About holding it together, watch Emma Heesters (Hay-sturs) singing s song yhat Floor wrote in her days with her former band After Forever. The song is called *_"Strong"_* and is about Floor's state of mind when her mother was suffering from an illness (and still is). Floor had to hold back her tears when Emma sang this song. Oh my, when she starts to whisper-sing, fans know what will happen, it'll ramp up.
This is the first try of this song for her (she must have practiced on this "Holiday in Ibiza"), she gives it the emotions.
"Prachtig" Magnificent. "When Floor does it, it hits you", "Beng!".
She said herself that she likes a challenge, she is a highly sensitive person, she can empathise.
The whole show was magical, each artist picking something special to sing for their new found friends.
Henk and Floors duet was a highlight of the show, they made a promise to do more in the future...

Hi. You found a very good source, with translation. I re-experienced the atmosphere from 2 years ago, when I first saw this show. What would be interesting here? Well, everything Floor played in the first place. Then - her episode, in which all the other singers had beautiful performances, including 2 Nightwish covers and 1 After Forever cover (Floor's first band). And not only that, the whole show was sprinkled with "pearls" of interpretation. I am convinced that you will enjoy :)
Ruben did a nice job with Sting's song "They Dance Alone". But there are plenty more gems in the season 19 of the #BesteZangers show.

This is the song that made me truly respect Floor with what she can do. I discovered her with Vilja Lied, liked all her performances up until this point.
But this song literally describes me. I have no dad (my parents divorced just after I was born) and the feelings described in this song, is exactly how I feel too. It was the first song that made me instantly feel exactly how it was. Even though i always hide those emotions, always. But this one hit so hard, I cried, and I still do.
I got extremely lucky and actually met Floor a bit over a week ago. I got to tell her about this song and its meaning to me, specifically her version of the song. I started crying because of it and she was so extremely sweet in her response.
This song and performance holds a special place in my heart.

Personally I like the Vilja song from this series most as it was the first song and nobody really knew who she was, the reactions of the people on the couch are hilarious 👸💪🇳🇱

Floor is magic, she has so much empathy. She was unknown nearly all the other 6 singers taking part but as she sang her first song to Henk Poort, called Vilja Lied they were astonished. Worth finding Ep 1 with subtitles. She also sang Shallow to young girl Emma Heesters, plus other great songs Winner, Mama and Que Se Siente.

So, my Texas brother. Did you ever think a METAL band would lead you to this song? Floor is able to bring out emotions with her voice and stage presence. I know this because I listened to her sing a song in Dutch, I think, and I was in tears. Well, she translated it into English. I understand now, it's not just the melody, the lyrics, the performer. The younger blond woman, Emma Heesters has her own U tube channel where she posts her music. She has over 4.55 million subs & is quite good.

For me, this was the best series of Beste Zangers, but then, I'm biased! ;-) I would recommend you check out the entire 2019 series, as all the artists are tremendously talented, come across as good folk, and have a real chemistry together. And the icing on the cake, of course, is Floor. Her performances show yet another facet to her many-stringed bow. She is surely one of the most, if not the most, versatile performers out there.
Oh, and a banger to continue with, her astonishing duet with 'Uncle' Henk Poort, of Phantom of the Opera.
