Hi Marnae and me loved your video !!! Thank you so much . loved tilly’s blanket !! excited for the new sewing room right alongside you both❤❤❤❤❤hugs and love
You two are a power couple. I don't think there is nothing you cannot do! Love to hear and see all your progress! Makes me "almost" want to take on a new project! 😂
I was the one that gave you that cute blue printed fabric with the dogs and bones on it you are using for the boarder Marnae, that just makes my heart so happy to see it in a project ♥️♥️💕
Your sewing studio is fantastic! Jim has done a great job. I think it may be larger than our apartment. Oh my, the ideas just decorating will be so fun. It's a great way to recover from the fire as well. Teaching that even from the ashes, you guys are strong together, and will come back stronger. ❤😊❤
I love your words of encouragement ❤️ I am very excited to decorate but even more excited to have some place to escape to. We were at a stand still for a bit & I was feeling a bit depressed..... I'm happy for the light that is shining through 😊
We painted our ceiling with white gloss paint. Most everyone uses flat paint. But I like the way the paint reflects light. When the electric goes out we just point the flashlight to the ceiling and it brightens the room more. We learned this from hurricane Andrew when our house was destroyed.
That is a very great tip!!! I remember hurricane Andrew and I'm so sorry about your home too! Its devastating & traumatic to lose your home. I hope that you have come through this tragedy stronger ❤️ Bless you!
Prayers for the flooding victims. Clean up can be heartbreaking and expensive. We learned here in Iowa, you have to have specific insurance to cover flooding, tornadoes, etc. Those things aren't covered! We've had over 120 tornadoes this year, and a month and a half to go. Some were small, others demolished entire towns. We've had major flooding as well. About every 7-10 days it's been storming, with an unusual amount of lightning.🙏❤️🙏
This has been a really tough year. I have heard some of the towns peoples stories. Its heart wrenching & I understand completely ❤️ Recovery is the hardest to get through as well as the healing.
You guys are God sends from heaven helping all those flood victims in your hometown. That was very thoughtful of you. As far as everything else, you have come so far I can't even believe it. Everything is coming along beautifully and I can't wait, as I'm sure you can't either, til it's done and you can create in your own space again. Your time with Aaron is so special. You two have a real connection. The puppies have such a good time together as well. Waiting to see you again. Take Care!!!
Thank you! We felt it was the right thing to do as so many people helped us. We understand the tragedy of loss. They need love & hope ❤️ Recovery is a process that does take time & I still have sad days as well but I am happy & grateful for all we have. Erin is an Angel in disguise! She is a true blessing❤️
The Tilly quilt turned out so beautifully. Your quilting studio will be fabulous. You are so kind to help out the folks in the flooded areas. God bless you both.
Great start on Tilly's quilt. Your sewing room looks HUGE but they never are big enough once all the equipment and surface areas are added. I know that it seems like a long journey. I also know what a blessing you both are in stepping up to help others in their current struggles from the weather. God bless all!
I was just thinking about Erin's shop. All the fabric so close together, within reach of each other, pictures from the book and magazines near the fabric...my mind would never stop thinking of what I could make! I love hushop. My daughter and I are looking to relocate. Your community is a lot like my hometown in Iowa. Sadly, we can't afford to live there. My insurance may not follow me out of state. I'm handicapped and need a special doctor. So, we're stuck until I can figure out how to move. 😊❤ Your community is fantastic. You're blessed to have such wonderful friends, and generous people in the area. Fire in a rural community is one of the worst things to happen. Same with my hometown. The entire county is small. My town is the county seat with a little less than 15,000 people. We have one of everything... highschool, fire department, one McDonald's...😊
I understand....Our community here is rural & small. Its a farming area that has generations of family. They have embraced Jim & I. We feel so blessed to live here. Prayers for you to have the strength to live where you want to be and find happiness. Don't ever give up on your dreams no matter what age we are. Live everyday to the fullest ❤️ (sometimes its hard 😊)
@@marnaescountryfarmhouse Thank you. I have been feeling low, to where I have no imagination to sew. I don't know what to sew, afraid of making a mistake and ruining my fabric. Dumb things running through my head, but absolutely putting my brain into overload. Usually, it's difficult to get me away from my machine. Now, I'm afraid to use it. Today I'm giving it a shot. Thanks Marnae 🤗❤️
Here’s a hint for your quilt books. I have bought repeat books forgetting I already had one. So make a list of titles an authors and keep it in your phone. That way you won’t buy duplicates. Love the videos, keep um coming.
