Awesome job guys
Maybe not awesome, just at the baseline for practical...we wont be winning any awards for hme improvements
I realized that the “ screens” are security bars. Keep living the dream!
I think you guys should sail to New Orleans. Corona virus be damned!!
Love you guys!!!!
Thanks for the invite and we would love to...but I think we would get kicked out
Cartagena is a great place for boat work. My friends said skilled labor is only $15.00 to $20.00 per day. They had a hard bimini built and installed for about $1000.00. It even had drains to collect rain. It is fun city for tourism also.
You are correct Andrew...you will see it on another episode...I go through why you should do boat work here and not Guatemala
Great vid. Lots of hard work put in. I’m surprised the sailing community doesn’t help each other’s projects out more, but I guess with it being Cartagena it may be a bit remote.
Thanks Mike, they do and help with gear sometimes
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM I'd have welded those bars up for you if we were in the same port. I keep a welder and mini lathe on board and use it to stretch my sailing budget.
But I'm stuck in the states for a while now. I came home to make some money and do repairs and the damn virus blew my plan out of the water 😂
That’ sucks
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM it does but I think you guys had it a LOT worse than I do.
If you don't mind me asking what's your plan for the future? Are you guys doing the canal and Pacific? I thought about it but now I'm thinking about Europe and possibly stepping the mast and doing the French canals or the Black Sea and the Danube.
Canal and Pacific
good morning from land locked Alberta, Canada
Hi Tim from Canada
I wasn't aware there was a 'randy' Smurf but we live and learn! Nice security bars..."nothin but quality." Best of luck meeting your deadline guys.
Poor Smurfette...the ratio is a killer...thanks for you wishes....see you next week
Absolutely top shelf pee-pole! You guys are amazing together, what a team!
Thanks so much!
Nice tip with the wire brush and portable drill! Will use that in the future.
Wear a hat
More sound advice. Will do that and more 8f I have to work on the sanitation again:(
What a great video! Thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks Dan the man.
Keep up the great work and great humor.
Thanks Steve we will continue to provide nothing but quality videos for your viewing pleasure
No end to this I hope Peter your awesome bro
Thanks Mr Ford but I hope there is an end to this...I really don't know what you mean
So I said to myself why would I want to watch DIY - so glad I did. Great job guys.
Thanks Mike
Second favorite sail channel , and i watch way too many, love it cheers to you both!
Woohoooo...who is the favourite just so we know...its ok you can tell...we use to be crap but now we are less so
Great work! it’s not easy to get all things done as life happens at the same time.. ✊👌
Tis true, not to mention gorgeousness interfering with my head
You all’s just toooo much fun.
Thanks Lawrence for spreading the word....I think every govt and authority just wants us to be passive sheep....sad state of affairs really...yes we are smoking...smoke is coming out of my ears from doing so many videos
great vid well done .
Glad you enjoyed it Roy keep sharing so we can keep do this sort of stuff...thanks
One of your best ones, Thank you 😊
Glad you think so Raul
Found you guys a bit back when y'all started uploading your guys pandemic run around series LOL. You got one rad lady there, Peter! You two keep on keepin on. Hope to see you both on the seas in some years time!
Welcome aboard! i Hppe we run into you too and then we can share bullshit stories as my good uncle use to say...may he RIP
I feel certain Freedom will be on the water very soon!!!
Awesome work in that fire cabin Margarida. I just re-glued all my headlining and I so wish I'd just painted them instead!
Margarida likes things super clean so the lining is not for us...maybe its ok for you...ours is a leaky boat you see
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM I'll probably replace all mine at some point and I'll just go for a paint finish for sure. I noticed that Troy and Pascale on Mirool don't have any headlining at all - they just painted the fibreglass like you've done.
Oh, just noticed my typo - fire cabin! 😂
Great teamwork guys,
Thanks Strider mate share it around if you can
Great show sailing into freedom again
Thanks Ian
Love your new intro
Thanks James...keep watching and sharing buddy
Boatyard job always get longer some how. Stirling work but don't forget the breathing masks, you'll wish you had worn them in 20 years time. Tell her I said so.... Hugely amusing and good to see you both still smiling.
I know Simon...she doesn't listen EVER!
Yes yes yes, you don’t realize at first!
Very cool video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it, Thanks Nick
One day you'll look back on all this with fond memories. Or you'll win the lottery and not think of these days at all. Who knows? Cheers.
Do you a deal?...you buy a lottery ticket and I will buy one and if either of us wins then we buy the other a catamaran...let's face it it is the only way I am going to get back on one save theft....and I am no thief!
just subbed. refreshing.
Welcome aboard Bill....glad you like it...keep watching and sharing my new friend
Brilliants)
You will shake your head on later episodes....maybe I am part Oklahoman?
@@SAILINGintoFREEDOM hah! not with that head of hair!
Harsh LOL
Great video, just understand this, Aussie! Corrugated doesn't mean 'ruff'! It actually increases the strength while decreasing the width - it's structural mate!
Thanks Jesse for the structural talk...the roughness was the crappy glue stuck in between the corrugations which of course is hard to get out becuase of them
You guys are doing amazing, and very hard work. Love the show!!
I saw the stainless screens, that you made a jig for. What are the purpose? It’s such large screen opening?
You will see it next week...I dont want to spoil it
