HOT Morning Mahi Bite out of Beaufort

Jess and I were fortunate enough to get an invite to fish with our friend Trey and his son, Owen, on Memorial Day weekend. We left our home at 2 am (!!!) to meet-up with them and head offshore to fish some weedlines for Mahi. Within 5-10 minutes of the first baits hitting the water, we hooked up and ended-up putting 1/2 dozen in the box before the bite turned off. Jess managed a new Mahi PB for herself in addition to landing a giant False Albacore, while Owen landed the biggest Mahi of the outing with a 37" fork length. Overall, a great morning bite!