Hi Marnae andJim Everything looks fantastics!!!! It is great to see you two work in another county to help our fellow neighbors!! so nice of you to share, warms my heart, Thank you , lots of love hugs and prayer sent your way.❤❤❤❤❤
It has been fun, to see the room come together. Marnie I’m so happy for you. Nothing takes away the loss that you’ve had. I lost the house to about 55 years ago. There are times I still miss some thing that I had. Somethings are not replaceable.! it was New Year’s Day. I was pregnant with my fourth child. He was born in February. I had a small crib that I was going to use. I had just brought it to the house and washed it all up and put the bedding in there. And it was gone. I think of that little crib, every so often. And there’s a few other special things . Gone! Life goes on. We are survivors. Thanks to our heavenly father Jehovah. He has made us strong and resilient. We can pray to Jehovah. He always helps us. And thank you Jesus.
Awww... Thank you for sharing your story with me. I'm so sorry for your loss too. You are right, life keeps us moving forward but we miss all that we had. I would love to give everything I have now back just to have what I had.....but I am ever so grateful!❤️ I just miss it. God is great & I can't ask why things happened the way it did. It is a heavy burden to carry though....
You are so talented love Tilly quilt ❤ the sewing room looking good. It's gonna be a wonderful room ❤ thank you for helping out Debby rain. I live in ky it rained and flooded areas here also. But we r on a hill we were fine. You are so inspiring. 💕🫂
So nice to see you and Erin with baby & Tilly ,his quilt is really cute, thanks for the update on your sewing studio nice to see you and Jim, God Bless ❤
Tilly loves his Aunt Erin 😊❤ I remember the video with your nephew's quilt. The reason was because everyone in my family, male or female, love to fish and spend time at, on and in the lake we vacation at every year. During the rest of the time, we fish local farm ponds. I would take my little girls fishing, way before starting school. Yes, 3 of them within 2 1/2 years apart in age. Oldest and youngest were my sister's, but she was unable/uninterested in caring for them. They grew up together as sisters. I remember that quilt sew vividly, but you didn't mention which book or magazine it came from. You did mention that the ideas came from both a magazine and book. I'll look back and see if you mentioned any source before you finished it. There were 2 videos. One was you working on it, just talking about it. The other video was you showing the finished quilt for graduation or boy scout thing. We'll figure it out. Have you tried typing in some of the applique patterns on RUclips. It will give you tons of places that show how to make each thing. The bobber was a square that you pieced together and snowballed the corners. The other stuff you got from different places, not just one place. I'll see if I can find anything. Watch my search come back to you 😅
I love reading your memory stories ❤️ so interesting... Erin found the book & it is called Summer Picnic. I couldn't remember because I had so many different books, magazines, patterns, I don't know how I kept track of it all 😁 I did go back & watch my video with the bobbers. I didn't mention the book. I must have forgotten. I loved that quilt though! ❤️
@@marnaescountryfarmhouse I loved it too. I'm glad you figured out which book it came from. I will look I the library from my hometown. They allow people to photocopy directions for quilts. You have to pay 10¢/page, but it's worth the directions. I'm sure they have it. Fons and Porter had a show on our local PBS station when I was a teenager. My mother bought a book from their shop that was 12 miles away in Winterset, Iowa.
Maybe a quick photo of the bag would help...you know the google camera search? Does your nephew have the quilt you made? Maybe he can take a photo for you to show us. I LOVE a challenge!!!
