It is commendable what the new Ghana Government and leadership have put together as a plan and following it closely with an implementation strategy. But what bothers me yet again is whether we have to explain ourselves or bare our strategy as a nation or as a political party to CSIS or any such bodies? What is in it for us partaking in such workshops? and most importantly what is in it for CSIS and their sponsors. We should, however, share these kinds of best practice in the African Union.

      Apt!
I've always had my thoughts along this line. But also, I think we need the public talks to change some narratives about Afrika. Would you believe some folks didn't know Afrikaans can speak fluent English and other foreign languages? Some do not even believe we can think on our own. Pathetic right?
So we need to sell and show ourselves to the world to prove many wrongs perceptions.
We also equally using the platforms to market our countries for investment purposes. We need it.

Since about eighty percent of the work force in ghana have informal jobs and therefore not paying their fair share of taxes, government is not generating revenues domestically and routinely borrowing from world bank and IMF to balance budget.solution, mechanized agriculture ASAP and have the courage to consolidate the highly fragmented retail sector of numerous petty traders and hawkers,by introducing large supermarket chains and Departmental stores.More formal jobs could be created in agriculture,if large corporations could be established to venture into agribusiness and reduce the nation's dependant on peasant farmers.peasant farmers without modern farm equipments, could not meet the food need of the growing population. It is critical for ghana government to work to ensure that eighty percent of the work force have formal jobs,so as more revenues could be mobilized domestically and reduce government borrowing syndrome.

@@nanaadwoa4632 And who says it is not about Ghana. That is the reason this lawlessness government must go. When in the history of our forth republic have we ever seen this kind of arrogance, lawlessness, insults, violence, and the degree of corruption before? Even to the extent of Charles Bisiw who was caught on tape collecting money, can still be working at the seat of government today.. Yes it is about Ghana when a whole Minister of state can go shooting at polling station without any provocation but would still be at post. When the so-called National Security official can go to a polling station harrassed slaping an MP and shoot innocent person at Ayawaso west by- election resulting to one of them loosing his leg today and yet nothing is done. Yes!!, it is about Ghana, when police went harrassing and beating some Ghanaians born and bread here in Ghana but just by their names and region they come from, were being hsrrassed in their own country and their citizenship had to be determined by some one else. Yes it is about GHANA..
