Woo hoo! We have been walking by and peering into the windows, and looking at the rear/east side. I am thrilled that we will have a smokehouse restaurant in Ontario. 😃

I’m so glad that someone invested money in these historical sites and it wasn’t demolished or turned into a church or taco stand ( nothing against taco stands but the city needs variety and more upscale places) Ontario has such a deep history in Southern California! My grandma went to chaffey high school in the late 1940s and raised her family in Ontario up until the 2000s!

I really love the history lessons you give in your videos. I like to add a bit of history to the places I film at as well. Plus you do such great narration. Big fan here. Jerry James your videos are absolutely fascinating. That is because YOU are a fascinating man.

Absolutely beautiful building. Glad the city decided not to demolish it and allowed someone’s vision to see it through. Can’t wait to try that rooftop bar.

I wonder if they were given property tax relief as an incentive? The city may issue a condemnation order, but they are seldom ready to "demolish it" because they never budget for that.

@@MrShobar if I remember correctly, and someone can correct me if I’m wrong, I thought the city sold the building at a ridiculously low cost with the agreement the new owner would restore and bring it up to code.

Need more restaurants downtown and variety. Bring in an Italian joint, comfort food. I belong to the Ontario Masonic Lodge, and we are always looking for a place near by to eat before or after a meeting and there isn't much and for what there is, doesn't stay open late. In addition, with the whole art scene, Pomona has had the art colony for years. Do something original like the old claremont village used to be. Boutiques, restaurants, bars. Like downtown upland is currently. It brings in revenue, and it brings in visitors.

My mother used to go (as a customer) to Richards Beauty College way back in the early 1960's
