You’re dad is the epitome of a real man. He does what he needs to do to take care of his family. That’s where his wisdom comes from. My daddy was just like that. He was courageous and nothing was too difficult for him to tackle. Just chalk your day up to life and be thankful you have family who care about you. Make some lemonade out of your lemons!😂

Be so grateful for your daddy. My daddy has Parkinson’s & had a stroke so he’s not able to help like he always did before. My husband died in 2022 (he was only 61) so I have to depend on Jiffy Lube or another garage now. My uncle will go with me if it’s something major because they tend to take advantage of women. Hug your daddy every day!!!

1 of the things I apreciate about you, is the simple fact that what you upload is real despite the edits. Most RUclips channels could care less about honesty, faux honesty is a cascade against them and the viewers. Life is what we choose to make it, reality cannot be undone through appearances.

Well cold start on a diesel is difficult. You need to change your battery to Cold cranking amps on your regular car. On your husband's truck is a diesel. You need to keep the block warm, otherwise it will not turn over until it's warmed. Just get a little heater and place near engine block. Until it's warmed. Then let the engine idle for awhile before driving

I grew up with a father and paternal uncle who kept our old cars running. I had a first car ( used) at age 18. I lived, worked and went to college in a town a half hour drive from my home town. My car started to try to start by itself in the night parked in front of where I lived. They came at night and worked under the hood with flashlights and fixed it. A police officer stopped and I explained what we were doing. He smiled and gave us a thumbs up. Thank God for a helpful family! God bless!

I've said for a long time that Matt and I are soul mates. Many times I came home from a long commute and spent a good part of the night fixing my old clunkers. Cold weather or hot weather seems to be the roughest on cars. Busting knuckles and smashing fingers is part of the game. People would ask me, "where'd you learn to fix stuff? I'd just tell them, "poverty will make a monkey eat pepper."

Never rains that it doesn't pour, as the old saying goes.
    This too shall pass.
I remember a car I had that the battery was under the back seat.
Cars are always wanting their fair share.
One year I got a tax return of $125.10.
Of course my car needed some work and the bill came to $125 even. This was back about 1981.
I have always said since then, don't let a house or vehicle hear you say or think you have a few extra dollars!! They will find a way to get it!!

Everybody said 4-6 weeks for a diagnosis appointment. I like, I don’t need a diagnosis! I need a radiator! See right here where it’s cracked and leaking?
So you sit and wait and wait and wait . Luckily, I knew to keep water in it and an eye on it and only go to corner store till fixed.

Yep, in 38 years of marriage, all kinds of vehicle issues😂 the most recent was waking up at 3 am to have a 2 hour drive to get my husband to the hospital for his surgery, my SUV had a flat tire and the battery died at the same time, we live in rural West Virginia, so long drives to get places are the norm. Thankfully my husband's truck was running well, drove his truck, to the hospital and my son came the next day after work to fix everything, since my husband was recovering from surgery, You know, life is good, when you can rely on your adult children to help,😊 . In our handicap with ramp, extended top had trouble with the alternator. We had to replace idk how many. One day i was out getting the alternator for the van. The person putting it in said to me, “you need to get a more powerful alternator so you won’t have any more problems with it. That is what I did and to stay the least we didn’t have to get another alternator for the van. The hydraulic lift in the van along with it being a bigger van, was draining all the power out of the alternator. So yes, I do know what alternator problems are. And also had to deal with buying a couple of batteries as well and other vehicles, and in this van. So glad you’re able to get it fixed. It sure is a blessing that you have someone that can do themechanic work.

When it rains it pours. Your video reminded me of time I couldn’t get to work, even though we had 3 vehicles. Both of our cars were in the shop, so my husband’s boss let him take his work truck home. He used the work truck to get me to work (graveyard shift). Then one night on the way home, he got a flat and had to have it towed to the Heavy duty vehicle shop, because no regular service station or tire store has tires that big. So, even though we had 3 vehicles, I couldn’t get to work that one night. Ridiculous. :D

As I said in my previous post, we gonna be here all night talking vehicle woes~ here's an alternator story.
It was 1995, so I was in our old 1980something truck, before we got the new 1996, and I'm on my way to work, I had made it down the freeway 20 miles, turned off onto the major 6 lane road headed in and out of downtown Fort Worth, sitting at a red light, and my Old Red just dies. The engine quit running and I was now BLOCKING MORNING TRAFFIC.
The Lord got me almost to work, 20 miles down the freeway, into town, right across from a mechanic's shop, and I will NEVER FORGET the mechanics all coming out to help and pushed my dead truck OUT OF THE WAY of morning traffic and across the street into their shop. It was as if angels upon high had flown down to rescue me!

@@thepressleygirls Our Lord has been in my life since birth. I've often called myself what my daddy called us, "CathaBaptaMethaPresa' because they tried them all! Mom was Catholic, Dad was Baptist, and after they married, they 'tried' all the churches. I was raised in Sunday Bible School and Summer Vacation Bible School. Faith comes easy to me, and like you girls, I now just carry on a daily relationship with God, talking all day, praying when I need to pray, and walking a life filled with confidence and not fear.

Car problems are no fun especially in the Winter. It's currently 31 degrees here during the day. I used to have VW Jetta. That thing was a pain. Always something needed to be fixed. So glad once I got rid of it!

Thankful you are up and running. Many many years ago, I had a 1973 Olds Cutlass Supreme and it left me stranded in the road two times. Every time thought it was the alternator, but it ended up being the voltage regulator. Never will forget that. I’m watching your video on Sat. 1/6 and we have 6 inches of snow with more coming down here in the eastern panhandle of WV. Hope you guys get some snow for your mom! Take good care. God Bless!❤️❄️
