Beats used to be the titan in personal audio as you see their headphones and earbuds everywhere you go; TV shows, movies, that person on the bus. Today they are a bit hidden away after Apple acquired them years ago, but the Beats Fit Pro feels like they still pack a punch!

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
They should make them in "Earwax Brown" and "Earwax yellow"

Having the option for ANC for one ear bud is great. I am deaf in one ear so I only ever use one ear bud at a time.
One earbud noise cancellation is mostly for using transparency mode when you use them as hands free headset.
It’s also accessibility feature for those who for example don’t hear on one ear and therefore use only one earbud.
Also you can change what canceling options it cycles through when holding buds by clicking “left” or “right” in Press and Hold settings.

Spatial audio and head tracking are 2 different things if I am not wrong then, and head tracking can be easily deactivated. But without spatial audio, man it's a vast difference. Spatial audio is a must, head tracking can be annoying at times though.
Got these and I love them, I think most people will prefer the slightly higher bass and I can still clearly hear everything else. It has the same features as the airpods pro + the skin detection sensor which is amazing. Just the case quality really isn't outstanding, but it works and charges really quickly. The bud battery life is better than on the airpods pro. The microphone is slightly worse because there's no stems - it's further away from the mouth so it sometimes struggles.
A lot of reviewers say that they have problems with accidental button taps, but when you use it for more than a few hours, you learn how to put them in without that. And the wing also hurt me at first, but the ear kinda "adjusts" and gets used to it relatively quickly, even if the pain was annoying.
If Apple owns beats though...
When James looks like he sucked the earbuds into his ears
Definitely need more details on this one regarding the comparison with the powerbeats pro as well.
Would love to know the comfortability and comparison/test with other options as well including other beats and Samsung Buds/Airpods
There's a difference between Spatial Audio and Spatial Audio headtracked though. To say Spatial Audio is the head turning thing is wrong to a certain degree. It's ONE of the modes. Spatial audio in itself is great. Not as bad as all the wanna be virtual surround shit that has been a thing so far. The headtracked thing I don't need with music, but I do not mind it when watching movies. It's just something along the lines of not actually having earbuds/headphones on, nice simulation, I guess. What the God damn ever.
But also, and no one ever God damn mentions that, the headtracked spatial audio prevents listening fatigue. Let's disregard listening fatigue, which many people experience, it plays especially well with autistic people. I've met plenty who are very sensible to loud noises (To the point of excruciating pain). To not have everything blasting from all the sides in stereo (which is worse than having it spatial, around you), you can have it on one or the other side every other minute, or multiple times per minute, or what the hell ever through the head tracking. Helps tremendously with that kind of stuff.
Good that you pointed that out
Oh man, that's so painful to read. Of course you're going to use people with the tism to bolster your argument. And you've "met plenty" who experience excruciating pain? Where are you meeting all these autistic people, engaging in conversation about ear buds, and then jabbing all of them tell you about the excruciating pain they experience? Come on.
@@littlejackalo5326 thats.... something that autistic person really would like to talk about

I hope Linus does a video comparing Apple’s lineup of earbuds. My gen 1 AirPods are ready to be replaced.
Do you guys think these will be comfortable for small ears? Because I tried beats studio buds but they uncomfortable I didn’t like the fit at all
I am using the a Baseus headphone and I think they nailed the paring process. Just open the case and it will be detectable. If you remove one of them you can pair just the one in case you wanna save battery or make a call. If you disable bluetooth and enable it will pair again automatically. if it unpairs just hold-tap until it beeps, there you go paired again. Touch interface is ok, right double tap pauses and resumes, right triple skips and left triple go back. It misses sometimes but is good enough.
I actually started laughing along to the dancing volume slider too, hahahaha!
impressive how Beats is always ahead of AirPods with battery life
And its impressive that you can throw all of those small plugs away after 3 years of heavy use since the battery is fucked.

