This is beautiful... and no, people aren't applauding the video game instead of the music, they're applauding BOTH for the nostalgia, and I'd be right along with them if I was in the hall! This piece of music is universally loved by the amjority of gamers, who couldn't take to it, it's catchy and iconic in a way that few pieces of music are. So much so that it's incorporated in some way even the most modern of Mario Games (the very first tune played here is anyway). The music has stood the test of time and should be honoured in this way.
