Nice one! It took me years to learn to positively accept being alone. I realized that from a young age that I had been programmed to seek acceptance and validation from others, and without that, I would be unhappy.. I know different now. Great content!

I think "introvert" like to be alone. Today at sixty, I think I've lived half my life alone. I did have two relationship that gave a taste of what would be like to be married, that was eight years of my life. When I think back is almost like, I put myself on pause, to do the things that others wanted to do.

I was raised to marry. All the negatives taught were something about "not being good enough to attract a mate" ... don't be fat or too smart, or too independent. Two marriages later (and therapy) I am both embracing my alone time and reaching out to friends when I am lonely. 70 is turning into a year of learning, acceptance and peace. ❤👍
It’s inspiring to hear about your journey to self-acceptance and peace. The pressures from past expectations can be tough, and it’s wonderful that you’re finding your stride in embracing both solitude and the joy of connections. Your story is a powerful reminder that every year can bring new lessons and opportunities for growth. May your 70th year be filled with even more learning, acceptance, and joyful moments. Thank you for sharing your heart with us!
I absolutely prefer traveling alone … for years it was me, husband and 4 children … great memories but now it’s me and just as fun just in a different way ❤
Everyone is wired differently. I believe there is a spectrum between being an Introvert and Extrovert or somewhere in between. Experts call that an Ambivert. Veronica, I agree. Do what makes happy.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad the video resonated with you. It's true, being alone can be tough, especially at first. But just like you said, it does get easier over time. Embracing our own company can lead to wonderful self-discovery and growth. If you ever need tips or just want to share your thoughts, I'm here for you. Keep shining bright!
Just got out of a 2 hour work meeting…after these kind of meetings I need to have silence to recharge..I used to think that was strange. Now I couldn’t care less what others think..if that helps me regenerate my energy that is absolutely ok with me. I love being alone.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It's so important to honor what you need to recharge, especially after demanding situations like long work meetings. Embracing silence and solitude as ways to rejuvenate is not strange at all-it's incredibly wise! It's great to hear that you've embraced your need for alone time without worrying about others' opinions. Continue to do what works best for you, and enjoy every moment of peace you create for yourself. Here’s to more rejuvenating solitude!
Love my Sports & 8 Persian cats. People just don't understand. On weekends, I go out in the morning to eat & then food shop. Gotta admit I'm happy 85 % of the time & it beats the lonely 15 %. Sold my condo in Florida, but probably going back in 2 or 3 years, so in the meantime I'm in New York. We make our own happiness is what my 85 year old mom always says, lol... Please everyone think positive.
Thanks for sharing your joys with us! It sounds like you’ve got a fantastic routine that brings you happiness, and those Persian cats must be wonderful companions. Your weekends sound like a delightful balance of activity and relaxation. You’re right about making our own happiness-your mom’s wisdom is spot on! Whether in Florida or New York, it’s great to hear you’re finding ways to enjoy life. Keep embracing what you love, and thanks for the reminder to think positive. Wishing you continued happiness in all your adventures!
And not only that I just read an article recently from the psychologists when you're alone it's a proven fact that you are strong and intelligent. I personally I'm completely fine with being alone but that doesn't mean I don't want to have a partner I can adapt to anything I think that's the key being able to adapt
Thank you for sharing that insight! It’s interesting to see how solitude can be associated with strength and intelligence. Being comfortable with being alone is a wonderful trait, and it’s great that you're open to adapting to different situations, including sharing your life with a partner. Flexibility and resilience are indeed key qualities in navigating life’s various circumstances. Keep embracing your adaptability and enjoying your journey, wherever it may lead!
I just love being alone, but very rarely get the chance, I am a carer to my disabled husband, so being along is a rarity. When I am, I wallow in the space & time. It is perfection. 😊. 💕❤️💕❤️

Hello Veronica thank you for the video you look absolutely amazing as usual❤❤❤❤ I have been alone for 5 years now because I choose to. I am comfortable with myself loneliness does not exist most of my family is spread out throughout the United States my home state is Connecticut. But I love it here in Virginia I keep my circle small I don't get involved with drama or stress. I have worked my business for 18 years now I pick and choose what I want to do in my business. I have my dog Mia she is 13 years old and I pretty much do what I want when I want I guess I am semi-retired on the way to full retirement because I've had the same clients for 18 years and when they call me I usually do something for them other than that that's about it

Dr. Joe Dispenza has a great clip on YT titled “Why living alone is better for your soul than any relationship.” I can’t wait until I’m finally living alone, trying to get out of a damaged marriage to a narcissist.
Thank you for sharing that resource-it sounds like a valuable perspective for many who find solace in solitude. I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing in your marriage. Making the decision to prioritize your well-being and seek a healthier environment takes a lot of courage. As you work towards living alone, remember that you're not alone in your journey. There's a whole community here that supports you and wishes you strength and peace as you move forward to a place where you can truly thrive. Take care of yourself, and keep looking forward to those brighter days ahead.
I've been alone 7 years. I'm ok. I don't want someone constantly around me. I don't want to share my bed. I like the idea of doing what I want. When I build my collection of tiny homes we have a choice to socialize at a central pavilion or just be alone. There's nothing wrong with it
Thank you for sharing your perspective! It sounds like you’ve found a lifestyle that truly suits your preferences, and your tiny home community idea with a central pavilion for socializing sounds fantastic. It's great that you're creating a space where everyone can choose how much they interact while respecting their need for solitude. Embracing what makes you comfortable and happy is so important, and there’s definitely nothing wrong with enjoying your own space and freedom. Keep doing what feels right for you, and thank you for being a part of this conversation!
It’s wonderful that you’re considering stepping out into new experiences at this stage in your life. It’s completely normal to feel a bit scared about making changes, especially after enjoying your peace for so long. Listening to that inner voice telling you to start is a brave first step. Remember, it’s okay to take things at your own pace. Maybe try small, manageable outings or activities that feel comfortable but still allow you to engage more with the world around you. Every little step is a victory. You’re doing great, and I’m here cheering you on!
Thank you for sharing your feelings. Getting used to being alone can bring a lot of peace and self-discovery, and it's completely okay to be unsure about finding a partner. Enjoying your own company and feeling content in your own space are valuable experiences. Whether you choose to stay solo or decide to find a partner in the future, what matters most is doing what feels right for you. Keep embracing your journey with a smile!
Society pushes us to always date and settle. I lost my partner of 20 years almost 3 years ago and because I'm 42 (43 in 2 weeks) people expect you to just keep dating. People ask me all the time, you seeing anyone, I say no, there is no one I refuse to date online, tried it and it's awful. I'm better off alone. People do not like that answer. it's really important to recognize the power of no, when we say no you're also making the universe aware that there is something else you want brought your way.
Being single is the absolute best! Who wants a anchor with a attitude? No thanks I live alone I travel alone. People are just a pain to be around most of the time. I love my family very much but I have them in small doses! Ugh the thought of coming home to a women in the house makes me want to move already. Go get a gallon of milk and never return. I understand why people fake their deaths lol
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with such honesty! It sounds like you’ve really embraced the single lifestyle and the freedom it brings. Finding what works best for you is key, and if solitude and independence are what make you happiest, that’s fantastic. Keeping family interactions to doses that feel manageable for you is a smart way to balance personal happiness with family ties. Here’s to enjoying your travels and your personal space just the way you like it!
