@@Supreme0757For the most part yes. But his bodies kept deteriorating because of the corruption of the Dark Side. He needed one of Leia son’s body to house his soul.
They aren't a canon or legends thing, there's been those who straddle the line but no official dark or grey jedi, so it's likely just a one off title in the comic
Well then you've never heard of Yun, did you? Young deceived Dark Jedi, deceived by daughter of Kronal, one of the most valuable Emperor's Hands especially after Emperor's death. Yun though he and squad of dark Jedi lead by Jerec were actually "THE Jedi". And he wielded yellow lightsaber, which Kyle Katarn inherited after Yun died.
Bro I would rethink that if I were you, palp is definitely into that goth domination kink. He would definitely zap you while hitting you from the back while you repeat, “glory to the empire!” And he is wrinkly like a dingaling
It's a really dumb line, but realistically what else would Po have said? He's not a Jedi, he doesn't understand any of this force shit, so that would be something most people would probably say.
@MegaDrain exactly. Arguably most regular jedi probably wouldn't know how palpatine returned. A lot of them had no idea how to manifest as force ghosts after death. This essence transfer was very obscure Sith knowledge as well.
The Legends Palpatine Lore is much better than Canon, it's nice to see him make some frantically loyal followers and not just re-appearing with help from nameless mooks. He also actually plans things in Legends instead of "I lost and now i'll burn everything down", where in Canon was he going to get his resources to build another Empire if he was destroying his resources first?
Some of these Dark Empire minion characters might as well be nameless, they don't go on any arcs. Legends just has a big hard-on for naming everything possible.
Kind of absurd that a Jedi holocron, of all things, would carry the secret to essence transfer. The only way this makes sense is if it detailed how it worked, only to illustrate its principles, to teach one to ward it off. Then Palpatine would simply learn part one and ignore part 2. Then, destroying that holocron when he was done. All so no would be vessel could obtain this knowledge and how to stop him.
There actually is a book to explain the machinations of the Emperor, and Luke and backstory of Rey and her parents. A book called Shadow of the Sith. I've been listening to the audiobook, I'm on chapter 14 of 67. Already, we have some Sith sorcerers, Exegol, bounty hunters, Lando, Rey's dad being a non force sensitive clone cast aside, Luke doing badass stuff, force ghost Anakin speaking to Luke, Ben Solo a studious teen Jedi. Why am I 1/4 through this book and it's already better than the entire sequel trilogy? This is how the sequels should have started. The book trying to explain the sequels, is better than the sequels itself 😂
The Dark Empire truly dog walked The Rise of Skywalker. Personally, I think it’s better that Palpatine just legitimately died in ROTJ instead. But I love the video, truly a Star Wars master
I love Palpatine’s return. I understand it should’ve been explained better in the Rise of Skywalker And the movie should’ve been Like 3 to 4 hours long. But The Books help fill in the gaps. The fact Palpatine had been planning The Sith Eternal Fleet Well before his death makes me think he was planning On Expanding Into the unknown regions and Other galaxies and using all his planet killing weapons To destroy any Threat the other galaxies might have. And To think if Omega was never freed He would’ve Succeeded in Cloning a force user without the Down sides and he would’ve become immortal. Now Combined that with the Space and Time Bending Power of the Dyad and he’d be nearly unstoppable Only Being Overpowered by Abeloth and WBW Anakin
Friendship is a liability that Superior beings can't afford , it is better to have loyal minions . In order to have " friends " you would have to care about them in some obscure way , but loyal minions care about you and you don't have to reciprocate.
1:03 the warping of the force as the face comes to resemble Abeloth, the force will always corrupt even if one has thought they have learned to control it. It always rewrites
They could've taken 10 minutes of the movies to explain this or smth close to this and we all would be fine with Palpatine returning that's still doesn't mean that movie would be good 😂😂
I’m 26, I’ve been watching you on and off since I was a senior in high school, seen a hefty amount of videos and this was personally one of the most interesting. Just my personal opinion. Awesome content as always
But wasn't it said and stated that people with medoclurlens or whatever can't be cloned, but then you have Palpatine and starkiller that are cloned so which is it can people with medoclurlens aka force sensitive's be cloned or no
@katakisLives exactly why i am saying i once thought that it was impossible, but then we have galen Marek and even Palpatine , so ig it's hard but not impossible
I doubt it. He's a jedi Droid who's purpose is to guide younglings in building lightsaber and basic training. He'd have no reason or way of having a sith saber in his records in my opinion. Be cool if he did tho
I feel like stars has been dead for a long while now since disney, i dont think it can be recovered....ever. Fortunately, Dune is absolutely amazing, you might want to start reading all the books...thankfully, Dune has not been tainted by disney
These deep dives in the original canon is enjoyable. Can't stand what Disney has done to it. I would be interested to learn of Sith who turned from the dark side and joined the light side. Particularly those who were Sith for many years.
See what you have to keep in mind is that once Disney bought Star Wars from George Lucas it lost all credibility and became garbage. So Palpatine didn’t survive, what you saw on the screen in the theater is just a what if. It’s - what if a greedy corporation thought the only way to attract the new audience was to separate its content so much from its roots that the younger generation would be able to disassociate itself from what was perceived to be a story told for an audience that would consist mostly of a bunch of toxic old white men. Clearly, its success has created a model for all future entertainment endeavors.
This guy’s relationship with Palpatine is basically how the archivist is to The Stupdendous Wave.
Ride or die 😎
Thought you were going to say annoyed..lol.
Palpatine's most loyal and trusted friend: Himself.
As it should be.
Darth Sidious's death is more brutalizing in Legends than the main canon because he was reborn in a clone body.
I’ve heard but haven’t read it yet. Does he still retain his full force potential in the clone body
@@Supreme0757For the most part yes. But his bodies kept deteriorating because of the corruption of the Dark Side. He needed one of Leia son’s body to house his soul.

Very much enjoy the dark lore you've been posting about lately. Wish we had more of it in canon star wars.
I’m just imagining Palpatine and his best buddy Jenga Tower Droga riding matching Harley Davidsons around the Death Star beltway…

Sorry for the late comment Stupendous but love the video and can’t wait for more Palpatine related videos
Palpatine ride or die is Craaazy
0:10 they do explain it though, he did it the same way he did in legends. Don’t ignore the lore just to appeal to the sequel haters.

Stop calling it "canon" and "legends". Legends *is* canon; Didney Wars is not.
