I'm from Philly, the Eagles were playin Nnamdi in zone coverage. He's always been a press corner. Andy Reid had a habit of not playing players to their strengths.
When he first signed I thought him DRC and Asante Samuel no one would be able to throw the ball but Andy made his O-line coach D coordinator and the rest is history
The fact that this guy gave up 18 catches in two seasons is absolutely INSANE. As an Eagles fan, why did Andy Reid make this man play zone? Like this guy was legit impossible to throw at.
It's classic Andy Reid grab a guy who is good at one style of play and try to change him to Andy's scheme. It really never works but Andy kept doing it

Lol than Howard Mudd wondering why dude was late to practices and giving half ass attempts, and saying he turned on the TV one night and there Watkins is helping Philly fireman lol
@@datdemboy I loved Andy, I wish he got that Lombardi trophy here in Philly but he was so stubborn and for every great thing he did, he did one that made you scratch your head. You could do a whole top 10 list of weird things Andy did. I will nominate a few right now. Danny Watkins, Nnamdi playing zone, drafting Jeremy Bloom, wasting a 2nd round pick on Kevin Kolb, overpaying Stacy Andrews hoping that his brother Shawn would start loving football again, 1st round pick on Freddy Mitchell, letting Trotter go the first time, the game where we started Winston Justice at left tackle and he gave up 6 sacks and Andy REFUSED to help him. I thought of those in five minutes, id love to really sit down and put some thought into a list.
Yeah Andy was way to stubborn. And I feel as that 2010 and 2011 draft eventually sealed his fate. That game against the giants was brutal. Nnamdi was a great corner. No doubt. But he was not a true shutdown corner. A true shutdown corner shadows the opposing team's top receiver. Nnamdi did not. @@supersayainjesus7204 that was scheme, the Raiders simply lacked the foresight to move him around. Damien Richardson Honestly it would have worked a lot better in Philly if we had a real defense coordinator. When Jim Johnson passed away and when McDermott was fired, we made Juan Castillo our old offensive line coach into a Defensive coordinator. His scheme was one of the worst I’ve ever seen and they had players playing out of position. I think Nnamdhi also would have faired a lot better if he had better safeties since Nate Allen and Kurt Coleman we’re god awful. Sad to see it didn’t work out with Nnamshi since he’s a great guy but I’m happy to see him do great outside of football.
As an Eagles fan the site of this guy still causes trauma but I do commend him for what he's been able to do in the acting world. He's pretty damn good as an actor and producer

I was so excited about signing him. The eagles had a history of fantastic cornerbacks from Eric Allen (most underrated corner ever...compare his numbers with Deion Sanders...do it), to all those years with Lito Sheppard, Sheldon Brown, Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor and Asante Samuel teamed up with Brian Dawkins. Nnamdi was going to be the next one up...

You should do what happened to Osi Umenyiora (sorry if I butchered the spelling)
Vin Stephenson is it that defensive guy who played for the giants
Bruh you actually spelled it right 😂
THISSS!! but i guess the easy answer he played for the FAIL-cons! so i guess thats that
He had a good career, got old and retired, there, end of story.
He know presents some nfl in the uk
I believe that Vince Young said the Dream Team talk, and he was the back-up quarterback.
What happen to Vernon Gholston (Jets) and Keith Rivers (Bengals)
Hines Ward Broke Kieth Rivers jaw on a crack back block and his career was over after that. Plus he played for them Bum Bungels
THISSSS!!! he was sooo hyped
Of course I remember that hit... That’s why I’m asking what happened later.
@@joseanpizarro07 o, well he sucked. Couldn't cover, couldn't tackle , only had quickness .Ended up with Giants then released
FlemLo Raps videos never fail to amaze me. He's got great energy, is super entertaining, does thorough research, and a great job editing. Keep up the hard work and great videos. 👍
You are the BEST Football ANALYSIS/COMMENTATOR I have ever seen on RUclips Bro. I thoroughly enjoyed your video commentary along with insider track Stats and juicy info on the game and its players. Keep up the good work. PEACE. ☺☺☺
Correction my guy, Vince young was the one quoted as saying the eagles could be a dream team.
Broke my heart as a 🦅 fan. But taught us not to trust all free agents
Lmao y’all ruined him
Damien Richardson Honestly it would have worked a lot better in Philly if we had a real defense coordinator.
Ocho Cinco damn you typed a long ass paragraph 😂
or to not trust sorry coordinators
That was the dream team year right?
As an Eagles fan the site of this guy still causes trauma but I do commend him for what he's been able to do in the acting world. He's pretty damn good as an actor and producer
I love this dude always gives the inside info.
Mad respect to you Lo! Killing it keep it going best /most accurate NFL mini Docs on YT
I remember those days in madden 09 creating a team with both namdi and champ bailey
As a Dallas fan I remember when the Eagles signed him along with almost EVERYONE else good in fa that year. However I was pleased to see they did absolutely nothing with all those moves.
Same here and I remember Dallas trying really hard to get him too. They apparently were very close.
So sad to see his career cut a little bit short. He truly was a top cb in his prim.
Coming from an old divisional rival. This man was fucking dope!! Def one of the best corners w Revis of that time.
I nearly forgot about this dude, he was one of my favorite corners when I was a kid
Ah great, Dream Team Nnamdi Asomugha. I remember being hype when we picked him up in the free agency in 2011 and people calling me a bandwagon Eagles fan yet I had been watching them since 03. Vince Young HAD to come out with the "Dream Team" name and curse us.
I thought the Eagles were gonna dominate with him Asante Samuels and DRC. I was so wrong 😔😞
from the 3 asante samuel was our best corners
Didn’t they fired Andy Reid or was it a season later ?
I was so excited about signing him. The eagles had a history of fantastic cornerbacks from Eric Allen (most underrated corner ever...compare his numbers with Deion Sanders...do it), to all those years with Lito Sheppard, Sheldon Brown, Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor and Asante Samuel teamed up with Brian Dawkins.
Nnamdi was going to be the next one up...
On paper that was such a squad lol
I’m pretty sure it was Vince Young that ignited the “dream team” headline...
Been watched more than a few of your videos but today I finally subscribed and it was this video that made me realize I had to. When you said “...if this isn’t your first video you already know what time it is...” and said ‘que the Wayne’ at the same time lol that was the sign !
I am not into football it isn't my sport of choice i like combat sports..but i love this channel because of how indepth you go into the players story, how much information you manage to collect and how well you present the information. You almost make me a diehard football fan...your channel enhances my miniscule football IQ and I can't help but be interested in your videos...keep up the good work..
Vince Young was the one who said dream team. Just gotta say that piece
Uh yeah that was Vince Young that said they had a “Dream Team”.
Hey, Flemlo can you do a video on Peter Warrick? He was the best that never was.
Thank you for the stories they are events of people's lives that I would never have heard of if it wasn't for your interest
FlemLo, Thanks again for all of the research you do on these videos!
Yo I want a shirt that says “Cue the Wayne”
Me to
Good call
I remember when he signed with the Eagles and everyone thought it was a great move for the Eagles
Lengthy Corner with Speed that’s also Physical talk about Prototypical Corner , he’s probably doing really well in life but he would be a great college DB coach
Don't know what took me so long, because your vids are among - if not THE - best sports breakdowns on YT with top notch production. You da man Flemlo...SUB'd
As always this documentary is on point!