Hi , I got the Beats Fit Pro but I'm having problems with the play/pause, forward, rewind bottom. It works just 2 or 3 times after I take earbuds from the case and then doesn't work anymore (even if I did the 15 seconds reset). While it's working the function volume up volume down doesn't work. It seems strange to me coz I had the same problem with the Power beats pro. I have a samsung a70 with android 11. The Apple assistance couldn't help me they just want me to send the earbuds back to check and repair them. I'm not sure it depends from the earbuds (both models PowerBeatsPro and BeatsFitPro are brand new). I suppose it depends from the settings... Have you ever hear about that problem and eventually the solution of it? Thank you!
I've been using this for a week and one thing that i noticed was that you have to press really good the buttons on the buds to skip pause etc. Is it just me or is this normal?
I’m undecided between those and the soundcore liberty pro 3
But I’m probably going for the latter, they seem to be the best option. That circular tip looks scary tho, those beats are shaped like the AirPods Pro which are the most comfortable I ever wore
The soundcore look massive
love that other brands are adopting the earbud single ear volume controls..
Jabra has had these on their wireless earbuds since the Elite 75t released (I think this was on the 65t as well)
12:40 actually that's only half correct. If you use Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos / multichannel content. It will automatically place these channels virtually around you. This is why (front) stereo is made to come from the device. With the right content (movies, spatial audio on Apple music) it's absolutely works perfectly.
But... Do you need the special apple chip for that? Why is it even a feature of the headphone, instead of the player?
@@b33thr33kay i could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the earbuds themselves do all of the processing for the spatial audio
Yeah, that wasn't a very accurate explanation of what spatial audio is (the video, not your comment). The head tracking is just an optional feature on the side that works well with it.
My Powerbeats Pro is malfunctioning as soon as the beats Fit Pros came out. The right pair dies at 95% percent that is working for only half an hour. I updated to a new firmware but the problem still exists.
Can you address the issue of interference with Wi-Fi? I recently got a cheep TWS buds and when connecting to my laptop (Bluetooth 4.2) the connection periodically drops. Also my friend has a flagship pair of buds and has similar issues. Thanks and keep up the great work.
I have a not so common question about the fit pros that i want to know if anyone can answer who has these?
Im like daniel and use the power beats pro. Simply because my ears automatically reject any ear buds even when im not working out. I need a (Hook) to keep them in place. Is anyone out there like this too? My ear holes are not supper small but somehow always reject any ear bud. Its insane no matter how deep i force it in.
My question is, for those who have this problem, have you tried the fit pro? and dose its little hook they added really keep the ear bud secure during regular day to day life for someone who has my ear rejection problem?
Please someone answer. I just need to know if the little hook even helps secure the but at all because my ears can only depend on hooks for any activity. I see the hook could curve into the upper enclosed part of the ear. But no one has really shown or gave detail on how good the hook works. Please please if anyone has this issue and has tried it with the fit pro please answer this question. Thank you.
That’s not what spatial Audio is… that’s head tracking, a sub-feature within spatial audio that can easily be turned off. I think James should give spatial audio another shot, with a track that is properly mastered for it.
How do these stack up against the power beats pro, would you guys do a comparison?
The noise canceling with one earbud works on airpods pro, it’s in the accessibility settings on iphone
If they work like the AirPods pro, which judging by the app they do, the right mic will be used by default and the left will only be used if you remove the right bud from your ear.
The hold both left and right gesture is used on the jabra elite 75t to pair it.
Can you use them individually or is the normal master (right) and slave (left)
I’m noticing the magic connect pairing is a little off.. I have to put my ear buds back in case 2 or 3 times because it just won’t connect to my phone. Also if my case is dead but the earbuds have full power they won’t connect.
The burpees and head banging was very much appreciated 😂 ngl
I appreciate this video for various reasons.
I am surprised, you don't have some "standard background noise" yet. I'd expect it for headphones especially for the ones with noise canceling
"beat by jono" i laughed...hard😂
Is the ANC as good on these as the AirPods Pro? And do the Powerbeats pro have ANC?
Love the sound quality
This "Short" Circuit is longer than usual..

