I have been wanting to know how to do this forever so I am definitely saving this video!
I'm a self taught beginner and this is exactly what I needed- simple, easy to follow and not overwhelming! I'm using this technique to help some family with headshots that require a certain color background.
You can also use the hue blend instead of the multiplier. It also allows shadows through with white and green screen back grounds. And it looks much better

This never works well for me - I get a very poor selection of the subject, especially around the clothing edges where things are frayed, or around the model's hair. Seems like your select subject is smarter than mine
I already somewhat do this, but in the long round about way - so thanks for showing me the correct way to do it. This comes in handy for me both at work and for my personal digital art hobby.

Change a clothing photoshoot background because the studio we use didn't have our desired backdrop! This is helpful.
