depends on diameter of coil. You can do a bigger diameter, and the math all changes. Search for formula for cylinder inductors.

when the awg is for a wire that has too much resistance (thin wire), the circuit will not work as well. You might want THICK wire in the geometry of the coil size you pick. You can do BIGGER diameters.... like 10 feet diameter ... if you wanted to.
