My parents owned Los Monitos.. my grandparents opened Los Monitos in the 1930's. Flooding with memories...I spent a great deal of time riding my bike, Roller skating and training at the Kung Fu San Soo Studio on Holt, starting at the first location near Euclid then the move to the larger studio near campus. I cannot remember a day from my childhood that I didn't eat a Los Monitos Enchilada. Thank God I know how to make them and more. RIP Mom and Dad...

@@JerryJamesVlogs Many happy memories. My mom was the store manager for at least 10 years. Her boss sold it in 1980 without even warning her. Thank you.

I was born in 83. Grew up “mostly” in Ontario. We need to preserve as much as we can as citizens of the community.
    No more Warehouses!
Living off of 15 dollars an hour doesn’t help the community either.

Brings back memories... wish you could have included the old Ford store, Citrus Motors. My dad worked there. And Raul's Auto Trim, Xavier's batteries... both still there.

1:03. The Orange Hotel. I attended a few union meetings there as a boy when my dad was an officer in his union. 1:48. I remember Andy's. 1:57 I thought Los Monitos was still there. 2:52. Ritz Camera used to be Gordon Ayers Camera Store, back in the day.

I always wondered if they were actually photos of the orange hotel. The only ones I’ve ever found online were of postcard drawings if it.

S & W Auto Supply was Western Auto before that. I got a pedal tractor from there for Christmas when I was 5. 😊

My Mom said she thinks she may have lived upstairs in the apartment at 1:30 in the 50's. She's not certain but she says it's vaguely familiar. It was much nicer back then according to her. She and my dad used to sit on that little deck and watch car passing by.

At 1:48, it shows Andys Burgers, and then some apartments. The old Andys building is still standing although its a donut shop now. So not sure where the apartments came from

Los Monitos 🥲 brings back memories. The original owners were awesome and there food was like no other 👏. I remember they had this scary black mask up on the wall, it use to creep me out 🤭
