With his plateu due to knee surgeries I was happy to see him find a successful role on the Pistons. In Detroit we welcomed him and his role was a big contribution to the Pistons 04-05 season. He was a beast in his prime and a solid player even with a bum knee. I remember Dice for his IQ but we can't forget this man's freakish athleticism as well
Great video! I went to HS with Antonio. I had several classes with him. Our HS team was stacked with a few D1 players. He was humble and wasn't a show off. We are very proud of him and the man he is on and off the court.

He was my favorite player. He was better than KG, Webber, and Rasheed. I bought his authentic NBA jersey the year he went to NY. I still have that Knicks jersey and it bums me out every time that I look at it.
Antonio McDyess has admitted he regretted leaving Phoenix. It was always a head scratcher going back to Denver because a trade from Denver originally happened as mentioned because the Nuggets wouldn't offer 100 million. Ive read they offered 70 million. But he came back for less. Im pretty sure Suns were willing to resign him for the max at that time after the lockout (7 years 84 million).
I thought so too but just checked. He joined pistons in 05, 1 year after they won the chip. And spurs from 09-11 and I think spurs won in 12 or 13. But the 09-11 runs were close west conference finals losing to suns and lakers.. He played for 5 teams, 7 in total if you count going back to previous teams in a roughly 13year career
McDyess was a MONSTER before them knee surgeries