James: how much graphics are you going to have on screen?
Editor: Yes
I would like to know how they compare to the Soundcore Air 2 Pro.
I think this video is the reason the gray ones go for sooo much cheaper on amazon now hahaha
These are better in every way compared to the Powerbeats Pro. I’m surprised they didn’t outright replace them
With the case open, the lid is loose enough to actually wiggle and rattle.
Anyone have the same experience?
I love the way this male model presents the technology.
But why male models?
Please has anyone else experienced the following issue: everytime I'm out walking and put my phone in my pocket whilst listening to music, the signal completely cuts out to the point where I have to take my phone out and repair them, as the audio in the left and right is not playing synchronous. I tried updating the firmware, resetting the beats, even did a 2nd return and this annoying issue persist. I can only listen to music without the audio cutting out or stopping if I have my phone in my hand and this shouldn't happen. I own a pair of Studio 3 and I can have my phone anywhere and they don't cut out/disconnect at all... Anyone with the same issue and potential solution??
Wow I'm surprised you don't like spatial audio when watching movies. I use the air pods pro with my apple tv often when watching movies. It's basically like having a full surround sound system in your living room, or similar to a movie theater. The immersive feeling you get is incredible for dolby atmos movies. I tried the "spatialized stereo" feature when listening to music while working but that's actually a bit weird. In that case I prefer stereo.
Yeah I LOVE it for movies and tv. Even with the head tracking disabled, it brings the sonic experience to a whole new level. It’s good enough that I don’t mind too much having to watch it on a smaller screen :)
Very much a mixed bag with music though. Sometimes the spatialise stereo mode sounds better than proper atmos mixes.
@@rufusvonpieru1588 Exactly! With great sound you can get away with a smaller screen and still have a “cinematic” experience.
When you say tap, its not the touch sensitive gesture correct? It's that nice tactile tap/click you were talking about in the beginning of the video?

so its $100 for the earphones and $100 for the beats logo on the sides.. Cool beans!
touch n hold volume is in the galaxy buds 2 i cant rmr if its default and the cycling between anc and transparency is the same thing too
After Apples newly released update mine failed a couple off times to install it(Android) so I tried to reset them and now Im fucked.... Now they wont pair with either the app(android) or directly via Bluetooth... anyone else?
I love your quickies, but when you review an Apple product tailored to an Apple user you should take that into account, use an Apple device for pairing. Reference a lack of features for android. You should have dual paired this with AirPod pros and put one in each ear. I own both and these sound better, have better battery life, and might be a better fit for a lot of people. You sold them short, are they perfect? No. But they’re also kinda AirPods 2.0 for people who’s ears don’t work well with the first gen. 🤷♂️ Most companies have extended return policies through the holiday, I recommend them, and if you want AirPods with a different fit, give these a shot.
Do you find the beats to be more bassy than the Pros and less clear? And are the hooks soft and flexible? My best fit was the 2’s with earbuddyz, but the 3’s and Pros sound better. I wish someone would do a video saying “this is how they sound with rock, rap, country, pop, various movie soundtracks, etc.”
They have really good bass, especially for buds, but they’re also quite clear. A lot of people are talking about them as they’re honestly better than the airpod pros and they fit so much better. The pros fell out for me and these never do. I’d say they’re totally worth it.
Also the tips are just fine. They will I believe eventually start to press against your ears in a slightly uncomfortable way, but that should be after 1-2 hours plus at least.
Your advice may be valid for Apple BRANDED products (like AirPods) but Beats is a cross-platform line. It's supposed to work on both Android and iOS. His testing is totally fair.
You do realize they have an app that gives them all the functionality of ios
