I've had mine for about 5 years. I like working on old bikes. As a result of that, a lot of stuff passes through my hands and I've tried a lot of different models. For a daily driver it doesn't get any better. The balance of comfort, tractable but capable torque, speed and style here is just unbeatable. You always hear reviewers mention that it isn't as fast or aggressive as a crotch rocket or some of the modern naked bikes. While that may be true, it's almost certainly faster than 99.9% of riders out there (myself included).
I've own my Kawasaki ZRX1200R since I bought it new it 2005. Put an Akrapovic titanium full exhaust, k&n filter, 4 degree ignition advancer, custom jet kit, Borg & Warner racing clutch, 3 teeth up in the rear sprocket. Ran a 10.38 at the track stock ( not stretched no wheelie bar ). Got 23,000 miles on it now and it still runs like new. I also owned a 1970 Kawasaki KZ1000A with a Denco exhaust, jet kit and air filter pods, only one I've ever seen with factory mag wheels not spokes...Been a Kawasaki rider all my life...Great video...
I love my 1100. Gets crazy abd the mist dependable bike ever made. I mean that. It is the number one most dependable bike ever made . It's the bike you keep forever...
Bought mine new in early 2002 and my son who was 9 at the time really really wanted it then, and he’s still after it now 21 years later 😂. I’ve done the decent thing though now and left it to him in my will !!🤣. I told him that some things in life are worth waiting for and a 1200zrx is one of those special things 😊. Definitely a wonderful bike 😁👍🏴
I really enjoyed my ownership experience of my old ZRX. Only got rid of it as it really was not suited to long distance journeys due to the wind blast at higher speeds. Over here in the UK these bikes sell for big bucks, with good examples commanding upwards of $10,000
Thats it,.. I'm doing my wheels gold. Cant afford aftermarket ultra lights but the gold looks sweet ! ? I want to do an inverted front end. Think the gsxr head set fits like on the old KZ'S ? I'm running out of mods to ad,😅
How does this compare to the 1100? I can find the 1100 for a very good price but the 1200 is increasing in value, especially the green ones. Would like to compare to the xjr1200 or 1300 and bandit 1200 1250
🏴😎😁💚🎊🏍🎊💚 l've Had my ZRX 1100 for 21years!!!! & at 66 lm Looking Forward to the Next 21years of Riding Her She will always float my Boat!!!! I just Love All 💚ZRX'S with a Passion!!!! they are!!!! AWESOME!!!!! 😁👍
I’ve never road either of those bikes so it’s hard for me to compare. Just from looking at pictures, I personally like the ZRX more. IMO the ZRX is a cool modern classic motorcycle that has a lot of character like a lot of older motorcycles
1100s are easier to bore out no nakasium coating anyone that knows these engines knows the 1100 is better for building 1300 CC's making over 140 horse with the ZX cams
@@trevorburth1432terrible. start on a smaller bike. there's zero shame in it. you can find a lot of 250-500cc bikes for sale regularly because someone learned on it and is ready to move up. get one of those, ride it for a season and ride it a lot, then move up.
That's a 2003 model...
yeah i realized that after i already filmed everything lol

I bought a 2003 ZRX1200R new and I put over 52,000 miles on it through the years and it stills runs great.
I've been riding my 2001 ZRX for 15 years now. Still love it. 😁
They are very underappreciated motorcycles

Best ZRX video I’ve come across
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it!
Looks extra rad with those gold wheels
I came from Suzuki GS1100 and etc... Got out of the game as I grew older at 57!!! But have been looking at these for a few months now!! Thanks!
This is mine, thanks for this vidéo👍
What wheels are those?
Love my z rex! It was my childhood dream bike
They are great motorcycles! super underrated

The zrx1200 definitely puts out more than 120 crank. They dyno in the 130’s with just an exhaust

My fave toy. great vid. have fun.
Thanks so much!
Great review
Thanks man!
Nice rims and pipe. Got a 2002. Love em.
are they reliable?
Beautiful motorcycle.
The styling is similar to the kz100 Edie because its a resto-mod by kawi of that bike
Good stuff man.
Thank you really appreciate it!

Those gold wheels👌
They really make the bike pop and stand out from the rest of the ZRX'S

What is the price for those gold wheels👍
Reasonably fast ? I got the same bike same color same pipe and some other tricks. I'm running 10.68 @ 147mph
How do you think it compares to the gsx1400 and the yamaha XJ 1300?

How would this be for a first bike
I have a chance to get one but just don’t know
